@itsfi I've learned not to get my hopes up, but it sure would've been nice to smell something sweet! It wasn't a bad smell, and not very noticeable, just kinda "meh" 🤷♀️ Everything else was pretty good, so I can't complain too much😉
@Shosh85this looks like it has so many yummy things in it I can't believe there isn't a nice fruity scent... great packaging!
@missjeanie Right? With the fruity ingredients and the yummy looking packaging, I was really hoping for some kind of sweet smell! I feel like the masks that I most expect to have a certain scent, end up pretty boring – but it definitely could've been worse! 😉
Niacinamide is #2 on the ingredient list..dang! Did you notice this mask helping with redness @Shosh85?
@ShortErica I didn't have any redness to begin with, but it did brighten my face up quite a bit! 👍
Lucky you @Shosh85. My chin and nose tend to have some redness. Though in the scheme of skin issues, not too bad.
Missed opportunity on the scent, but glad the mask itself sounds like it was a good one, @Shosh85!
@quspork It would've been the perfect A+ mask if it had a strawberry scent. The packaging gets your hopes up and makes it look so delicious. Haha! 😂 🍓🍦

Last night’s masking routine consisted of a couple of products that work well for me (AMOREPACIFIC - Treatment Enzyme Peel and Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner, one I’m trying to finish up (Sara Happ Lip Scrub – and, after this morning, it’s all used up – YES! The brand and product I love, this flavor not so much), and two new items – the Sexyhair Love Oil Moisturizing Oil (thank you @Indy701) and the Lapcos Skin First Oil Wrap Mask 8 Flower Nectar. This Lapcos sheet mask was in a previous Facetory subscription box and I was also gifted one by @eshoe (thank you!). It fits this week’s flower theme. The hair oil also fits into this week’s flower theme, as it contains mimosa flower oil. It’s a thicker, but not too thick, oil that has a subtle citrus-y scent to it. Because my hair leans more fine, I use the oil primarily on the lower half of my hair, running it through as a detangler, and concentrating on the ends to help with any dryness. I usually let my hair air dry but I was too tired last night to wait for that to happen so I blow dried it and my hair felt nice and smooth afterwards. The oil is a nice one, probably something I'd reserve for use during the winter.
I was slightly apprehensive about the Lapcos Oil Mask. Although my skin is dehydrated-dry this time of the year, it hasn’t always had the best luck with oil based masks because I find that the oil from the mask usually just sits on top of my face and takes quite some time to absorb. I have a couple of oil-based masks that my skin responds to very well, but that’s not usually the case. This Lapcos mask is a 2-piece cotton sheet mask that has a noticeable scent to it so those that are sensitive to fragrance (or to flower or other essentials oils) might not be a fan of this one. The scent itself is a mix of flowers and herbs. The mask is a little on the firm, stiff side which coupled with the fact that it contains a lot of oils (A LOT of oils) made it a bit of a challenge to keep the mask on; fit and adherence wasn’t so great. I ended up just removing the mask, using my hand to wipe off the extra essence on top of my skin, mixing my moisturizer in with that essence and then patting that blend onto my skin. That seemed to help with the absorption and my skin felt moisturized. I’m not sure how I feel about this product as a sheet mask; it's just sorta "meh" or maybe even a "meh -" (meh minus). I wonder if it might work better if, from the very start, I either squeezed out some of the essence from the mask or if I squeezed some essence out onto a dry sheet mask pellet (where I could control the amount of essence / oil that saturates the mask). Hmmm… I do have another one of these masks so I may give one of those ideas a try another day.
@itsfi I haven't of the Illiyoon brand yet – that one sounds like one I'd like! My skin seems to really like ceramide and the milky essence sounds great too!
Great job finishing the SH scrub! I think the only lippie I've ever used all up is the Sephora honey scrub🍯👍
@Shosh85, Illiyoon is part of the AmorePacific family. My skin likes ceramides too! Masking has really taught me a lot about what ingredients work well for my skin.
Illiyoon has so many nice masks, @itsfi - I'm glad this one was a winner for you! Too bad about the Lapcos, but you're right, it might be slightly better playing around with the essence removal, etc. It'd be an interesting idea to try anyway!
Do you have any favorite Iliyoon masks @quspork? I think I’ve only tried one other besides this ceramide mask. 😃
I've tried the Lotus Moisture and Camellia Oil and both were nice. I think possibly one from their aging line as well, but honestly that was a few years ago and I can't quite remember, haha! Do you remember the other one you've tried, @itsfi? I should really try to pick up their mugwort one to try since I loved the Etude House mugwort mask but it's been discontinued. I'm curious how they would compare.
@quspork, I don’t remember the name of it but it was another mask with creamy milky essence. I think it had a gold on the packaging. A coworker’s mom went to Korea and brought back a bunch of masks for her and she gave me one to try. It was so good!!
Oh, mugwort is another good skincare ingredient.
@itsfiThat mask from last night sure sounds like a lot of oil! I'm still weary of using too many oils on my skin. Congrats on finishing up the lip scrub though! And the packaging on the hair oil looks so fun, sounds like it smelled lovely too!
The packaging on the hair oil is cute and fun @missjeanie! The scent is subtle too which I like. 😃
@itsfi I think the Lapcos Oil mask was recently reviewed on here and the person had a rough time with it. I can't quite remember who but I remember a few of us curious on trying it as well as we got it from Facetory. I guess its not quite the run to mask but the get to it when i get to it kinda mask.
@GalPalVal17, I think @Kim888 tried a mask like this but with different flower oils and @eshoe used this one earlier in the year. It seems like the mask could work for someone with very, very dry skin and who could lie down for the entire time s/he was wearing the mask.
It’s another reason why it’s smart to do a ♥️ Mask more than once, @itsfi. Or even a ‘Meh-minus’ mask😄
I had a real good, out-loud laugh at your 'meh-minus' observation, @itsfi 😄 You're not the first who has felt this way about this mask. But HURRAH for finally finishing your Sara Happ scrub - that takes serious commitment! Do you already have another flavor in mind, or do you think you'll hold off for a bit? She has some nice ones 😉
