Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe
Remove clay/difficult masks in the shower to keep towel clean and removal easy	itsfi/BIC

Oh no about the burning! Glad the Origins helped @l8totheparty. I agree with others - patch test and don't do that mask to your whole face again!

The worst experience like that for me was a Yes sheet Mask, grapefruit. I still have red splotches on the apple of my cheek from it, and that was months and months ago. I had it on for maybe 10-15 seconds. I have avoided that whole line since. @l8totheparty

I've been keeping an excel list of products and their ingredients to try to narrow down irritants.   I've got to add more of the items tried lately in.

Ack!!! @l8totheparty, I agree with @heartsmyface! That’s a long time, too long, for your skin to feel like it’s burning after removing the product. I’m so sorry your had that reaction. Or, maybe do a small patch test it first somewhere other than your face.

@l8totheparty   Oh my gosh the same thing happened to me with the first aid beauty resurfacing mask (I believe?).  I was BURNING and desperate running around for like forty minutes looking for something to soothe it while using ice against my face.  I was at a hotel and I managed to find  polysporin with lanocaine in my hubs shaving kit.  It worked.  Instant relief.  

If it’s still bothering you you should try out the medical cabinet;)

noooo don’t try it again!  :O.  If it burned you for two hours there’s definitely an allergic reaction going on!

Ugh, I hate having reactions!  I wasn't,  and am not, sure if the reaction is because I just exfoliated last night and this item was too much too soon? Or if it is a genuine reaction.  I wonder if anyone else reacted to this item. I can't see Sephora reviews in the USA, and Canada Sephora doesn't carry it. Their website has loads of positive reviews.

But you have to dig a bit into the reviews to get a better idea of the direction the reviewer is going, @l8totheparty🙄 It’s hard to trust a slew of only one-sided reviews.

Yeah. I like reading some of the best, average and some of the the lowest reviews. Get a balanced sense. But I went into this one cold with the Boxycharm sale. 🙄 I've seen lots of positive reviews on different product sites for various products.  At least in this little neck of the woods we might hear a real review. @eshoe

F is for flower fusion.  Okay this mask smells divine of citrus orange.  It’s a thicker cotton which irritates me.  It fits alright even though it doesn’t conform the way I like, but doesn’t have a whole lot of serum so it nearly dries up by the end of the 20 minute session.  I had to lay down near the fifteen minute mark to keep it on.  The scent really carries this mask.  My skin was bare minimally  moisturized.  Nothing too special.  It gets a B.  I would still enjoy this mask again for the scent but am not sure I’d buy it again.

@heartsmyface I fell head over heels with the first Flower Fusion Mask I tried. The scent was amazing, yes! The second time I think I was surprised I gave it such a glowing review🤷🏻‍♀️ Love the pj’s😊

@heartsmyface, the thick ones are troublesome for me as well. Grrr!! 😒 I haven’t heard many great things about this line of Origins sheet masks; I tend to stick with their wash off masks. Okay, let’s talk about the lippie...the packaging is cute; how do/did you like it?

@itsfi   Slightly cooling in a minty but not minty way.  Leaves a light tint.  I’ve used up the pink one I got so thought I’d give the orange one a go.   It does the job of glossing the lips, isn’t sticky but isn’t special really either.  It falls under ‘I like it but wouldn’t rebuy it’

@heartsmyface The non-conforming, thicker masks are definitely not my favorite either. I know what you mean by the scent carrying the mask - I've had a few that I'd use again just to smell it 😃

I love how everything is so matchy-matchy –your hair, mask package, gloss and that shirt is awesome! - is it an M&M one?
