Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I noticed that ice cream that was not on sale at the supermarket has not been hoarded @Anastasiya13. Unless I really need something, I will not go to the supermarket at this time.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Loretta55  Thats good and smart. I think people dont even know what to get grab from the markets. When I went this past week to grab some necessities for my grandpa and mom, there was ice cream but there was a lot of empty spaces too. I dont think people even really know what to get, its more of a panic mode type of shopping.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Anastasiya13  My most favorite banana mask hasn't been in stock anywhere for a long time, but my other two favorites are A'pieu Banana Milk One Pack and A'pieu Sweet Banana Sheet Mask (also called Banana & Honey Sheet Mask)

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I may need to use that banana sheet mask you sent me this week, @Shosh85! 🍌

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Have you used that one before, @itsfi?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

No, I’ve only used the banana milk sheet mask, not the other banana one @Shosh85. It looks bananalicious. 😊 I have a banana lip balm somewhere but I’m not sure I can find it. May have to try the mask without a full banana theme. 🍌

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

These are definitely the best IMO, @Anastasiya13! Both are decent performers in addition to smelling heavenly banana-like. @Shosh85

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork  Heavenly banana is right! Glad to hear you agree! 😉🍌

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork  Oooo, now i am even more excited to try them out.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85  Ooo thank you, I need to try them out. I love banana scent, and its so hard to find items with that scent.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Anastasiya13  I love banana scented things too! I should mention, these masks have more of an imitation banana scent, like candy. 😉🍌

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85Ooo thats not too bad. I wish Ulta had them. Is there a specific store you buy them from, or you just google for it?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Anastasiya13  I usually do just Google it, because I never know who's going to have it when I'm ready to repurchase. Some sites I have ordered them from in the past are Amazon, Misshaus, Masksheets and Yesstyle

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85  Oh okay, thank you. I googled them, but was not sure if there was a better store to get them from, thank you. Going to order some this week then.

🐌🍯 Jin Jung Sung with CrediThink Snail Honey Jelly Mask 🐌🍯

Spoiler

The Details: A hydrogel-coated tencel sheet mask saturated in a clear, semi-thick, subtle honey-infused lavender scented, jelly serum consisting of snail mucin; 7 types of hyaluronic acid; niacinamide; extracts of honey, royal jelly and propolis; allantoin; panthenol; lavender oil; glycoproteins; beta glucan; hydrolyzed collagen; and so much more.

What Worked: What didn't work?! This is truly a marvelous mask. 🐌 The serum contains pretty much every ingredient I would want in a sheet mask. All that is missing are ceramides, rose water and extracts of rose and peach.  Even the fit was good for my face - the only thing I might nit pick over is that it's maybe an 1/8" too long, but that’s nothing. Seriously, this mask checks off all the boxes.

Areas for Improvement: Ummm... is the actual serum for sale? If not, then that would be my area for improvement - bottle the serum and make it available for purchase. Not even joking, folks. Except for maybe the slightly tacky to the touch feeling, this one's near perfect. I personally don't mind the tack but know that not everyone feels the same way.

Will I Repurchase?: Yes. I *may* have already purchased a box. 😬 🛍  What “sheet mask no buy”?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank you so much for this mask, @Shosh85; 🤗 this one is definitely worth having around at all times. ♥️

My Two Cents: It's amazing. 🙌🏼 It's Shosh85-approved, so that goes a long way in my book. Dehydrated, dry and very dry skin will love this mask pretty much all year round. All other skin types could be very happy with this one in the colder months, but those who are sensitive to lavender oil, honey, niacinaimde or hyaluronic acid will want to pass. Also to note, this is a cruelty free product though not vegan as it contains, among other things, extracts of honey, royal jelly and propolis.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  If this didn’t contain lavender oil, I’d track it down and order one to try. I looked up the ingredients and lavender oil’s fairly high on the list... sigh. I saw cinnamon bark in the list, too. Hmm... If those 2 perfuming essential oils weren’t there, this would be a great mask (for me) to try! I’m glad you had a great experience with it!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh no! I’m bummed the ingredients in this one wouldn’t work for you @WinglessOne, BUT I am glad you know those essential oils don’t play well with your skin and to pass on this mask. It’s so important to know how your skin will react to certain ingredients. It’s just challenging that skincare involves some trial and error. I’ve definitely learned the hard way what my skin does not like. 😢

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi Very true! Though in my case with lavender oil, it wasn’t trial and error so much as decades of using products containing it and one day my skin finally visibly flipping the bleep out over it. I did spend time reducing skincare products in my routine to narrow down the likely culprits before getting help from a dermatologist.

Some essential oils don’t cause immediate bad reactions. They can do unseen damage over long stretches of time (with frequent use), until the day your skin can’t hide the damage anymore. For me, that finally happened in my mid 40s, and it’s the reason I stopped using Origins products (except their charcoal mask, which contains no bad stuff) as recently as last year. It took me a while to wean myself off my former Origins cleanser, but that’s one of the best changes I’ve ever made for my skin. Other things have involved much more trial and error, like my honey situation; I was so bummed to discover what honey does to my particular skin when used too frequently. At least I don’t have a true honey allergy, like I do with benzoyl peroxide; I learned that the very hard way in my teens. 😞

Anyway, I try to avoid applying most perfuming essential oils to my face, neck, and chest. There’s one product my skin loves that contains lavender oil (listed near the end of the ingredients, but still); my current derm said of it, “so... you know you’re playing with fire, right? You’re not using this several times a week, or even once every week... RIGHT?” 😄 Because it’s just a matter of time before my skin throws a tantrum over that ingredient. Sigh.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh no!! I feel enabling heading my way @itsfi @Shosh85

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  Well, I did give this one to you in Unicorn Mail.......

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

😂🤣😂 @Shosh85 @lmaster another sign of when you have too many masks!
