Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface

Oooh, the dragonfruit mask sounds good @lmaster! 🙂 I've tried a couple of the masks from that line - the hyaluronic acid / hydrating ones I liked, but I think there was a brightening one that I used last year that did not agree with my skin. I don't think it was this collagen one; I want to say it had a white / silver cover.

@lmaster, I agree. I look at masks that claim to lift or firm as either being ones that I would need to use consistently long term to see if it actually works or that I just look at as hydrating masks that may provide extra benefits if used consistently.

O is for Other Option

Since it seemed like the Sephora Collection Orchid Face Mask I used yesterday morning had passed its prime, I went with the Dr. Belmeur Advanced Cica Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask which is a thicker, gauze-y mask boasting centella asiatica (aka cica) and hyaluronic acid as its star ingredients and that has no scent; yep, it's completely unscented (not even that signature sheet mask scent), so those sensitive to fragrance might be interested in this one. Beyond the usual too long at the chin, wide and the eye area covering my entire eye lid, the overall fit was off, in large part because the gauze like material made the mask a bit stiff in some areas and that caused fit and adherence to suffer and the area above the lip was too large and kept sliding. Setting aside the fit issues, which except for the stiffness, could be resolved with a pair of scissors, the sheet mask itself was good - the essence absorbed smoothly and my skin felt soft and bouncy and looked bright and hydrated. 

O is for The Oozoo and Outstanding

I went with a honey theme for my masking time last night. The Oozoo Fresh Capsule Mask - Royal Jelly was one I've wanted to try for some time and what better time than this week's Oozoo and Neogen theme week?!  @Shosh85 used this one earlier in the week and raved about it so I knew I would be in for a real treat. 🙂 This one is fabulous! The fit was off in the way that a sheet mask's fit often is for my face - too long at the chin, a smidge wide at the side and needing a minor adjustment at the corner of the eyes. Those are usually non-issues if adherence and results are good and they were great with this mask. The mask smelled like sweetened honey coming out of the packet and felt soft and comfortable against my skin. I left it on for my usual 30 minutes and was greeted with soft, hydrated skin that had a lovely fresh, bright glow to it. 🙂 Given the letter of the week, I'm giving this an O for Outstanding. 🙂

@Shosh85, love this Oozoo honey one - this one and the rose one are definitely repurchase-worthy. 🙂  The Dr. Belmeur one has some good ingredients and I like the results it gives. Coupled with a pair of mini scissors and the fit issues should be easily resolved.

Have you not tried The Oozoo honey capsule mask before @eshoe?! It's lovely. ❤️ The Oozoo and Neogen brands have put out some nice masks (and I do like Neogen skincare products as well). Love this theme idea, @Shosh85! 🙂

@itsfi I tried it last year, after I fell in love with the Rose one! It was my second favorite (there are 3 I believe, with the Silk one which I found to be too stringy-icky 😆 But it’s been so long since I’ve used it I’ve forgotten the details, so it will be new-ish to me:)
