Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

No, not naive. I first heard of almond jello (or almond jelly is probably more accurate) when I was in college. I was baffled as I grew up with jello as a special treat we'd have occasionally (and I thought I knew all the flavors) and I had no clue what some of my friends were talking about. I haven't had it in such a long time. Hmmmm... I may need to go look for a place that sells the mix next weekend.

Oh that sounds good @itsfi! I have almond extract, not sure if the recipe calls for it but now I want to look one up to try it out!

@itsfi  whipped potatoes... that's exactly what I thought when I tried that Fresh mask this week! 😂 The consistency of that Dear, Klairs mask sounds a lot like my Kypris... it took a long time before I saw it go down and it always looks like I didn't scoop some out. Sounds like a good one even though there is some tackiness.

@veronika23, yaaay, I’m not the only one that thought that about the Fresh mask! I thought it might just be me; like, maybe I was really hungry 😋 or I just think about food a lot. 😂😂😂 But it does look like real smooth whipped potatoes. 🥔 It’s made me think that I’ll pair it with a potato sheet mask soon! 

The texture of the Klairs mask is so fascinating. Oh, your Kypris mask? That’s the never ending mask, right?! Good to know; I’ll try to keep track of usage on this one and see how long it takes to get through it.

yeah it's the never ending... well I can see it has gone down now but yeah it took a while before that happened... and trying to keep track of usage too... might be using a bit more than I should as well since I am well over that 3 month mark for it. I'll be curious to know how long it takes for you to get through your jar!

That Black Tea mask is so nice @itsfi! The Klairs mask does sound interesting, curious to hear how you like it after a few more uses, especially as the ‘starfish of masks’ 😄

So far, so good with the Dear, Klairs mask @eshoe! My skin feels soft and bouncy. 🙂 Will be interesting to see how it holds up as an overnight mask and moisturizer as well. Love finding new and interesting masks; I’ve been fortunate to have found a few.

@itsfi All A's is always a good thing! The Dear Klairs mask definitely does sound interesting and intriguing! I actually like the sound of that consistency – though, I don't think I've used one like that before!

I have a foil sample of the Black Tea Mask that I had forgotten about! Now I feel like I really need to try it! I wouldn't expect it to have a cucumber scent! 🥒

Oh my goodness @Shosh85, I was not expecting that the Fresh Black Tea mask would have a cucumber scent! 🥒 I snuck my nose 👃🏼 into the jar twice to smell it just to make sure! Hahaha! 😂😂😂

Ah @itsfi that dear klairs sounds so interesting! 🐙 (there’s no starfish emoji and the octopus is cuter than a regular star LOL). I’m so happy you had results! Sometimes (irrational, I know), I feel like lighter textured masks aren’t ~doing~ anything, but I love that it can do triple duty! I’m always up for a moisturizing mask!

@cianni, I was surprised by the Dear, Klairs mask - the results and that it bounced back in the jar! I’ll definitely use it again and will take a before and after photo of it. Love the octopus 🐙 emoji. 👍🏼

Used the lovely “F”resh Vitamin c glow powder mask earlier this morning. This is one of my favorite quick masks! In 30 seconds it gives me an instant glow and tightened and refined pores. Later  I tried out the Mahalo Petal Mask. I think my skin just doesn’t really get a long with the brand. It did have a super nice scent but instead of hydrating my skin it made my skin so incredibly dry. I tried to wait for like half an hour after I used it (edit - left it on for 25 minutes) to see if maybe it was an initial reaction but my skin felt so dry I ended up needing to grab a hydrating sheet mask.

Love that Fresh mask too, @Kim888! Isn't it great when a $$$ mask doesn't work for you though? I wish I didn't love it so much...sorry it didn't work out:/
