Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe
Remove clay/difficult masks in the shower to keep towel clean and removal easy	itsfi/BIC

@missjeanie, a mini set of all of the masks from the brand would be great. I feel like the hydrating hemp one would be ideal for us with dry / dehydrated skin. The watermelon brightening one is so nice for a quick, easy perk up. 😉

Never noticed the Milk mask before. Sounds cool and convenient.

@divaknits, these masks are very convenient. In addition to this watermelon one (brightening), there's a green tea mask stick (detoxifying) and a new hemp one (hydrating). I haven't tried the newest one yet. On my skin, the green tea one works best on my nose and chin area in the warmer months.

@itsfi Love all the watermelon! That Glow Recipe mask definitely is super slippery! It's been a while since I tried it, but I remember neither loving or hating it. Coming out of the fridge would be wonderful!

Im glad you're enjoying the Milk stick! That one is high on my list of future purchases. It sounds like it is perfect for travel! I've forgotten what you said about the scent on this one?

@Shosh85, the Milk watermelon mask sadly doesn’t have a watermelon scent. Not sure if it’s really a scent to this one; there’s something I pick up that is subtle and is probably more from the kaolin clay in it than anything and it dissipates quickly. I don’t really get that though unless I take a deep inhale of the mask stick.

W is for whitening.  This mask is a thicker cotton and drenched in a serum that gives a bubbling sensation for the 10 minute duration.  I was expecting full blown bubbles like most every other bubble mask but nope.  It still feels cool.  The serum is sticky but this mask is meant to be washed off afterwards so I tried to be cool about it . It’s definitely whitening.  Dang.  I may look too pale.  Lol, what’s in this?  I might need to get back to a Sasa and get some more of this one.

@eshoe I use niaciamide everyday and it brightens my skin but I don’t lose my pigmentation. @heartsmyface. Do you know what other ingredients besides grapefruit were in this mask?

@eshoe does it normally take all the Color from your skin for 30 minutes?  That’s what happened.

@heartsmyface @keana1 mentioned this awhile back, and two masks that give me a very visible lightening (When Snow Magic and SNP Fruits Gelato - Grapefruit) both list it as the fourth ingredient.

Maybe you noticed some lightening is because your skin tone might be darker than mine? @eshoe . I’ve never noticed any lightening effects in sheet masks that mention lightening! I’m almost as pale as a ghost 👻 unless I use self-tanner or mix DE D-Bronzi with my daytime moisturizer or use DE Umbra tinted sunblock!
