Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

“P” is for nice Pick, @keana1! Clarins, HydroPeptide & The Face Shop

Started out my masking with the HydroPeptide Exfoliating Cleanser. It uses a blend of 10% glycolic acid and jojoba beads to gently exfoliate the skin. I may have enjoyed it a bit more, but the scent immediately made me leery. There was a quick, short-lived punch of something orange/citrus, followed by a lingering rubber-type odor. I left it on a couple of minutes before very carefully rinsing and tossing the DS into my weekly trash. It must have been off, because the other reviews I’ve read are glowing🤷🏻‍♀️. 

On to The Face Shop! @keana1 graciously gifted a number of masks to me, and this is the second Face Shop one I’ve tried. I knew it would be a love when I first opened the package. The scent, like @itsfi already mentioned, is very nice. It’s like ‘sheet mask PLUS’😄 Couldn’t place it, but it was welcomed! The fit was good, a little tear around the eye area (love when the material allows me to adjust sans scissors) and I was ready to enjoy my mask. I left it on for around 40 minutes, when it finally started to dry down. After removing, my skin was smooth and felt only slightly tacky. This was my favorite of the two I’ve tried (the other was Radiance) and an A for my skin. Thank you again, @keana1 for your generosity!

The essence in this one is so good for drier skin, @Shosh85, it’s really nice! Can’t wait to try more, it’s only the second Face Shop mask I’ve tried and they’ve both been good.

@eshoe  I love that clarins lip balm! I want to buy the full size but I also want to try the new fresh ones ! Not sure which to get!

Yes it is the Clarins @Kim888! I reviewed it the other day so I didn’t here, it is nice, kinda like Laneige but in a tube so easier to apply...sorta since I still need to use my finger🤷🏻‍♀️ I received it in some GWP, can’t recall which one though.

I’m so glad that you’re enjoying them @itsfi @eshoe ! I thought that this line of sheet mask would be great. Before buying them I looked at the ingredients list and the last ingredient is fragrance. We weren’t talking about alcohol in January so I overlooked it, next time I’ll be looking out for this ingredient ! 😉

I haven’t tried any of this series of masks before @eshoe , I was waiting for the right opportunity! It’s getting warmer up here! When I bought the masks it was in January and it was too cold for me to use sheet masks!

I just checked the weather report for your area @eshoe ! It’s 73 degrees, you’re so lucky! It’s 55 here but it’s so windy, it feels like 50 ! For the next 2 weeks, the average temperatures should be around 55 ! 😱 I’m not ready for a cooling face mask, room temperature is fine for now!

55 sounds perfect right now, I much prefer the cooler weather @keana1 😄 Do you want to hold off on any of the other Face Shop masks for the meantime?
