Thank you @ather! The masks were good to me. 🙂
Love the Yadah masks you've been sharing @itsfi. The Inkey List sounds like a no-brainer, especially with the price!
Thanks @eshoe! When I looked at my masks for this week, I was surprised that I had so many Y masks. Not complaining at all; I like the variety and diversity. The Inkey List has a polyglutamic acid that is supposed to be even more effective at retaining moisture than hyaluronic acid. I know your skin is going through some changes along with the season, but that might be one you want to check out or get a sample of when the weather gets colder and your skin is more prone to dryness.
Thank you @itsfi I am already re-ordering the HA, I will try this one as well. Appreciate the info ❤️
Good to know about the polyglutamic acid compared to hyaluronic acid @itsfi. Thanks for always teaching me things!
@itsfi I have been meaning to try something from The Inkey. Maybe I will try the Kaolin Clay first! Sounds nice!
It's really gentle @PrettyPaint, especially for kaolin clay. They have so many products that look interesting. If you end up getting it, do let us know what you think.
They are @faeriegirl! The sheet mask was a nice one; would work for those with sensitive skin as well, especially since there's no fragrance or scent.
It's nice to see the kaolin mask is working out well for you, @itsfi . Have you tried anything else from The Inkey List yet?
@quspork, I've just started incorporating the The INKEY List Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL into my routine, and so far, so good. It's supposed to hold 4x more moisture than hyaluronic acid.
Interesting, @itsfi- I don't think I've heard too much about polyglutamic acid before. I hope it works well for you!
@quspork, it’s the first I’ve heard of the ingredient. Since it’s touted for being so hydrating, I had to try it. Lol!
I have an absolutely terrible memory when it comes to this kind of thing, but I know for a fact that I hadn't used this brand before this year so this is my pick for a 2019 discovery.
Beyond Herb Garden Lotus
I picked up a set of these Beyond masks earlier this year from Amazon and I've pretty much enjoyed the ones that I've tried so far. This time I grabbed the lotus version. Lotus is a great skincare ingredient since it's full of antioxidants, is great for nourishing, and can help calm inflammation. This was a thin mask that was well-soaked with serum, but didn't drip. This was one of the better fitting masks for me as I've learned since my first experience with the brand to not disconnect the places where they've put the cuts until it's actually on my face- DUH. Now, it did have a strong floral perfume scent, so for anyone who's sensitive to strong fragrance - beware. The scent didn't end up bothering me too much though and after removal I was left with almost no tackiness and very hydrated skin. For me this is an A- (just for the stronger than necessary scent).
@quspork Thanks for sharing this one! I think I saw it and passed on it. They sell a lot of this brand on naturecollection.com and they have a buy ten get ten on there. It's annoying when a scent is too strong, sometimes I think I'm just not in the mood. Like how I od'd on honey scent after a honey mask obsession last year.
Yes @quspork my 🌹 love affair crashed and burned earlier this year. I don’t mind the scent, but I’m not seeking out masks with them anymore. I say that, and if you look in my little fridge I’ve got at least 3 FS rose-scented masks. All bought this year AFTER I wrote them off😂
I also bought the Jo Malone Red Roses for my birthday...but that’s a fresh petal-scent vs. soapy. That’s what I gave up this year. Soapy roses😉
See, just narrow down the notes of the scent and it's no problem, @eshoe. You can just avoid that very particular strand!
Okay, the package design is just beautiful on this one @quspork . I love hearing about new brands. Will have to peek into this one further!
The pictures on some of these really are pretty, @missjeanie.
Love hearing about people's mask discoveries and I've wondered about this brand and its sheet masks @quspork. I'll have to put this one on my list of ones to possibly explore, though I'm a teensy bit concerned about how strong a scent it has to it. I'm usually okay with fragrance, but prefer them if they're mild and heavier floral scents are the most challenging for me.
