@heartsmyface  Ooh, these sound wonderful! Slimy, jelly, snail and plump are all words I like to hear! 😃 Glad you enjoyed them!

This was a white sheet with milky white serum, the sheet fit decently and stayed adhered to my face the entire 20 minutes. A little extra serum in the package, I used to reapply after removing the mask. My only critique is the scent, I love a good scent, however this one imo leaned more twords perfume fragrance and a tad on the strong side. Luckily after applying the sheet, the scent dissipated. After removing my skin looked less dull, felt hydrated, cleansed and moisturized. I'd rate this a A- for the scent

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

You had me on this mask until the strong perfumed fragrance @lmaster. I'm not adverse to a scent in a mask and I can be persuaded to look beyond added fragrance if it's near the end of the ingredients list and the mask smells good, but perfume scents in sheet masks aren't my thing. It's too bad because the ingredients in this mask look really good! On to the next mask, right?! 🙂

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

You got that right! @itsfi 🤣

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Hmmm perfume scent totally unnecessary, @lmaster - but the serum sounds excellent!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe I really don't care for that kind of scent on my masks,, just give me fruity or floral 😆 but mostly fruity 😉

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  Ouhhhhh, A- even with a scent that not ideal is pretty high praise.  I’m happy to hear this one worked out so well!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  It's too bad about the scent, but everything else sounds wonderful! Glad it turned out nice for you! 🥕😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 the scent was a bit strong at first, but it didn't smell like carrots!! 😆

We Bare Bears X Missha Herb In Nude Sheet Mask ~Moisturizing Care~

This is a thin and transparent cotton sheet mask that was saturated with serum and enough extra in the pouch for neck and hands. It had a light rose scent that wasn't too noticeable while the mask was on. The fit was ok - just a little too long at the chin and a teensy bit too wide at the temples. It had great adherence and was comfortable to wear the half hour I had it on. After removing, it took less than 10 minutes for the serum and tackiness to absorb. My face felt refreshed, nicely moisturized and was soft and smooth.

This is the second mask I've tried from the line and I really enjoyed them both. I'm not sure I'd put a whole lot of effort in finding these but I'd definitely use again!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 I bought this one after you tried it awhile ago and loved it. Nice mask, the eye ones are good, too!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe  I've never tried this one before, but I did try the hydrating version that has a white bear on the packaging. Both great in my opinion though! Glad to hear you've enjoyed the brand so far too! 😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 @Ha, that show is super cute.  Ice bear is my favourite.  Did it have a bear print on it?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@heartsmyface  The bears are adorable and I would've loved if the mask had some kind of print, but it was just a plain ol' sheet mask 😉

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 these are really cool themed masks, happy you enjoyed it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  It really is a fun theme and those bears are so cute! 🐻

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Haha, I tasked but didn’t mask last night. I’m lucky to have gotten a barebones skincare routine done at all. But here’s what happened over the weekend:

Sunday night’s mask was Peripera Sparkling TokTok Time - Cherry Refreshing. A friend sent this to me after I asked where she got her last batch of Peripera masks—because I was kinda iffy about ordering again from RoseRoseShop. (They carry the Peripera Smoothie and TokTok masks.) I didn’t expect her to send me a bunch of ‘em! Anyway, I’d never tried any of the TokTok masks until last night.

The TokTok Time masks are new to me.The TokTok Time masks are new to me.

Notes:

Spoiler

Claims: Combats wrinkles; provides refreshing hydration; protects fatigued skin. Peripera says the Sparkling TokTok Time masks will “clear away sebum, grease, and impurities with clean carbonated water.” I’m not so sure about that, but I do believe the anti-wrinkle, refreshing hydration, and skin protection claims after reviewing the ingredients.

Ingredients: Ooooh, 3 peptides, including Matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide-4) which can indeed reduce lines and wrinkles. Sweet cherry extract is a good vitamin C source. Peripera specifically calls out Pollustop® (the brand name for biosaccharide gum-4) as the fatigued skin protector, but cherry extract’s antioxidants are also effective protectors. I also see licorice root extract and 3 forms of hyaluronic acid, plus skin-soothing wrinkle-fighting adenosine.

Spoiler
Water, Glycerin, Butylene glycol, Propanediol, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Arginine, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Allantoin, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Prunus Avium (Sweet Cherry) Fruit Extract (1000ppm), Methylpropanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Biosaccharide Gum-4, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Glutathione, Oligopeptide-29, Oligopeptide-32, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Chlorphenesin, Fragrance

Performance: Despite the mask’s name, sleeve front design, and carbonated water ingredient, it’s not fizzy at all. It’s a super thin stretchy sheet with no backing. I could really have used a mesh backing on this one. Nearly all the serum was on the sheet, with just a tiny bit left in the sleeve. The sheet covered my jaw and was a good length for my face; no scissor tailoring required. It was very cooling on my skin. The scent reminded me of cherry powdered Kool-Aid from my 1970s childhood; made me smile and wasn’t overbearing. I wore it for 30 minutes, then massaged serum into my skin for just 30 seconds. No tack or pilling, but my face did have a slight white cast. Thankfully it disappeared after a minute or two.

Results: Nicely hydrated, mildly moisturized, and soft skin. More than anything, my skin felt VERY refreshed, as if I’d just held my face in a bowl of cool fizzy water for several minutes. I definitely needed moisturizer afterward, but my face didn’t feel dry anywhere. These results + the ingredients = a morning mask contender. This is another sparkling rosé, more brut than demi-sec, in the 90-92 point range. I’ll use another one of these this summer, when I think it’ll be more of a 92 point experience.

Saturday night’s favorite scented mask was the LuLuLun Premium Amaou Strawberry Mask. They currently make 2 strawberry masks; this is the one I already know and love.

My 3rd unopened pack, waiting for me to finish pack number 2.My 3rd unopened pack, waiting for me to finish pack number 2.

Notes:

Spoiler

Claims: Brightens, plumps, and moisturizes skin. Improves elasticity and sheen.

Ingredients: There are 2 ceramides listed higher than strawberry extract, plus seaweed extract, the humectant polyquaternium-51, and a fermented form of sodium hyaluronate. With all those ingredients, this should be one heckin’ moisturizing mask.

Spoiler
Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, Polyquaternium-51, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Dihydroxypropyl Agrinine HCL, Ceramide AP, Ceramide NP, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Sargassum Horneri Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Methlyethanol, Fragrance, Butylene Glycol

Performance: The soft semi-stretchy sheet fits like other LuLuLun sheets, requiring the same amount of cutting. The clear serum smells like strawberry gummy bears and, while the mask is on my face, feels like it doesn’t skimp on the ceramides. I wore the mask for just 20 minutes this night. For the last 2-3 minutes, I gently pressed my face (over the mask) with my palms. After removing the sheet, I needed just 30 seconds to massage and press the remaining serum into my skin. I had no tackiness or pulling afterward.

Results: My face was well hydrated, very moisturized, baby soft, moderately dewy, and quite bright. My skin’s a huge fan of this mask. It’s a lush 94 point Sauternes whose score isn’t higher only because of the eye/mouth hole situation. I’m on my second pouch of this mask and I’m strongly considering buying a pack of 35 while they’re on sale, rather than keep buying one 7-sheet pouch at a time.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ooo this reminds me and I need your expert opinion @WinglessOne - any thoughts on The INKEY List Peptide Moisturizer 1.7 oz/ 50 mL? I love some peptides and this is such a good price point.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica  I almost bought a jar to try myself and, at that price point, I still might. The only things stopping me:

1. Outside of winter, I can’t routinely use moisturizers that contain lots of shea butter. I love shea butter for cold weather moisturization. But once temps heat up, it’s too heavy for even my dry zones. This is why I‘ll probably stop using my gratis tube of Algenist Genius Collagen Calming Relief in a few weeks: I love it, but it’s definitely a seasonal product for me. I think this moisturizer would also be seasonal. I wish it’d been released in January or December.

2. I wish the two peptides were listed higher on the ingredients list. One of the peptides, pentapeptide-48, is trademarked as “RoyalEpigen P5” in combination with shea butter and a few of the other ingredients. (When I saw it called out on Sephora’s product page, I thought “what the heck is THAT,” so I looked it up.) So maybe that peptide’s low on the list out of formulaic necessity. 🤷‍♀️ But still!

If you try it, let me know what you think of it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I'm thinking I just might @WinglessOne. I never have a need for a heavy moisturizer with fairly normal skin and living in Florida. But I have used heavier ones at night and haven't had bad results..yet. Though I dont tend to seek them out. I guess I'll see how it goes. Thanks for the info!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!
