2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Hello lovely masking mavens! Welcome to the second half of the challenge. Many thanks to the wonderful @Aaliaa for beginning this thread and excited you are here.

To Post:

Spoiler
Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@heartsmyface That's awesome! You are so welcome 😊

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

That is such a great mask - every time I see it I smile.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Wonderful @heartsmyface. So much masking love being shared and you dug right in! 😁

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@heartsmyface, this is such a fun mask and you wear it so well! 🥰 Love masks that focus on moisturizing that part of the face. Even more excited to use mine! 💗

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@heartsmyface ,

I love seeing the bat eye mask!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

i haven’t had a chance to post the last couple days.

The Facetory Glow Baby Glow mask is a two step mask.  The ampoule feels sooooo moisturizing and absorbed quickly and oh my I wish they sold it on its own.  The sheet mask was a nice stretchier cotton and conformed well.  I can t remember the scent if there was one.  All I know is I want to repurchase it cause it was fantastic!  A+3D738E04-73E3-4D5D-B7EA-6359BF59655F.jpeg

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh good grief now I wish I remembered what the ampoule was like, @heartsmyface - this sounds divine!

@heartsmyface another great mask 👍

@heartsmyface another great mask 👍

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I just got 2 of these in my facetory set, happy to hear it's good @heartsmyface

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@heartsmyface This one sounds wonderful and I like the name of it! That's great you liked the ampoule so much! It seems like a lot of the time, the extra steps aren't always so great. It would be so nice if you could find that ampoule sold separately! I'm happy to hear you loved it! 😃👌

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

This one sounds amazing @heartsmyface

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@heartsmyface, ooh, if you’re giving it an A+, it’s got to be good! 🥰 This one keeps going in and out of my bin of masks to use. Looks like it’s going back in! Can’t wait to use it!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi   Oh my gosh I think you’re gonna like it!   Is it the extra step that’s putting you off?  It’s so worth it!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

B is for Bihada Ichizoku 🤷‍♀️ It's the only thing on the package I could even remotely read😂 ....Another pretty mask package from Masks on the Move (and @heartsmyface's stash😉)C10E12CD-C4A6-463B-BE78-C50DA74DBD91.jpeg

Spoiler

Bihada Ichizoko Sheet Mask

This is a white cotton sheet mask that's a bit on the thicker side. It was saturated with serum that had a light, rosy/floral scent that was I thought was pretty pleasant considering I'm not usually a big fan of rosy/floral type scents. The fit on this was kinda bad - it was too wide, too long at the chin/jawline and the bottom half was a little off and didn't quite line up right. It had large slits all around the mask that made it easier to adjust and smooth into place. Due to the fit and thickness, the adherence wasn't the greatest, but was still comfortable enough to wear the 30 minutes I had it on. When I removed it my face was noticeably brighter and clearer. Most of the serum had already absorbed and what was left was only very slightly tacky, and took less than 10 minutes to fully absorb. My skin felt soft and smooth and comfortably hydrated.

This was a great mask and I would definitely use again, but probably wouldn't repurchase (I doubt I'd find this one anyway😉), just because the fit and thickness weren't my favorite and also because I have no idea what the ingredients are.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ahhhh I found this on yes style too, @Shosh85. Sounds like a beautiful mask! The artwork is very pretty, too.

love the packaging @Shosh85 sorry you had a rough run thr...

love the packaging @Shosh85 sorry you had a rough run through with it! but decent results

Re: love the packaging @Shosh85 sorry you had a rough run thr...

@lmaster Actually, everything but the fit was pretty great! A bad fit never deters me away though 😉

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I'm telling you we need some type of app to scan a mask and it tells us all the info on it @Shosh85. It's frustrating not knowing what it says. Use again but not repurchase are sometimes the masks I like trying because then using them lowers my stash while not causing me to buy more. 😂

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica There are apps that do that, but I haven't found any free ones, and I'm not willing to spend money on it.

I actually think I would repurchase, if they were easily accessible- I just wouldn't go through a whole lot of trouble for it. It was a great mask and really, the fit was the only issue I had with it, and that's not really a deal breaker for me 😉

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85, not really easily accessible, but you can find it on yesstyle dot com - if you end up buying from that site, just remember to group items in your order(s) based on availability or estimated ship times (i.e., usually ships in 24 hours vs. 7-14 days vs. 21 days). You can also find the mask on amazon but it's through a third party seller, not through amazon itself (and it's not fulfilled by amazon either).

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi Oooh, thanks for the info - you're so helpful! I'd love to try out more of these! I've taken a screen shot of what you wrote so I can remember it when I finally allow myself to do a mask haul again! 😃👍
