Hello lovely masking mavens! Welcome to the second half of the challenge. Many thanks to the wonderful @Aaliaa for beginning this thread and excited you are here.

To Post:

Spoiler
Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Another Dearpacker mask to round out D week for me. This time the Dearpacker Tevania Essential Nutrition Booster mask.

IMG_20190727_221017.jpg

First things first, this mask has a serious amount of serum. A WHOLE LOT. The instructions say to take out the mask (which was fairly thin, smooth, has good adherence), put it into place and then open the tab at the bottom to add additional serum to any drier patches. I ended up wearing the mask for about 30 minutes before applying the additional serum and then wearing the mask another 20 minutes. The serum was a thicker white creamy serum with a slightly woody, but not overwhelming scent. With all that serum this is definitely a mask for those with drier skin than mine. It did not clog my pores but I'm honestly surprised it didn't. For me, I would not re-use just because I don't think it's the best fit for my skin type. But if you have skin that needs some moisture? Definitely check this one out!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

That sounds like the perfect winter mask for me!!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I hope it works out for you, @ather!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork this sounds like a great mask in the winter for me 😊

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It's definitely high on the moisturizing aspect, so for dry winter skin it'd would probably be great, @lmaster!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork  I’m always disappointed when I get a creamy mask like this. It’s an express ride to Breakoutville if I even attempt a creamy mask. Now when I discover that a mask is creamy, I use the serum/essence on my arms and legs, and choose a different mask for my face.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

This one probably would not be the right one for you, @PinkEvergreen! I'm honestly amazed that I didn't break out because heavy creams will often clog my pores and even though this was a thicker serum type, there was just sooooo much. It was very rich and just too much for me either way.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork  Sounds like a my skin would love this one 😉 Sorry this one doesn't fit your skin type, but I'm glad it turned out fine despite that!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

At least it's good to know what not to grab for myself next time, @Shosh85!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork, this one sounds great for adding moisture to the skin. I’ve wondered about this line of masks since seeing it online at Ulta. Will put this on the list for when the weather cools down. 😊

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yes, I'd definitely consider this one more of a cooler, drier weather mask even for my dry-skin fellow maskers, @itsfi. You may love it come January though!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Well my skin will definitely need some come winter time @quspork @thank you for the recommendation😊👌🏻

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It may be worth checking out the line once the winter weather hits, @eshoe. I'd love to hear about some of the others from this line if you decide to check them out!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Saturday afternoon masking because I am too impatient to wait until tonight. And I worked out with Popsugar Fitness so needed to get my face cleanSmiley Happy

sat.jpgEve Lom, OH, SH, Laneige & Dearpacker

Spoiler
Inspired by @naturalooks15 's recent thread, I am trying to get back into workout mode. Which results in some afternoon masking, because I can't just wash my face and slap some moisturizer on it midday. It was a bit of awkward masking.

So this is what I did:

After double cleansing I applied the EVE LOM - Morning Time Cleanserand Sara Happ. Thinking about both of these tonight, as much as I love the EL I likely won’t repurchase. I’m inching towards less scented products, and while this has a lovely clove scent, there are some days it’s a bit much for me. And the SH - it’s fun but I have a feeling this will expire before I finish it; a little goes a long way! And as a non matte-lipstick wearer, I think I’m missing out on the major conditioning this gives.

After rinsing I applied the OLEHENRIKSEN - Pore-Balance™ Facial Sauna Scrub It brings a very, very slight warming sensation to my face while applying it, but it dissipates almost as quickly as I notice it. It has a strong tea tree scent, though not as strong as the Biossance; it does teeter on the edge of turpentine. I left this on a good 10 minutes and rinsed, with my skin left feeling quite soft. Time for the Dearpacker!

@lmaster tried this mask earlier this week (could have been yesterday?) and I was intrigued by the black with gold-flecked mask. It is beautiful, a two-piece slippery hydrogel mask packed between two protective layers. It was easy to apply and fit my face beautifully. The essence…I think she said is smelled like seasoning? Yeah, it’s like putting steak seasoning on your face. Very peppery, a bit woodsy…this is a mask that your man might appreciate, @divaknits Smiley Wink

It fits so nicely, I didn’t want to remove it. I finally did, with zero tackiness left behind. Aside from the odd scent, it was a fantastic mask in my mind and an A+. Would go nice with some bacon balm, but instead I continued my meager progress on the LANEIGE - Lip Sleeping MaskSmiley Wink

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yay @eshoe  !! More the merrier. We need as much support as we can get to continue the workouts. That is the first thing to fall off from schedule at the slightest change/ shake-up in our lives (at least true for me).

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It’s truly incredible how much better you can feel after just a couple days @naturalooks15. My energy has been so low lately, I’m really doing this in the hopes it will get my overall every levels up!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Looks like a perfect skincare Afternoon!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It was a great lazy Sunday afternoon @ather, doesn’t happen all the time but when it does, I soak it up😊

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe hahahaha!!!! Bacon balm!!!! Loving this,,, I was thinking woodsy steak too 😂

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It was unique, @lmaster - kind of made me hungry, too😄

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I generally spice the steak, not my face. Scratch that- I never spice my face, but hey, to each their own. 🤷🏼‍♀️
