Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

Yep, I couldn't pinpoint the scent @Shosh85. I have no idea about pores and smoothness though. I don't have large pores that I know of so I didn't check out to see a difference in size. I'll have to investigate further.

Week 23 - Jun 3 - 9 - W - DIY Week

Welp, I've felt congested since last Saturday. Nothing terrible, just I haven't been "normal." No fun but I guess it could be worse. The warning of no mouth hole worked out perfectly as I intentionally picked the 23 years old Cocoon Willow Silky Mask sent to me from @eshoe.

No mouth hole was perfect for some of the dry areas I was getting around my nose and mouth. Though of course it didn't completely cover my nose.

Holy thickness batman! I guess I've been spoiled because this seemed very thick to me. Not uncomfortable but not as nice as other masks. The fit was pretty good though based on the packaging, I expected it to go further down the neck. It did tuck under the chin well. Out of the package it had a slight perfume scent.

The wear time on the package says 10-20 min. I easily wore it for 40 minutes and it was still moist. So I placed it on my neck for a little bit hoping to get some additional benefits. The perfume scent lasted while wearing but was not annoying or too noticeable. After removing, the skin was somewhat tacky and then slightly tacky after 5 minutes. 30 minutes after removing I couldn't feel any tackiness.

Results won me over with this mask. It says "quenching dry, dehydrated skin" on the package. Oh yes it did! My dry flakes were so much better. I didn't even put moisturizer on afterward and my face looked so moisturized in the morning.

Pros: long wear time, decent fit, excellent results. Cons: scent (though that's only a slight thing), some tackiness, material. Had I not known about the no mouth hole beforehand, my reaction would probably have been much different. But with that advice from you amazing maskers, I was able to use it to my advantage and it was a perk of the mask. I'd say B+ though I'm almost leaning toward an A-. I think going in with low expectations helped make this much better than I anticipated.

Edit to add: I think the lack of excess serum was why my notes say go with a B+ vs. A- rating. I remembered this after posting about the next mask I used since there was a large difference in this having no extra serum vs. that one having a ton.

Sorry @faeriegirl got distracted. At first I thought no mouth hole would be awful but it actually wasn't much different. And since I had a reason for wanting the mask there, it made it worth a shot for sure.
