Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@averylayne  That's awesome you and your husband mask together and was willing to try this! Love his Luna oil comment! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†

These can be pretty tricky, because it's a race against time. You have to mix it super fast so you have time to make it smooth and get it on your face quick before it sets up. I definitely don't do these too often, partly because of the mess and the time it takes, but also because the whole mixing and getting it on your face in time kinda makes me anxious sometimes. Haha! ๐Ÿ˜‚ It definitely have the fun factor going for it though! Glad this was a good experience for you and that you could share it with your hubby! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Shosh85 I agree, there's definitely a little bit of anxiety that comes with the mixing and applying ๐Ÿ˜… My hubs doesn't need much convincing, I'm pretty sure he secretly enjoys using my products lol

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Dillydelight is egg-cellent!

Dillydelight; decided not to open the Trader Joeโ€™s mask just yet.Dillydelight; decided not to open the Trader Joeโ€™s mask just yet.

Spoiler

This little gem found its way into my hands last year from @heartsmyface. I honestly thought I would never use it; the packaging is way too cute. BUT the prospect of a teeny tiny spatula hiding in the package got the best of me.

The Dillydelight Real Egging Pack is a sleeping mask, and my experience has been that most are somewhat tacky. So I was going in with some expectations here. Opening the first compartment revealed-nothing! I thought for a minute it had been some biodegradable spoon and dissolved because I waited too long to try it. I checked the expiration date; thatโ€™s not it, it doesnโ€™t expire for another year. I looked at the packaging and realized the punch-out is the spatula. Ha! Time to get to business.

My little helper first decided we needed a proper translation, to make sure the ingredient list was ok. Korean didnโ€™t work, so I told her to try Japanese.

Is this the right one?Is this the right one?

Sea urchin? Not sure how I feel about the rest of that second translation ๐Ÿ˜† After a good laugh, she mixed the โ€˜yolkโ€™ into the whites (there is real egg white). The result was a water-gel/cream blend, with a pleasant but almost unnoticeable scent. I applied it to my skin and it went on smoothly, with a matte-like finish. This has a very unique texture, and I loved it. I decanted the remainder (this might last me a few days; I used it again tonight) into a little jar and set it inside my mini fridge. Before mixingBefore mixing

What an absolute delight this mask is, thank you so much hearts๐Ÿ’•!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Wow this mask is intriguing! Love the visuals @eshoe!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Glad you enjoyed them, @ShortErica @it was such a fun mask and the visual appeal is ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  @heartsmyface  This may be one of the cutest masks I have ever seen! It looks like so much fun, and I love all the photos included!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@PrettyPaint isnโ€™t it adorable? Iโ€™ve had it a few months, set it out to try multiple times and put it back because itโ€™s just so satisfying to look at ๐Ÿ˜„ I will just have to find more, glad I finally decided to go for it.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

If you find a good place to purchase them online, would you mind letting me know? @eshoe. It's just too adorable to resist ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@PrettyPaint @eshoe  I've looked for these before, and the only places I found it was Amazon, eBay, and a site called BBcosmetic.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thanks so much @Shosh85

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Iโ€™ve ordered from BBCosmetic before @Shosh85 @PrettyPaint, they had pretty fast shipping from what I remember and included a few foil samples inc. some DHC ones. Itโ€™s been at least a year but I would order from them again!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Thanks @eshoe. I hadn't heard of bbcosmetic before, so it's good to know they are legit! ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  Good to know! I am always a little hesitant when buying from a site I've never purchased from before. ๐Ÿ‘

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

That being said, @Shosh85 I hadnโ€™t been on the site in awhile (I bought my Yadah foaming cleanser oh, at least a year ago). Iโ€™m a little less inclined to order from a lot of smaller/less known companies online now, but I had no issues:)

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

I will, @PrettyPaint! When I did my first look online I saw Ipsy carries (-ied?) them, but I donโ€™t have that sub. Idk if you can buy from them without being a subscriber, but I am going to find out and will let you know๐Ÿ˜Š

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  I think you can buy from them without being a subscriber, but I think current subscribers get a discounted price. That being said, it looks like they no longer have it available for purchase anymore even though it still pops up on their site. Sounds like we have other options, though ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Ugh so close @PrettyPaint! I looked on BBCosmetics again, looks like you can buy a multi set. I havenโ€™t purchased anything from them in a year or so and I am *trying* to maintain a low buy so for now will hold off. They show stock availability which is nice, so I will keep checking and if it gets too low I might just go ahead and order a couple. It makes me a little nervous that the translation on their site is kinda iffy๐Ÿง

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  Thanks for the update! Sounds like a good plan to monitor ๐Ÿ™‚  Ugh - I totally need to go on a low buy. I'm bad about stress shopping.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

The eggpack looks fun @eshoe. Good researching skills by your little helper (hi!)

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Awww you made her night @itsfi! She beamed a smile back๐Ÿ˜Š

It was fun and educational, the translate app definitely needs some work though, ha!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe that chicken egg mask looks like so much fun. Sea urchin makes me think of sushi not a mask.
