Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

@lmaster I’d  think with this kind of mask you’d need a lot of consistency to see anti-pollution results. But what really are anti pollution results? Clean skin?

Sunday night I was tired and found the choices for my last T mask were overwhelming so I grabbed the Cosmetea black tea nourishing. 

Monday afternoon was the Pixi mud mask— off theme but I want to try and use it up. Only a couple masks left in this guy. 

Monday night was more on theme with TCS Pineapple!

Ive used the black tea mask before. It’s a great filler mask for me. Great price point, a hint of a tea scent, my face felt refreshed afterwards and I got a bit of moisture out of it. Can’t complain. 
Move also used the Pixi mud mask several times. I think it’s a great mud mask. I’ll end up purchasing another at some point. My skin always does look clearer, as if it’s cleaned out my pores. 
TCS Pineapple mask was a new mask I believe. It had a lovely scent to it, it wasn’t exactly like fresh pineapple, but it was pineapple for sure, just an undertone of something else I can’t quite place. It went on a bit wrinkly. Though I was tired and didn’t want to fiddle with it. It does have slits all around to help out, but I felt the space between the eyes was way too much and the eye holes were too small. 
I kept the mask on for 25 minutes and it was starting to dry out. The philtrum area of the mask was pretty much dry, though I could have gotten another 5 minutes out of the forehead. This mask left a tacky af feeling on my skin. I think this is the tackiest my skin has ever felt from a mask. I would love this if I put makeup on straight after masking, however I’ll always have a sunscreen at the least in between. 
Put my moisturizer on about 20 minutes after taking this off (tackiness was still there) and once my moisturizers were on I didn’t notice it anymore. My face did look nice after using this. I’d say there was actually a noticeable brightening quality. I still have several of these left, and I’ll enjoy using them! May or may not repurchase depending on the status of my collection.

I have all of these masks @missjeanie; just need to get to them, but I'm even more excited to do so after hearing you had such good results from them. Always good to have filler masks. I'd love to know what masks you end up deciding to repurchase after going through your collection. Now, for U week and the Pixi mask, what about U is for unfailing? You did say that your skin always looks clearer after using it. 😉

@itsfi Im going to try to use the year long challenge to really figure out what enjoy then next year will be the time to use up meh masks and repurchase the ones I truly enjoy. I keep all my photos from my monthly empties so I’ll have a good list of loves to work off of! 

Yes! It is an unfailing clay mask for me!!

That sounds like a great approach @missjeanie! 🙂  My first year of masking was about a lot of hits and misses as I was learning about sheet masks, my skin, etc. After that it was easier to know which masks were likely going to work well and there's less 'meh' or 'so so' masks.

Good to know about the Pineapple mask – I have a 5 pk I need to use up and it sounds like before makeup is the best to use it.😉 Glad you had a nice masking session! 😃
