Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thanks @averylayne ! It’s unfortunately discontinued... 🙁 , I’m still wondering why? It hasn’t been replaced by a newer one ( i’m still hoping that PTR might eventually replace it with a 2.0 version 🙄 with a bio-cellulose material  instead of cotton 🤞 ). If you have mask pellets, you might be able to make a similar mask by using TO Buffet and any hyaluronic acid serum ( I would use TO Marine Hyaluronics serum ) and leave it on for 20-30 minutes...💛

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@keana1 oh no, hate when they discontinue favorite items...but biocellulose would be a great 2.0 version! thanks for the great tip with TO buffet/hyaluronic acid 👍🏼

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

So good to see you around @keana1!
Looks like a lot of great masking! I see a lot of loves of mine in there too!

Just curious, what was it that you didn't like about the Laniege mask? I've tried all masks from this line except that one, but plan to use it soon so it might be nice to know what I'm getting myself into 😬

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thanks @Shosh85 ! This LaNeige mask is made of a very thin cotton material which I ended up accidentally ripping when I delicately unfolded it, it didn’t moisturize much and it had a strong household cleaner smell. It didn’t cause me to have a migraine ( I know that you’re migraine prone too and certain fragrances are one of the triggers 🤕 ) but it was unpleasant and I couldn’t wait to remove it after the recommended time. I hope that you’ll have a much better experience with it than I did  I’ve tried the nos. 4 and 5 before and I had a great experience with both, unlike the no. 6. The ingredients list is also underwhelming ( except for the vit C derivative which is the last ingredient ). I hope that this helps you and if you already have one, be extra careful when you unfold it, you might want to use a hydrating serum before ( I didn’t ). 🤗

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@keana1  Thank you so much! It's nice to know what to prepare myself for! I had a feeling it might have a cleaner type of smell 😬

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Glad you enjoyed it @keana1!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thanks @ShortErica ! I can’t wait to try the other ones! At the moment, I have to use the ones that expire soon ( and I have a few of them ) 💕

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I'm in the same boat still tackling expiring ones @keana1. But I'm at the point where I can use some others and still stay ahead of schedule.

RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

O is for oil. Well, it claims to mattify an oily complexion. Last time Itried this I didn’t see much of an effect. But my skin was epically oily this morning, and well, maybe it worked. But the best part about these Sephora stick masks (are they discontinued?) is the scent and ease of application. And, in typical Weetart fashion, this Bamboo one actually had an okay flavor to it. Which is good for slobs like me when it comes to washing off masks. My skin does feel wonderful and even at the moment. Good experience, and the performance reflects the price point.

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Weetart, I found this one works best on the oilier parts of my face.

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Weetart  I also enjoy this one!! Love your green face!

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Weetart  Love the green! Happy to hear it worked well for you! When I looked at the app it's showing that they're in stock, but half-price right now, so I'm wondering if that means discontinued soon 😢🤔

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Weetart are they discontinued?? I like this one!!

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Excellent point about the price reflecting performance, @Weetart. It is true in so many cases, sometimes it's better than expected but sounds like this one is right on target. I've seen them on clearance for awhile now so I am guessing they are on their way out.

RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

O is for oeuf. Another one I have used and reviewed often on these mask of the weeks. It’s just one of my favorites what can I say! I’ve pretty much stopped sheet masking most evenings because my skin gets too saturated with the rest of the routine. So I mainly do morning and sometimes midday sheets. The Too Cool for School hydration sheet mask is one of my favorites, my skin just soaks it up and I love the slick texture. Tackiness goes away with a little pat pat here and there.

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Love the “O” @Weetart! I really like this mask! One of my faves from The Too Cool For School collection.

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Weetart  Glad you liked this one!! Do you notice a scent?

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I love your use of "O" @Weetart 😄

Re: RE: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Weetart  Everyone seems to give this one such great reviews, which makes me really wish I had grabbed a box of these when I saw them at TJ Maxx! Glad to hear it remains a favorite for you! 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

L is for Love ♥️

I love coffee. I love the smell of coffee. I love masks that smell like coffee... 😉 Americano.jpeg

The Hiddencos Americano Mask Sheet is not new to me; I may have posted about it more than a few times on BIC, so I'll keep it short and sweet. It's a tan-beige hued cotton sheet mask saturated in a tan-beige tinted essence that smells wonderfully of strong coffee (though I'm not sure if that's a result of the Arabica coffee extract from Colombia (which as the 13th ingredient is a bit further down the ingredients list than I had hoped)  or from the added fragrance (sigh, but it's the last ingredient listed). The mask adheres well and with a few snips here and there, the fit can be made to work. The essence takes some time before it's fully absorbed in to the skin and leaves a very slight tacky-to-the-touch feeling which works out well in my mind for morning masking. The mask is geared at moisturizing and nourishing the skin; it does a nice job of both, though I would say it's more moisturizing than nourishing. I very much enjoy this mask; it's a repurchase and will continue to be so.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  I agree with the love of coffee!! Just the scent makes me happy! This mask sounds perfect!!
