Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Weekend masking 🙂

weekend.jpg

Oldie/goodie Tata Harper resurfacing mask. That, sporadic use of DDG peels and the tata regenerating cleanser are the only BHA's my skin is into. I leave it on just until it starts to dry down, any longer is too much for my dry skin.

Volition detox silt gelee mask. First use. I liked that it was like mud but didn't dry hard/dry like most mud masks. I need to use it again to get a feel for effects but I enjoyed it.

Tony Moly master lab vit c- I like this one. It's mild but I appreciate that I can use it and it's not so strong that I disrupt the rest of my skincare routine (retinol, acid etc).

Biobelle peachy- BLEH. The mask was printed and cute but didn't fit great. Smelled good but ended up being irritating. Way too small eye holes, huge upper lip strip, lots of excess at top. Before I had a chance to cut down the eye holes, my eyes were irritated I assume from the fragrance. I cut down the eye holes and was able to leave it on about 5 minutes. I left the serum on when I took it off and it dried sticky. I went to bed an hour after use still rubbing my eyes from the irritation. Can't win them all!

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@CC3616  I agree with you on the BioBelle mask - the fit was definitely awkward and the material wasn't very comfortable. I thought it was cute, smelled good and had nice results, but I wouldn't repurchase. The other tencel material is so much better. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with this one, but I'm happy the others turned out great! 😉

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@CC3616  bummer on the biobelle mask. I think they were used on here as a meet up but I dont remember the overall consensus on them. I think I have one to use. Will keep note on the scent. Thanks for your thoughts.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I like the sound of the volition mask @CC3616 , I’ll have to put it on my to try list!

awwww @CC3616 so sorry to hear the biobelle was irritatin...

awwww @CC3616 so sorry to hear the biobelle was irritating you,,I need to try that volition mask!

RE: Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It’s been awhile since I’ve used that Volition, it is a lovely detox mask @CC3616. Bummer about the Biobelle, the fit is so important especially with cotton masks.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Such a shame about the Biobelle, but at least the others make up for it, @CC3616.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@CC3616, I’ve been looking into some good BHA products to incorporate into my routine more regularly. I have some Tata Harper samples and the DDG peel pads are staples for me so I’ll be sure to give this combo a try as I test out various products.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi BHA has been hard for me being so dry. I use a DDG peel a couple times a month randomly, same with DE baby facial 1-2x month random, the regenerating cleanser 2-4 times a week (very mild, I was using it daily without problems too), and the mask once a week/every couple weeks. I really like the tata products. I tried herbivore blue tansy and it was too much for me but for someone more normal/combo it would be a nice choice.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@CC3616, I’m thinking about getting a sample of the Paula’s Choice BHA to test out. I only use BHA on targeted areas, only where I’m oiliest or breaking out because it is so drying.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi It's been a long time since I've tried any paulas choice, but consistently hear good things about the line.

2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

P is for Persea Gratissima (Avacado) tonymoly nutrition I'm avacado mask sheet. this is a sheet on the thicker side, but was saturated in a milky white watery serum. the scent was very nice, more on the floralish side. the fit on the mask was great, but I did have to squish areas around my cheeks, but it stayed out. not much in terms of extra serum in the package, but the mask was saturated enough, probably could of even squeezed the mask out after using it. wore it for 20 minutes, and massaged the remaining serum into my skin. wow was it hydrating!! my skin soaked it up!! it really felt like my skin was replenished with nutrition and Hydration!! would use this one again in the future!! no tackiness

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster This one sounds so great! 😃 It seems like this line of masks are sorta hit or miss, so I'm happy to hear this one was a hit! 👍

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 this was one of the very first line of masks I tried, and it is still just as good as I remembered 😉

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

This was one of the first sheet masks I used to actually get into masking more regularly last year @lmaster , I’m glad your skin enjoyed it!

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie @GalPalVal17 yep it's an oldie but goodie 🙌💗

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie  same here. Tony Moly was the first sheet mask I used that got me started on the sheet masks love. I was only using wash offs at first but with a little motivation from this group, I quickly developed a love for sheet masks as well. Heart

RE: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Always have ❤️ in my heart for a zero-tack mask, @lmaster! I don’t think I’ve tried this one, the fit on the masks in this line were a little wonky for me🤷🏻‍♀️

yeah that philtrum area is huge!! @eshoe my fit was prett...

yeah that philtrum area is huge!! @eshoe my fit was pretty good, just a bit of extra material that needed squishing 😆

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Sounds like this one a winner for your skin, @lmaster!

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It does have a pretty wide philtrum area, @quspork kinda forgot about that, some might have to snip quite a bit, however, it didn't bother me and hydration from this mask was excellent
