Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

@lmaster it’s feeling better already 😍 but I MAY have found a new love, something to rival my beloved Mario Badescu rose water spray 😱 I know you had an issue with some ingredients in MB products, but I think this new spray doesn’t have any bad stuff. I’ll be testing it out a few more times before I post it just to be sure but I think you’ll like it!!

It's fun to see the products you use before (and after) masking, @cianni, like the Dermalogica. It's all part of the process 🙂 Also love that you include local companies in your routine. It's fun to find a hidden treasure!

I have the Laneige eye mask on my list of things to try. My under-eye gets dry so easily.

I try to incorporate locally made things when I can ☺️ It’s a little annoying because stock and releases can be a little limited or inconsistent, but from an ingredients perspective I always feel a lot more comfortable knowing exactly what’s gone into it! The eye mask is great. Even if you can somehow pick up a DS wpuld work, because it lasts SO long. I’ve been hanging onto a 5ml for what seems like an eternity. I don’t use it everyday but the area is so small that you can really stretch it out. That parched dry eye feeling is the worst ahhhh

You did not drop the ball at all! I find myself using masks that fit the previous week’s themes all the time. And love that you are giving some love to a local brand! 💗👌🏼

@itsfi thank you!! They really did help. I’ll be staying away from makeup or anything crazy just to be on the safe side but my skin seemed much happier this morning. The Dermalogica was very under the radar for me, I actually only have it because it was part of a set that was recommended to me by my dermatologist. If you get a chance to try it I’m sure you’re going to love it - I find it really has helped my serums and moisturizers penetrate my skin better, instead of kind of just sitting on the surface.

@itsfi looks like another great masking session last night! Good to know about the Jo Malone. I didn’t even know that was a thing.. hmmmmmm. I was also pleasantly surprised by the KS when I tried it too! I was concerned that my face would just peel right off, but alas it is gentle enough even for my temperamental skin!

I've enjoyed using the Liquid ExfoliKate! I was surprised how gentle it was! 🤗 So glad it's working well for you!

Awww @Shosh85, you’re the best! 🥰 Yeah, Tuesday night was special occasions masking in the Fi house! Hahaha! 😆😆 I so agree about the Liquid ExfoliKate! I love that it’s gentle on my skin, my ramp up time went more quickly than usual. How often are you incorporating it into your routine?

@itsfi I've only been using about twice a week. I don't want to over do it (I've been known to do that) and I also want to leave room for other acids during the week. 😉
