Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I loved how it was a peel off clay mask!! Genius absolutely genius @Shosh85 😆

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster  well this sounds like a very interesting mask. Love your description of it but even more love your results.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster I’m both superb intrigued and a bit scared by the “pore strip for the whole face” descriptor. 😃

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi its another unique experience, it really pulled those pores 🤣

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

OH i've never tried a mask like this before! Thank you for your review! I'll have to keep an eye out for this one. I love the phrase, "pore strip mask, but for your whole face" haha @lmaster

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yep it looked like a nose strip after I peeled it off too 😆 @scott1201

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Youve really peaked my interest here @lmaster ! I’m kinda digging the lore strip for your face idea lol.  Where did you pick this one up?

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie facetory!! It's very interesting! If you get clogged pores on your cheeks like I do 🙄 this is a savior

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I'm going to be off-challenge all week but also trying new masks so... forgive me? 🙂

Spoiler
The material of this mask was a very thick cotton. When I first pulled it out of the packaging I did not have high hopes. Normally, thick cotton masks don't adhere well and seem to dry up without hydrating my skin. However! This one somehow stuck right to my face (without the mask holder) and the serum was a thick, white, serum. There was literally none left in the package so I guess the mask had soaked it all up. It felt great when it put it on! Super cooling, almost in a tingly way but not tingle like acid, but tingle like it was just really cold. It was bone dry after about half an hour. Would use again!

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

The cooling effect sounds very interesting on this one @scott1201!

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@scott1201  This one sounds great - especially that cooling effect! I have a different mask by this brand and I'm hoping it turns out just as nice! 😃

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@scott1201  it's always nice when a mask works out better than expected. Sounds like you enjoyed this one plenty.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thicker masks can be a great ‘comforting’ feeling to me if they adhere well.  Glad this one worked out so well @scott1201 !

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

7 days of masks:

Spoiler
Monday- tried and true Amorepacific enzyme peeling Masque
Tuesday- Origins Hello Calm- nice, soft, calm.
Wednesday- dr. Brandt Hydro biotic recovery sleeping mask- aww yeah
Thursday- Origins Drink Up intensive- delicious smelling, hydration
Friday- Boscia pore pudding- deep clean and soft. I was worried about the clay portion of this mask, but it was lovely.
Saturday- innisfree jeju lava seawater cream mask- smells like I'd imagine lava seawater to smell like.
Sunday- Farmacy Honey Potion mask.  Warm, moisturizing.

My skin liked all of these, and the Saturday comment to me was: how do you look so refreshed?
Me: it's the makeup.
Inner me: and the skincare.
My skin glowed all week.

Also I made myself a face care schedule, and although many days I forgot things, I think the consistency of the bigger items helped.

Question: does anyone pair wash off or leave on masks regularly with their whole regular skincare routine as well as sheet masks on top of it?  I had sheet masks on my list to do on top of everything else, and by the end of each routine I wondered if it was just too much and I didn't do them.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

A lovely masking line up, @l8totheparty! To answer your question about pairing, like several people below mentioned, if I do a pore-care wash-off mask (clay or mud, or something with exfoliating ingredients) then I'll usually follow it with a hydrating sheet mask later in my routine. If I'm using a hydrating wash-off mask (Fresh's Rose mask, for example) then I'll skip the sheet mask. Sleep masks get added depending on how dry or dehydrated my skin is feeling.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@l8totheparty  Such a fantastic line up of masks! I've tried all but the Innisfree and have really liked them all as well! Glad these worked out so great for you!

I really just go with what my skin feels like it needs. When I do pair masks, it's not always a wash off with a sheet mask, though I'd like that combo - for me the first mask is an exfoliating/cleansing type and the second is a hydrating/soothing type.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Wow, so many great masks. I like using a clay, leave in mask like the ORIGINS - Clear Improvement® Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores to deep clean my pores and then follow up with a hydrating sheet mask afterwards like the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Sheet Mask 1 x 0.68 oz/ 20 mL. <333

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@l8totheparty  what a great week of masking. Since I mask mainly at night on the weekdays, it depends on how much time and energy I have. Also depends on how dry my face is as well. However, when I do a wash off mask, especially if its an exfoliating or clay mask, I follow up with a hydrating sheet mask. Occasionally i'll add an overnight mask to all that. Sometimes when I only use a sheet mask, i'll use an overnight mask as well depending on the dryness but when I'm really short on time it's just use an overnight mask. 🙂

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

What a beautiful group of masks here @l8totheparty! 💗💕 I occasionally mask with a wash off, leave on and sheet mask and it’s typically an exfoliating / decongesting mask followed by a hydrating sheet mask and finally a sleeping mask.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@l8totheparty , Im with @lmaster ! I regularly shower at night so I’ll do a wash off Or a scrub, have a shower where I rinse, then do a sheet mask, then finish my night time routine, then top off with a sleeping mask. I don’t do this daily, I’m just too lazy/busy, but it does happen! I think my drier skin enjoys the extra bump in moisture.

I definitely pair wash offs with sheet masks @l8tothepart...

I definitely pair wash offs with sheet masks @l8totheparty, I have not used a sheet mask then a wash off mask, only because I personally don't want to put all the effort in a sheet mask just to wash it off
