Many thanks to the wonderful @Aaliaa for beginning this thread and excited you are here.

Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

It was all about BIC recommended / inspired products for my pre-dinner and post-dinner masking yesterday, and milk was the ingredient of the night.

IMG_6914.JPG

Spoiler

MILK MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Face Mask was great to get a quick glow before dinner last night. I like this one a lot; the packaging is convenient and the mask leaves my complexion looking refreshed and bright. I packed it for my trip after using it. This one will come in handy when I need to refresh and brighten up my complexion but don’t have a lot of time. Thank you again @bakeamuffin for this beauty!

I was tired when I got back in from dinner but I really needed to mask – air travel and air conditioned hotel rooms don’t play nice with my skin so for me, it’s all about hydration, hydration, and hydration, inside and out before, during and after a trip. Farm Stay Visible Different Mask Sheet – Milk was a gift from the fabulous @sprocketta  (thank you so much; my skin has loved the masks you sent me!) I’ve really enjoyed all the mask she set me and have been saving this one for a while. Milk protein extract is said to brighten, moisturize and revitalize skin. All that sounds pretty good to me! With it being a milk mask, I fully expect the essence to be creamy and milky. Not so. The essence is your standard watery, liquidy essence. The mask has a clean, fresh scent to it that is common among sheet masks. Smiley Wink It’s full of, but not dripping in, essence and the mask itself is neither thin nor thick. After the usual adjustments, I left the mask on for the recommended 30 minutes and pressed in the essence that had not yet been fully absorbed. There’s the slightest bit of tack to the skin it doesn’t last long. My skin feels soft, hydrated, firm and bouncy at the same time and looks dewy as well – not like a greasy dewy, but like a fresh glow.

Inspired by the lip oil   used earlier this week from the same line, I was excited to give the A’Pieu Honey & Milk Lip Scrub and Lip Balm a try - the combination of honey and milk sounds rich and moisturizing.  Well, there’s good news and bad news about these lip products. Good news is that the lip balm is nice and moisturizing and has a good consistency to it – not too thick, not too thin, and wears comfortably on my lips.  Bad news is that the lip scrub is not very scrubby - it has a few small-ish exfoliating beads peppered throughout the creamy formula and has a bit of a mint-like scent/feel to it, but it doesn’t feel like it does much as far as exfoliation goes, which is bit of a bummer.  I’ll continue to try it out over the next few weeks and then decide if I’ll keep it; I have a feeling this one may end up getting decluttered, but we shall see..

farm stay sounds so perfect @itsfi definitely want to look it up

Re: farm stay sounds so perfect @itsfi definitely want to loo...

They're good @lmaster, but be sure to check the ingredients list first. Some have alcohol in them and I know your skin isn't very happy with you when you use sheet masks with alcohol in it.

A'Pieu Pure Milk Sheet Mask is another milk sheet mask I really like and that one does not contain alcohol; it's available at Target - in certain stores and online, as well as online at sokoglam dot com and masksheets dot com. I'm not home so I can't take a pic of it for you, but the packaging is shaped like a milk carton and the pure milk version (they have coffee milk, strawberry milk, etc.) is in light blue packaging.

Re: farm stay sounds so perfect @itsfi definitely want to loo...

Thank you for that heads up @itsfi I'm really really trying to check those ingredients!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

These sound fantastic @itsfi!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@faeriegirl, it was fun to do a milk themed mask session and my skin is happy! Smiley Happy

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi I think I really need to start trying more from the Farm Stay brand! I've heard such positive reviews on the brand in general and the results from this one sounds wonderful!

I love how travel-convenient and easy the Milk Makeup is to use! It's also nice to have something fast to use if you want to mask but don't have a lot of time! I'll definitely have to pick up one of these soon! 😉🙌

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Definitely give the Farm Stay ones a try, @Shosh85!  All the ones I've tried - cucumber, snail, honey, milk - have been great for hydration and moisture.

Oh yes, having the Milk mask in stick form is so great! There's a new cannabis seed oil one; I think it would be great if Milk had a set of mini's of all three of these masks - that would be fabulous!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

You are quite welcome @itsfi I'm glad you're enjoying them.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

They've all been great @sprocketta! <3

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Nice masking @itsfi, I love the Milk Makeup as well. I was very curious about the review on the A'Pieu but it definitely sounds like one to pass over, for now at least. @sprocketta & @bakeamuffin did a fantastic job of selecting some masks for you, too!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe, the A'Pieu lips scrub is something you could live without. The lip balm is nice but if I had to choose, I'd go for the Laneige ones over the A'Pieu. Smiley Happy

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Ha ha @itsfi I am happy to hear it’s a product I could do without; I’m thinking about one of the Laneige balms but can’t decide on the Peach or the Pear. I hope to hear about them soon!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi  Great masking!! I, too,  really like the Milk Watermelon Brightening mask. So easy and you get nice results!! It would be great for traveling!! And the sheet mask sounds like a great follow up mask!! Your skin should look bright and clear!! Have a great weekend!!😊🍉🥛🐮

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@yankeefaithful, I just love the ease and convenience of these Milk mask sticks. Smiley Happy They're efficient and effective!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

I think "Bic made me do it" week is going to make me do some shopping!  I'm loving the idea of the milk masks being so easy to apply @itsfi !
