Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Kim888 thank you! I'll have to pick up a mini one then for sure! Although, also trying to use all of my masks, so that's always a dilemma.

It's not that the REN didn't work, necessarily, just wasn't my favorite.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Slightly on the topic of masks that make me hungry is forgetting to eat lunch and to arrive at my much anticipated restaurant choice for restaurant week to find out they didn't cap reservations.  I ended up cancelling after it took over 1/2 hour to make my way up to the host station to find out the wait was going to be anywhere from 35 minutes to an hour (possibly more based on how people were crammed into the bar/entry area like sardines).  Shake Shack was a new experience but not the one I wanted and left me hungry.  So on that note, I used the Herbivore Prism AHA + BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial 1.7 oz/ 50 mL again.  I like that it glides on smoothly and a little goes a long way.  After it soaked in, I layered a mix Drunk Elephant Lala Retroโ„ข Nourishing Whipped Refillable Moisturizer 1.69 oz/ 50 mL and BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil.  It soaked in quickly and I topped it off with Drunk Elephant F-Balmโ„ข Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask 1.69 oz/ 50 mL.

If you lovelies recall, both Herbivore Prism 2.0 and DE F-Balm were new to me the last time I posted.  In the time that has followed I used DE F-Balm over a moisturizer on several occasions with good success.  It definitely feels hydrating but I'm not certain yet if there is any other skin calming benefit from it yet.  I've used Prism a few times and I think due to skin irritation from occasional random hives/flushing on my cheeks and nose that also leads to dryness it does irritate my skin slightly in those areas.  It feels a little prickly if that makes sense but I think once there is more humidity in the area that will go away.  So since my first review I've grown to like the products more.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Wow! I love how you used all these products @MCSSavvy

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Anonymous  -- Thank you!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Shake Shack sounds familiar @MCSSavv, though I havenโ€™t been there...think I read about it somewhere ๐Ÿค”

Do you think you will pick up a FS of the Prism? Iโ€™m very interested in it but concerned about adding yet another acid to my routine.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@eshoe  - Apparently, Shake Shack is branded as "fast casual" food chain.  Personally, I just thought it was an overpriced burger joint.  That said, I rarely crave a burger and lean toward healthier options such as salads, portion control size burrito bowls, soup, etc. if I eat out.  Anyway...

I did actually pick up a full-size Prism.  Since I still have a sample left, I'm finishing it up.  The winter is taking a toll with the dry air and so right now I'm only using it once or twice a week.  It really has grown on me and I like the texture of the serum, lack of any real discernible scent and being able to layer it with other products.  I did look briefly at the Prism mask that Herbivore just launched.  It is thicker and has 20 % and 5% BHA vs the serum which is 12 % and 3 %.  I don't think my uber sensitive skin and the mask would be a great fit.  I know I struggle when I think about adding a new acid into my routine.  I really wanted to try the lactic acid mask from BIossance but when I was able to test a small amount on my hand in the store - oh, good lord the smell. Prism 2.0 replaced TLC Framboos in my routine.  The acid components are slightly different and I like the use of willow bark in Prism because it is a natural anti-inflammatory.  So I definitely think you might benefit by giving it a try before deciding if you want to add it to your routine.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Hmmm yeah the mask sounds pretty potent @MCSSavvy. I just feel like itโ€™s too easy to apply too many acids and destroy the mantle, like I did. There are acids in so many products now...toners, serums, masks, sleeping masks - it is slightly overwhelming, for me anyway.

I am just going to camp out for the time being in hydration station๐Ÿ˜†

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Love how you layered these! @MCSSavvy

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@lmaster - Thanks!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@MCSSavvy  Sounds like a great line up of products! I still haven't tried the F-balm, but it's sounding promising! Glad to hear you're liking them a little more now ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Shosh85  - Thank you.  I hope you get a chance to give F-balm a try and let us know what you think.  It is continuing to grow on me.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@MCSSavvy thanks for sharing your thoughts on both! I just got the gwp herbivore one so I'm excited to try that!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@Kim888 - I hope you enjoy it!  Let us know what you think.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Iโ€™m multi masking tonight and doing a full pampering session all with products I like and have repurchased.  The first round of masking involves my undereyes and a pore strip while I pre soak my feet for my foot peel.
i love thรฉ skyn Iceland undereye patches.  I have a fondness for sticker type masks cause they allow me to move around.   The pore strips work well enough.  I never get much out of my nose (itโ€™s waaaaaay more satisfying to do the men in this house), but it always feels good to get what little I can out of my pores.  I do prefer the menโ€™s biore pore strips but these are cute and pink.
the Etude house laugh lines patches I donโ€™t use for laugh lines but for winter dryness. E9BDF0ED-7691-4862-BA35-E26EF18DC7B8.jpeg

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Amazing multi-masking session @heartsmyface!  I have a pack of the Skyn Iceland eye patches that were gifted to me but I haven't gotten around to trying yet.  I think I may need to bust those out soon.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Definitely a great multi masking pampering session! @heartsmyface your deserve it!!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

Omg! Yes, @heartsmyface, eye and nose and hands and feet masks, oh my!! Those skyn eye masks are one of my holy grails. They're so good!! That foot peel also looks intriguing!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@heartsmyface I've been very interested in those Skin Iceland eye patches.  How do you like them?

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@averylayne   I love them!  I would give them an A for sure.  The serum melts into you skin as the patches warm up.  Theyโ€™re stickers so they stay on.  My under eyes feel nice an plump after taking them off.  The only thing that would make them better is if they had oil in them but I just apply a drop of out to my undereyes afterwards to seal all the goodness in.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge

@heartsmyface  Good to know! Ulta just had them for 50% off yesterday as part of their beauty steals sale!  I'll have to keep my eye out for them next time they go on sale.
