@l8totheparty, too bad these weren't wow's for you. These are two faves of mine, both are the first sleeping masks that I've tried. I also like to use both in the daytime.
Don't get me wrong, I *love* the lip sleeping mask! ❤
I just feel like there could potentially be something better out there when it comes to the water sleeping mask. I have another sample of a different brand to try. Who knows, maybe this will end up being the best of the water masks in my small collection. Time will tell.
Any tips or hints to make it great @itsfi?
Thanks for reviewing these @l8totheparty . I’m always curious about thoughts on this brand. I recently bought the lavender version of the sleeping mask. I haven’t used it yet. Still working on the Glow Recipe sample.
The water mask was fine, but I wasn't wowed by it. I have a small gwp of it that I use every now and then. I can imagine keeping it in the fridge and using it on hot days. @divaknits
W is for watermelon and welcomed refreshment
We're in a heat wave here and with no A/C, it is very warm and the SEPHORA COLLECTION After-Sun Mask - Watermelon Watermelon looked so refreshing. This mask pack comes with 2 masks - one is your traditional bio-cellulose face mask and the other is for the decollete. I had this in my mini fridge and it hit the spot. Cool, refreshing and hydrating. I paired it with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Lip Balm & Scrub - Watermelon. Fit on the face mask was near perfect; I only had to make adjustments to the corners of the eyes. There's probably just enough serum in the pouch to fill a blank sheet mask as well, or to slather the serum on the arms and neck. I kept the mask on for 30 minutes and with it being so warm, the serum in the mask had all but fully absorbed by the time I removed the mask. I'm glad I have more of these because they're going to come in handy this summer. 🙂
Very cool that it has a neck portion as well @itsfi . I just love that the Sephora masks and the lip balms match
@itsfi That certainly sounds like a perfectly refreshing summertime mask! I've seen these before bit never realized there was a mask for the décolleté too! 😃👍 Glad you enjoyed it! 🍉
Glad to hear you like this one, @itsfi! I have one I'm hanging on to for later in the summer after I've actually had to venture outside for a prolonged period in the heat, haha. No A/C though??? You are a better woman that I am!
When the weather changes I may have to check this out @itsfi .
It's a good one to keep around for warmer weather @divaknits. 🙂 If you end up giving it a try, I'd love to hear how it works out for you.
@divaknits @itsfi The odd thing about this mask is that, even though it’s two pieces, it’s actually less expensive than a regular Sephora sheet mask (at least on the Sephora Canada site). I ended up buying a few during the VIB sale. Can’t wait to try them out when I’m feeling overexposed this summer! 🍉 😎 🍉
I hadn't even noticed that before you mentioned it @PinkEvergreen; thanks! Put it in the fridge beforehand for added coolness on the skin.
@PinkEvergreen @itsfi I've added this mask to my list of masks to buy when I put an order in again. And so it begins. The growing of the mask empire.
@l8totheparty Sephora provided my gateway masks (Sephora Collection and Saturday Skin), which got me into sheet masks in the first place. My true mask empire began developing as soon as I discovered that Amazon sold Korean sheet masks for great prices. After that, I transitioned into a mask kingdom after discovering Chuusi Canada and Chuusi International. There’s no turning back lol 😂
I have never shopped from Chuusi before... what masks would you recommend ? Question is open to anyone who has purchased masks from there! Am always dying to test out new sheetmasks !
@m3rc3d3s When I started my masking odyssey, I decided to just buy every single mask under CAD$2.00 on Chuusi and see where that took me. (I came away with a heap of great options!) I recognized all the brands from people posting about them here so I was pretty sure they were going to be awesome — and they were 😊 (I loved everything except the argan oil and shea masks, because my skin is quite acne-prone and they proved too heavy for me.)
My next orders included masks up to CAD$4.00 each, and there was plenty more success. Now I just order a mix of all my favourites from every price range.
I prefer ordering from Chuusi Canada because there’s zero risk of duties and the shipping is super fast (usually 2 business days). However, I’ve also ordered from their international site (which ships from Taiwan), because they have triple the amount of mask inventory, and I have not had to pay any duties. I’m careful to order exactly $50 worth to both qualify for free shipping and not go over Canada’s duty-free limit. I’ve ordered three times and have had zero issues. Plus, the company offers to cover duties if you get charged.
I know this probably seems like way too much information for the Americans here, but we Canadians have it rough when we try to keep up with all the awesome products you have access to 😂 We’re constantly having to deal with high shipping costs, low exchange rates, and duties. It takes the fun out of purchases when we end up paying 50%+ more for the same products. It’s nice when little companies like Chuusi pop up and give us better/cheaper access to popular products so we can play along without having to mortgage a kidney 😆
@m3rc3d3s I was just glancing through their offerings and really, you're not going to go wrong with any of them! Personally, I love Etude House, Lovemore, Papa Recipe, Innisfree, and Medheal, but they carry a lot of popular brands.
