Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface

@ShortErica For me, it depends on the mask (and toner) that I'm using. If I'm using a wash-off mask, that mask is generally coming directly after cleanser, then I may or may not use a toner after removing that mask. With sheet masks, I use those at the end of my routine right before moisturizer, so I would have already used toner and any serums. There are a ton of different types of toners though, so that can certainly affect why you'd want to use one and how you'd place it within your routine. I prefer hydrating toners to help keep my skin hydrated and help with absorption of the next steps of my routine.

Week 10 - Mar 4 - 10 - J - Female Owned Brands

Jumiso for me!

I tossed this in the frig when I was making pizza for dinner. When I opened the package the mask seemed moist but there was quite a bit of serum at the bottom. I dipped the mask back in to try and get it more drenched. I really appreciated the netting. It helped me feel confident about which side went on my face.

My face

The fit was pretty good (not short in the forehead as my last couple have been). It had extra cuts and I tried my best to lay them over each other. The mask did have a faint scent. The scent itself did not bother me but not being able to pinpoint what the scent was drove me a bit mad. It smelled maybe a little lemon, kinda cleaning product lemon smell..maybe..MAYBE?! Others who used this, did it remind you of another scent you recognized?

I wore the mask for 30 minutes. At some point my skin felt a bit tingly. Not bad but maybe the difference in temperature from the frig to the room caused this sensation. The mask felt a bit sticky on my face.

When I removed it my skin was quite tacky but looked very plump and hydrated. I think my forehead lines were diminished which was kind of impressive. I applied the extra serum in the package on my neck and hands. Then I applied moisturizer and my skin was soft.

Unlike my standard I decided to wait to review. I don't think my skin looked any different this morning than when I do my usual night routine. I am a rough sleeper and I had my sleep lines by my nose. One day I'll learn to sleep on my back.

So I think it's an B+/A-. (I really need my spreadsheet to compare this to the other masks for which grade I should give but of course it is on my home laptop and I'm adding this post while I'm away) The tackiness wasn't the end of the world but I prefer a mask that doesn't have it. I also really want to know what the scent was. And the tingling was a unique experience. The results were good but I wish they were longer lasting. I guess it's only a sheet mask though. 😉 I would do it again.

@ShortEricawouldn't it be marvelous if we could find a sheet mask where the results really lasted?  I'm hoping that maybe with continued use my skin will build up some kind of a reserve?  I mean... it's a hope right up there with they'll do my dishes for me... but a hope none the less!  Looks like this one was a pretty great fit for you!

@ShortErica This one sounds pretty good! It does get pretty frustrating when you can't pinpoint exactly what you're smelling on these! I know I definitely have a hard time with that!

I don't have this one, but I do have the  "Water-splash" one that I'm hoping to try sometime this week! Eventually, I'd love to try out this whole line – they are all sounding great!

@ShortErica I feel like I need to try these just because of how good the fit is! That NEVER happens woah!! Also for the scent - I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried the Holika Holika pig nose black head masks (they’ve gotten some mixed reviews on here), anyways I did one last night and they smell kind of how you’re describing, so I think I know what you’re talking about. It’s almost like if lemon pledge was less chemical and strong?

@cianni - that's pretty spot on with how I smelled it. It reminded me of cleaning supplies but didn't have that chemically component. Thank you!

I haven't tried the Holika Holika pig nose black head masks. I would recommend trying one of these. @Shosh85 did another one (look at me talking like I always knew there were different masks called Jumiso 😂) I think last week someone did it as well though I can't recall who and both gave A+ ratings.
