Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

V masking tonight courtesy of @missjeanie:Patchology, Rael Beauty, Pixi & Sara Happ

After a gentle cleansing I slathered on the Pixi Glow Mud Mask that @missjeanie raves about so often. First, the scent - cinnamon? I looked and no such thing, not even cassia. But Ginseng is there. I am beginning to think I need a good Ginseng parfum as the scent is so pleasant to me. This didn’t sting or feel uncomfortable; it felt quite pudding-like for a few minutes then it started to dry. Used my little Sephora eye makeup eraser and it was a piece of cake.

The Sara Happ Passionfruit LE Lip Scrub acts just how I expect a good one to act: rough but leaving a gentle layer of soothing goodness. My Lush is nearing its life expectancy and this will most certainly take over.

The Rael Beauty Vita Bright missjeanie sent is a fairly thin mask drenched in a good amount of serum that left my skin quite happy. The fit was near perfect a huge plus. Not much tack, and the only scent I can recall is a bit peppery, perhaps remaining from the Glow mask. An A and one I would use again.

While I was wearing this, after removing the Sara Happ I wore the Huckleberry Lip Balm. A random purchase in the beautiful state of Montana, it’s a local fruity concoction that gives plenty of conditioning to my skin. 

The Patchology Mood Patch Down Time was my least favorite of the three I’ve tried; it was so slippery it refused to stay in place. No scent, but a good shape and once I placed my sheet mask on top it kind of stayed in place. It has calendula, evening primrose, and lavender. A great mix and great ingredients. Might be a love for someone out there, just not me.

@eshoe I’m so glad you ended up liking the Rael mask! I’ve enjoyed all of theirs that I’ve tried so far, I think I heard they had pimple patches too that I wouldn’t mind checking out!

Pixi is a solid performer for me too. I’ll be curious to see if it’s a good one for you over time!

@missjeanie that scent! I love just about anything spicy/herbal, even medicinal (except bandaids) so it was a very nice surprise. It came in a set with the Glow Cleanser & Tonic, I am going to wait to try the cleanser as I am trying to finish some up. Waaaaaaaay too many cleansers in this house 😄

I don’t think I’ve ever really noticed the scent on it @eshoe , I’ll have to give it a sniff tonight when I get home! Herbal scents are growing on me the last year or two!

@eshoe I spent a bit of time tonight sniffing the pixi mask, even went back to it a bit later, trying to pinpoint the scent.  It smells warm to me, and I want to say it's got a bit of a warm milk vibe to it.  Maybe a 5spice pot de creme type of dessert?  I don't know that I ever really noticed it before but when I took the time to just focus on it, I really like it!

Hmmm...interesting that the Pixi has a ginseng scent to it. I have this mud mask but haven’t opened it up yet - have to get through a few other mud masks first, but I’m looking forward to catching the ginseng in it. That Huckleberry lip balm looks like a great find @eshoe!

You will have to correct me if I'm off on that, @itsfi - it was cinnamon-y, kind of spicy. Not what I was expecting but I loved it! It was in a little set with the Glow Tonic which I was curious about as well. So far, so good.
