Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. 

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni

S is for Silk

I went with Masque*ology Under Eye Gold Gel Mask Friday morning to give some extra oomph to my under eye area. These gel masks were a gift from the marvelous @missjeanie! 🙂 These gels felt nice and cooling on my skin. I felt a subtle tingle, which I attributed to the niacinamide in the mask. Directions suggest leaving these on for 10 minutes but I probably had them on for 15-20 minutes. These seem a smidge larger all around compared to the eye gel patches I have been using. Regardless, they fit fine and adhere well. I noticed a slight brightening at the undereye area; I looked more awake and alert, never a bad thing. I wasn’t experiencing any puffiness so I can’t say how these worked for reducing puffy eyes.

My Friday PM masking involved the Night No Sheet, It’s Silk Golden Silk Sheet Mask. This one is noise, very noise. 😉 It’s a soft, silky sheet mask that is covered without being drenched or dripping in a light but slightly viscous milky cream serum; the consistency reminds me of a cross between an emulsion and light hand cream. It adhered well and wore very comfortably. As for fit, I snipped off a little less than an inch from the chin/jawline area and some slight adjustments to the inner corner of the eyes and the outer corner of the mouths. I kept the mask on for about an half hour and when I removed it, I noticed that for the most part, my skin drank up the goodness from the mask and felt soft, smooth and nourished. The only part of my face that had a lot more excess essence was my forehead which is very common; it’s generally the most oily part of my face so it doesn’t slurp up the essence from a sheet mask as quickly nor does it need as much. This was a lovely treat for my skin and a repurchase once I get through the other 4 of these I have (and provided that Costco restocks them).  These will come in handy this winter.

@itsfi  The names of those sheet masks crack me up! 😂 Have you tried the, "This Sheet is Bananas" one? I keep hearing good things about that one too 😉 This is another line of masks I really need to try sometime 😃

So fun, right @Shosh85?!!! Yes, I have tried that B-A-N-A-N-A-S mask! Last year, I think; and maybe again earlier this year. I have the Gwen Stefani song in my head for weeks after I use that one. 🙂 Love when the brand comes up with clever mask names. Makes it even more fun.

Haha! 😆 Yes @missjeanie!!! The name was part of the draw for me! 😂 The mask material is natural silk. I just saw that Costco restocked so it’s in my cart. I’ll set one aside to send your way. It feels very nice in and would be lovely with the very cold winters you experience.

L'HERBOFLORE Strawberry Glowing Hydromask

This is a thin and transparent cotton sheet mask that was saturated with plenty of serum and had an imitation strawberry kind of scent- sorta reminded me of kids shampoo or body wash - (which I didn't mind at all, but I know some don't like that artificial kind of smell so I thought I'd mention it 😉) The scent was light and wasn't very noticeable while the mask was on. The fit was great - just a teensy bit to long at the jawline and the space between the eyes was a little too wide. It had great adherence and comfortability the half hour I had it on. When I removed it there was only the slightest bit of tack leftover but it went away within minutes. My face looked noticeably brighter and my skin felt so soft and smooth. My face did feel a little dry, but nothing that had me running to put on the moisturizer.

I'm happy I was able to find box of this one at TJ Maxx, because I'll definitely have no problem using it up.😃👍
