I love the way you start your day, @itsfi 🙂 Healthy and hydrated lips, skin and hair <3<3<3
Amika seems to be a pretty universally-loved brand, haven't tried the Triple Rx Mask yet but I love the Soulfood! I'll keep an eye out for it 😉
Thanks @eshoe! I had lots of meetings yesterday so hydration inside and out were the order of the day! 🙂 Amika TripleX Mask is excellent; I first tried the Soulfood mask and didn't care for it. I decided to give the TripleX mask a try because @Shosh85 had such great things to say about it and c'mon, have you seen how pretty and healthy her hair looks?!
@itsfi yaaaaaaaay I have this one to try 🙌👍
@lmaster, the sheet mask does contain AHAs so just be careful not to use too many other exfoliating products or your skin become really dry.
A couple of night’s maskings:
Last night:
@eshoe The JayJun and Glow Recipe Masks sound so great – they are both on my list of masks to buy!
Im really starting to like the JayJun brand – the few things I've tried I've loved!
i didn't realize the Glow Recipe mask was a two piece hydrogel! That kinda makes me more excited for it! 🙌😉
@eshoe 😅 I'm literally one step behind you the past two days!! Haha I'm going to use the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask 1.17 oz/ 33 g
today too!! Those all sounds really nice. Also looking forward to trying the 3 step mask you used as well 😉
Ha ha @lmaster I feel like I am always a few steps behind everyone else here! I think it's fun either way, at least I get to see and hear what others think of a mask around the same time I am using it so the details are fresh in my mind 🙂
Good to hear about that JayJun mask pack @eshoe; I think that may be the only JayJun multi-step mask pack that I have not tried. Now I know what to expect. I've found the Glow Recipe Watermelon sheet mask to be an okay mask - not bad, but not great, but I know a lot of people really like it. It does smell lovely though. 🙂 The travel friendly June Jacobs mask is adorable! ❤️
@itsfi I have only heard mediocre reports on the GR mask so maybe it was a matter of very low expectations 🙂 They always do wonders for a mask. I just wish it wasn't so pricey, come to think of it I should probably grade it a bit less just for the price. I wonder if there are any other 2-piece jelly masks out there? I imagine there must be, for much less. The hunt begins!
I'm sure there are @eshoe! Happy hunting to you! Looking forward to seeing what you find in terms of another 2-piece jelly mask AND what other goodies may have made their way into your shopping cart while searching for another similar jelly mask. hahaha! 😉
Ha you know me too well @itsfi 😉 A quick search and I've found nothing yet; though "2 part jelly mask" brings up Glow Recipe's and the Meg 2-Step Jelly Mask...so I've got a bit of refining to do. Will give me something fun to do:)
@eshoe I recently tried the Watermelon Glow Recipe mask and didn't have as much love as you did with it. I felt that it was difficult to put on but then again I'm not digging the hydro gel masks as much. Don't hate them but not my favorite. Agreed, didn't expect a 2 piece mask which was kinda cool. However, what I disliked most about it was that later in the night when I put on moisturizer, the glow recipe started to pill. Maybe it just wasn't a good mix, maybe it didnt absorb completely into my skin... I really don't know but didnt care for it. Not a mask I would jump to try again. But, I am very glad you had a pleasant experience with it and was so eager to read your review when I saw the pic.
I am not surprised, @GalPalVal17 - this is what I heard/read most when looking at reviews. Now I did have a FS of the Watermelon Sleeping Mask which I ended up giving to a family member as it pilled on my skin as well, and didn't seem to do anything for me. I think that's why I had such low expectations of this one. I love hearing how differently masks work on other people too, being here has helped me learn a couple of things about reviewing them. 1) They REALLY act differently on different people's skin (masks I find tacky are the opposite on others, and vice versa) 2) I love certain masks for personal reasons, maybe a scent or the fit - which does not mean it is necessarily a great mask. So I try to be careful when reviewing, so that it reflects a personal opinion and not a "This is the perfect mask!" view 😄
@eshoe ooh that 3 step mask sounds really nice! glad the watermelon mask worked out for you so well! It wasn't that I didn't like it,but when I compared the price to other sheet masks I didn't think it was good enough to pay for again
Yeah, @Kim888, it's pretty steep for an everyday mask. A fantastic treat though! I will buy another one maybe during the spring sale to set aside for summer.
