Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 That would have been much better. I can't buy these like that lol.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Samtian lol me too

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

The orangey fruity scent sounds yummy @Shosh85! I applaud you for doing these rubber / modeling type masks. I’m convinced that they’ll be the very last masks that I get to as I work through my stash - it’ll be how I know it’s time for a massive sheet mask haul! 😂 Have you tried putting plastic wrap / Saran Wrap over the top of the cup before you apply the creepy-baby-face lid over it to shake it up? That might make it easier to use up all the mask instead of having to scrap it out of the inside of the lid.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  Rubber masks definitely aren't something I like to do a lot 😂 When I'm in the right mood for it they can be fun. Haha! I don't have my more of these, but if I ever do get more I'll have to remember the to try the Saran Wrap! Great idea! 💡😃

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Sounds like the results were pretty good, @Shosh85. I'm such a lazy masker that the ones that require mixing are almost never on my radar, lol.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork  Yeah, these are definitely the type of mask I need to be in the mood for! 😉

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Last night I decided to use The Creme Shop Pink Lemonade face mask.

It states that lemon supports bright, clear skin. I choose to use it because of a massive zit on my chin. I cut off the philtrum  as this area of my face is sensitive to vitamin c. I also cut the eye flaps off.  I also only left it on for about 10 minutes instead of the recommended 20-30 minutes. I topped it off with a dap of drying lotion for the night.

This morning my face did look better and my zit was smaller.  Hoping it continues to calm down. 421F92C0-CEC4-4529-B665-C15E92A3A2ED.jpeg

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yumm pink lemonade @emaisgr8 .

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yaaaaaaay!! Say bye bye zit! @emaisgr8

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ohhh, pink lemonade sounds good right now @emaisgr8! Glad to hear the mask along with the drying lotion helped to calm down the unwelcome face visitor a little.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Pink Lemonade sounds super refreshing, @emaisgr8

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@emaisgr8 ohh I don't think I've seen this one! Sounds like it worked out well for you - thanks for reviewing!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@emaisgr8  This is one Creme Shop mask I still haven't got around to trying yet. It sounds great and I'm happy to hear your skin looked a little calmer this morning! Just curious, do you happen to recall what it smelled like?

that's what exactly I was thinking! @Shosh85 @emaisgr8 🍋...

that's what exactly I was thinking! @Shosh85 @emaisgr8 🍋? but the mask did sound good & useful otherwise

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85  It smelled of artificial lemon to me. I had to put my nose right up to it to smell it. Not enough scent to set a headache off.

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@emaisgr8 I haven't seen this one from TCS before, but it sure sounds lovely.  I was just thinking about pink lemonade yesterday (I have a chapstick from some lovely masker unicorn mail) and it made me add it to my grocery list.  Everything coming up pink lemonade and I'm a fan! Glad the mask helped out this morning!

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thanks @missjeanie

Re: 2020 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Sooooo..... I don't think I've posted on this thread all year.  My bad, I'm gonna try to make up for lost time with today.

Spoiler

I started off with the Snail Hydrogel eye patches this morning when I woke up.  No washing of the face first, just eye patches and my laptop to start work from bed.  It's a new time in our lives, so why not. These were crazy wet from the serum and were slippery little suckers sliding down my face.  Noticeable results? Not really.  Will I keep using them hoping for a miracle? Yes.

Then before lunch I decided to do a sheet mask, had to look up the weekly theme.  I found the Selfie Skin Mask with Hyaluronic Acid in the first spot I looked.  I'll be honest here, I had no real expectations for this mask.  I picked it up on a midnight grocery run at Walmart in the States. Well colour me wrong.  What a lovely little thing.  The sheet sat nicely on my visage and was comfortable to keep on for over a half hour.  No big tackiness after I took it off, though I could kind of feel a bit of a film on my skin.  I went to put on some moisturizer and noticed that my skin did look a bit brighter.  Dang.  Once I had moisturizer on the filmy feeling was gone.

Then I decided before dinner that I would try out the Snail Hydrogel under eye patches again... why not, no make up on my face today and the packaging wasn't put away after this morning so it was right there within arms reach.  This time I kind of scrapped off excess serum on the side of the container as I pulled them out.  Winner winner chicken dinner they didn't slide off!
My next mask was post dessert where I went for a Holika Holika Strawberry Sheet mask.  I've used these a few times.  Good filler mask.  No complaints, but no raves.
While I had the HH mask on, I used the Sarah Happ lip mask.  I was reminded in another thread that I still have this.  I still don't like this.  Super thick weird texture that has zero efficacy. I feel challenged to use it though?
Then for the theme of the week that also includes the letters of the week, the Dr. Jart Water Fuse Hydro Sleep Mask. This isn't a WOW sleep mask for me, it's not even in the top 5 I have open. But there also isn't really anything wrong with it.  I'm just not excited by it. But it's a project pan item and it's good for the warmer months when I don't need to slather massive moisturizer onto my face.
I had fun today doing all the masks, I need to get back into the masking habits again.  I've been doing more wash offs this year, but I've got a suitcase and then some worth of sheet masks to work though!
