Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

@eshoe  Yes, I was very amazed/impressed by how easily it rinsed off. I wasn't expecting that! 🙂  My pores are one of my trouble areas (particularly nose area), so I'm always pretty conscious of that kind of thing.

@PrettyPaint, I’ve also been finding that my skin has been responding well to collagen and collagen based products, too. I’ve mainly seen that through use of sheet masks but I’m thinking about incorporating more products with collagen in it in my other skincare.

@itsfi  I'm glad your skin likes it too! Please let me know if you find any other collagen-containing products that work well for you. I think I'd like to incorporate it some more as well.

I'll definitely let you know @PrettyPaint! I may need to start making a list of skincare products and sheet masks that contain products my skin loves. So many good ones out there, but I'm thinking collagen is definitely gonna make that list. 🙂

@itsfi Thanks so much! 🙂 Making a list is a great idea. I always think I'm going to remember which products/ingredients agree with me, but it's hard to keep track of everything, especially with so many new products/masks to try.

So my husband enthusiastically asked me to mask with him. Wait, what?

Sephora 2-in-1 Oil Mask - This was a greasy mess. How do I know since I wasn’t wearing it? My husband asked me to readjust it. The fit was weird. I’ve been trying to post a pic, but my post keeps disappearing. 😑 It’s a one-minute mask, and my husband prefers longer, but I was concerned about it clogging his pores. It was that greasy. He rinsed afterwards, as directed. And this is supposed to be a cleanser and moisturizer. Hubby said his skin felt moisturized and smooth, but it definitely wasn’t his favorite. He gave it a C.

Scinic Dual Rubber Wrapping Mask - No. Just no. This mask requires putting on the essence and then the two-piece mask. No problem. Things got “fun” when I gently put on the mask and then it started to tear. What? Aw man! So I chilled for 30 or so minutes with a torn mask. I removed the mask and massaged in the essence. My husband said my face looked brighter. It was hydrated. I’m just hot about the mask tearing. Maybe it was because it’s rubber? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Either way I won’t be buying any more in this brand. The only reason this gets a C is because of the effects.

Notice the hair mask. Again, it didn’t get used, this time because I was so frustrated by the other two masks that I forgot about it until this morning. Poor neglected mask. I’ll use it yet.

And since his mask didn’t do it for him the hubs says he may wanna mask again tonight if we’re not too tired. We’ll see.

Thanks @lmaster! He’s really taken a shine to masking. He actually thought one of my gratis products smelled like a mask. Sorry babe. Not this time. Bless his heart. I can tell it’s about time for another masking session if we can do it before he goes to bed. He’s not a night owl like me.

If we end up masking tonight I hope so too @emaisgr8 . He’s had to go to work earlier than usual so he’s been going to bed earlier. We’re generally late-night maskers so I’ve been without my partner because he’s asleep.
