NEW!!! Got an idea for next year's challenge? Let me know! Was there a challenge you'd rather not repeat? Share below, so we can start building the 2021 schedule:
Thanks @lmaster! 🙂 I plan on trying these again, but taking @heartsmyface advice to apply an astringent beforehand.
@itsfi Ahh, this answers my question. The acne and scar patches I got were by acropass. Again $17-20 a pop. But if they work then totally worth it.
I wonder if they’d stick better if you first applied an astringent to your skin. Might be worth trying out
Ooh, good tip with the astringent @heartsmyface! Will give that a try this weekend. Thank you! 🤗
Okay, home from my trip and now I can finally try out these micro needle eye patches without worrying about adverse effects. Apparently this is how to get products and ingredients to penetrate the epidermal layer so they’re more effective or effective at all- very fine needles. I am actually a little scared. It says to wear them 2hrs minimum but overnight for optimal results. This is giving me anxiety. I think I’ll use an alcohol swab under my eyes just to make sure I don’t get any infections. If we’re putting holes in my skin I want to be extra cautious.
Update- Omg it’s prickly and it says to lightly pat it into my skin!!? Okay I did one eye. There’s a slight prickling sensation but no real pain except for one little spot. Deep breaths! Not so bad. 🥴. Okay second eye done. They’re stuck on quite nicely so i’m not too worried about them moving. Now I try to sleep with stiff stickers on my eyes.
This is way braver than gross ingredients @heartsmyface - very interesting!
Oh these sound so intriguing @heartsmyface. Thank you for the close up! I am going to look these up as well. I’ve had acupuncture and it was totally anxiety provoking, but have also used a mat with spikes that you lay on. Doesn’t poke through the skin but brings blood to the surface. That is relaxing. Now to go hunt these down, so cool!
@eshoe @After trying them they’re really not scary. I had myself all hyped up for nothing. I cant wait to hear what other people think of them! I think you’re going to like them a lot! Calling it!
Going on my Christmas wish list @heartsmyface, and I’m guessing you called it, too;)
Okay. This was super interesting to read about @heartsmyface . I think I'd have had the same anxiety over trying these as you did. I'm glad to hear they worked so well, and am curious if you're going to save them for a special occasion, or try them twice a week to see if you get some longer lasting results?
@missjeanie I’m going to do them every third night and see if I notice any difference in the next little while. I believe micro needling is supposed to give delayed results but maybe that’s only for deeper needling?
Update- upon taking the undereye masks off my undereyes were super plump. Like obviously plumper than the rest of my skin. They’ve settled down somewhat. These would be great to pull out the day before an event cause my undereye wrinkles, although mild, are gone. They get an A+ for the first impression.
These are meant to be used 1-2 times a week. I wonder if the results get better over time
@heartsmyface Oooh, these sound awesome! I'll definitely have to look for them! I'd be interested to know how much a difference regular usage would make! 😃
wow that sounds amazing @heartsmyface ! Where did you buy them from - I see they are on amazon but I never know whether that's truthworthy haha
@Kim888 I bought these ones at Yodabashi Camera in Japan but I’m glad to hear they’re on Amazon cause I may want more. The problem
with Amazon is finding a trustworthy seller who’s not going to sell expired goods. Investors had a couple instances where I’ve ordered items that were long expired based off the manufacture date. Because it’s amazon it’s easy to return things but just a little bit of a pain.
interesting @heartsmyface - definitely curious about the results!!! this kind of reminds me of the peace out dark spot patches!
@Kim888 I’m tempted to take them off now but it’s only been three hours and I assume they mean eight hours when they say overnight.
Yaaay, you're home @heartsmyface!! 🙂 These sound interesting! I tried some similar patches geared toward acne earlier this week but couldn't get them to stick. I like that yours has hyaluronic acid in it but microneedling the undereye area makes me nervous too. Will be interested to hear how things turned out in the morning and if these are something you'd use again.
@itsfi Oh yes, I picked up some acropass ones aimed at healing acne and other ones aimed at fading scars and sunspots. I don’t get acne often so I was excited to be able to try these ones right away.
Aw too bad they weren’t sticking for you. Which ones did you try? These ones stick very well to the point i’m nervous about removing them and pulling my eye area.
I haven’t done much sleeping cause ‘ jet lagged but as a result I have all my brushes cleaned! Victory!
I bought a pack of 4 sets for $80 which is steeper than I normally go so I am determined to use them to see what kind of results they produce.
@heartsmyface These sound very interesting and a bit frightening.
@fatimamummy They were indeed intimidating. I’ve been putting around in them for a couple hours now and have had no problems so far. I actually forgot I was wearing them for a bit.
