Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Worked well, the Origins always does a nice job of tidying up things @quspork

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe Sounds like a great group of masks! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I love that Origins mask! It's definitely one of my most favorites! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

This Ole Cold Plunge mask....sounds like something I may want to try. How similar are the effects to the BOSCIA - Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment?

@eshoe

@lmaster (tagging you because I know you use the pore pudding)

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I'd say the cold plunge is way more intense @l8totheparty I have not used them close together, but I could almost bet the cold plunge does a better job

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ok, thank you!  Once I get through this (will take me years I'm sure!) Then I'll try the Ole lol

@lmaster

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

No problem @l8totheparty the boscia pudding is a fun mask tho ๐Ÿ˜†

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

O is for Only 1 left!

This was the last Dewpiel mask in my collection.  As mentioned before, I wish there were more.  This thick cream on the large cotton (largest I've ever had!) Mask was lovely. No scent, no tackiness, and soft, bright skin. This is a win!  Would also make a good morning mask, but, like, there's no more.Wonderful!Wonderful!

I'm thankful for good masks ๐Ÿฅฐ

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@l8totheparty, you love these masks!!! Happy that you were able to try them! Sounds wonderful!

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@l8totheparty you make such a good point - good masks make all the other ones worthwhile. I am thankful for them too, and I've learned after a number of discontinued masks not to worry - there are always new ones popping up that surprise us!

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@l8totheparty  So sad, because it sounds wonderful! Love masks with a cream serum!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ Is there really no chance they're just doing repackaging/re-formulation?

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Wouldn't it be nice if they were just repackaging!  I'll have to google search the company every couple months in hopes of coming across the masks again. @Shosh85

@l8totheparty such teasers they are!!

MISSHA Oil Soak Mask

This is a super thin and meshy cotton sheet mask that was saturated with a silky serum that had a light smell of roses. It had a nice fit - just a little too long at the chin. The adherence was good and it was very comfortable to wear the half hour I had it on. The leftover serum absorbed very quickly but left behind some slight tackiness that lasted about 15 minutes. My face looked a little brighter, felt comfortably hydrated and had a nice glow.

I really enjoyed this one and would definitely repurchase.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycereth-26, Glycerin, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Dimethyl Silane, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, PVM/MA Copolymer, Xanthan Gum, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter Fruit, Lecithin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Cyclomethicone, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Hexylene Glycol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Disodium EDTA, Hexanediol, Fragrance

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oil masks are hit and miss for me, which is odd since my skin is both dehydrated and dry/drier in the fall/winter ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ, but this one sounds good. ๐Ÿคฉ The combo of it being a  Missha mask and@Shosh85 approved masks definitely makes it a โ€œmust tryโ€ mask for me. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  I was surprised with this one! It wasn't at what I expected- I totally thought the serum would be more of an oil and the scent would be floral/perfumy, so I'm pretty happy how it turned out ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Despite being a little perfume-y, Missha masks seem overall great @Shosh85. I've enjoyed everyone I've tried! I like how you articulated that your skin 'felt comfortably hydrated.' It's frustrating to have tight-feeling skin after a full masking routine.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe  Both the scent and serum surprised me with this one - totally thought it'd be perfumy, like you mentioned, and also thought the serum would be more oily. I was pleased with how it turned out ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

a rosy scent @Shosh85 sounds divine ๐ŸŒน

a rosy scent @Shosh85 sounds divine ๐ŸŒน

Re: a rosy scent @Shosh85 sounds divine ๐ŸŒน

@lmaster  I always think of you when I do a rose mask ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm not a huge rose fan, but it smelled more like fresh roses and it was light, so I really didn't mind it so much.

Re: 2019 Q4 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Little update on the Hell Pore (I know @quspork liked other products by the same brand). I did do it properly this time!

I applied a thin layer with my hands (it was hard to get a thin layer using a spatula). I left it on for 25 mins (the directions said 15 but it took slightly longer to dry). Same as before, the fragrance is incredibly strong.

I peeled it from the edges inward. It came off in three big pieces. It hurt, I wonโ€™t lie. It peels dead skin and peach fuzz. The peeled pieces were FULL of blackheads and sebaceous filaments. Like way more than I would have thought. My face was a little red from the peeling but it subsided quickly. Aside from the peel, the mask didnโ€™t burn, sting or cause any irritation related to the ingredients. I was happy with the results at that point.

what was most surprising is that I got even better results by following the second instruction: wipe away excess oil and sebum from your face after removing the mask. I have one of those extraction tools, and used the flat edge against the sides of my nose and cheek and WOAH even more stuff came out. Itโ€™s like the mask prepped the skin for additional extraction. For the first time in a while, my nose is completely blackhead free!!

Better than Biore @cianni?!
