Many thanks to the wonderful @Aaliaa for beginning this thread and excited you are here.

Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Most recently the Sweet Chef line, @ShortErica. I tried all 3 (as did @Shosh85 I believe) and they were all ill-fitting in the same places. Now that’s not common to all brands, the Crème Shop is all over the board with fit/tackiness/scent, but then again they have a huge variety.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica @eshoe Of the Sweet Chef Masks, I've only tried the Kale one so far. I do plan on trying the ginger one this weekend sometime though! – but yes, the fit on that one was pretty bad, especially the lower half! 😳

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Okay so stay away from Sweet Chef and Creme Shop is depends on the mask. Thanks @eshoe and @Shosh85!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica Out of The Creme Shop masks, the "Fusion" line seems to be consistently pretty good. 👍 @eshoe

ETA: I should mention, the Sweet Chef mask that I tried had a bad fit and didn't smell good to me, but it did give some great results! I know there are people who do like it — it just wasn't for me! I'm also extra sensitive to scents, so that has a lot to do with it too.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ohhhh... I've seen some of these Cosmetea ones out and about.  I was curious if anyone had tried them!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Hmmmm hard to say @ShortErica🤔 I’m curious what you think of the Pūrlisse so that has my vote!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@ShortErica I've heard good things about both..... how 'bout eeny meeny miny moe? 😃

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

“Eeny meeny miny moe” is an excellent problem solver @Shosh85! 😂😂 It’s a great fallback for me when I just can’t decide!! 👍🏼 LOVE it! 💗

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

If @eshoe wouldn't have commented, eeny meeny miny moe was going to be my way to decide @Shosh85.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Oh shoot I should have held my tongue @ShortErica! Next time I’m staying out of it😄

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe @ShortErica Hahaha!! Eeny Meeny is still my way of deciding things I can't decide. 😂😆

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Survey results are up!!!

Wow happy to be posting again, did some masking this morning:

mask.jpgOrigins, FAB, Farmacy, Face Shop & more FAB

Spoiler
Prepping for my first DE Passioni use tonight, I wanted to give my skin some extra attention as well as a bit of very mild exfoliation since I won't be able to over the next few days. I used the ORIGINS - Drink Up™ 10 Minute Hydrating Mask with Apricot & Swiss Glacier Water to start off with (<3 my Galentine @MissPuff!) and followed up with the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads (probably did this backwards, but my skin liked it!). The Origins is an immediate favorite, just love the scent and my skin really responds favorably to this soothing hydration. An A+ and a repurchase when I run out! The FAB pads are pretty nice, I do notice a visible brightening when I've used it (this is only my second use). I think these might need to work themselves into my regular routine at some point. This was the first time I've used the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Lip Therapy as well, love it for the kitchen and will probably keep it there with my 'kitchen stash' for use while I'm cooking/baking as the applicator is perfect for mess-free application.

The Face Shop The Solution Radiance Face Mask was sent to me by @keana1  who knew I was hoping to try this brand at some point. She included quite a few, so I am looking forward to using them over the next few months. Many thanks to you keana1! This one has Vitamin C which I thought would also be a good idea to sneak in before I start using the Passioni. When I opened the packet, I noticed a pretty strong, pleasant scent. To me, it was a bit like perfume, but when I asked the younger one her thoughts, she said, "Oh yes, I know that smell. I'll never forget that smell. It smells like face masks." Ha, I didn't think so but everyone's nose is different! I loved the scent, which for the most part dissipated while I masked. The fit was pretty good, I did snip a bit around the mouth so I could drink my coffee without it soaking into the mask Smiley Very Happy

I left it on about 25 minutes and removed. My skin was fairly tacky, so I added a decent amount of moisturizer (I kind of pile on the YTTP) and went makeup-free for the day. I want to try the other Face Shop masks before grading, this was enjoyable and gave my skin some nice plumping this morning.

love the fab pads lol @eshoe glad you had a good experien...

love the fab pads lol @eshoe glad you had a good experience trying most of the products out!

Re: love the fab pads lol @eshoe glad you had a good experien...

They are great @lmaster, it’s nice to have an exfoliating go-to that I know won’t launch an all-out abrasion attack on my slin😆

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe, the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads are great, aren’t they?! 💗 Love that line of sheet masks from The Face Shop!! I can’t wait to use that Origins mask - motivation to finish what I have.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I am so glad you mentioned how gentle they are, @itsfi - they probably would have expired or dried up in my stash! I really love them, good, good stuff😊

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

The FAB pads were the first chemical exfoliants that my skin didn’t react negatively towards. 👍🏼 They’re also the ones I start back with if there’s been a long hiatus from AHA/BHA. Before using these pads, I didn’t think about the need to ease into it products like it, but lesson learned, @eshoe. 😃 Now, I ease into new products 9 out of 10 times!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Yes I am just learning that, @itsfi. What are the pools called that are built to mimic entering the ocean? Had to look to it up-zero entry! I need a zero-entry approach to skin-care😊

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Don’t we all @eshoe?!! 😆 That would be amazing!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

The Origins mask sounds great @eshoe ! I’ll definitely need to order it! I love the smell of apricot! Every Origins mask that I’ve used so far are wonderful and I enjoy their smell! Little Masker is such a cutie when she told you that the Face Shop mask smelled like face masks! I’m glad that it plumped your skin! I haven’t tried it yet since it doesn’t correspond to this week’s theme but I can’t wait to try it!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I think you would enjoy the Origins, @keana1. Their masks have such a natural scent, which is a bonus.

Yep, the ‘sheet mask scent’ is alive and well😄
