I should refrigerate them for summer @lmaster . They would cool even more.
Highly recommend putting them in the refrigerator @keana1! Also, don't be silly like me and put them in your bathroom while taking a hot shower so they start to warm up. Totally counterproductive. 🤣
Thanks for the tip @ShortErica !
@keana1 that would feel like the arctic
Not for me, living in Canada is like living in a freezer for 4 months in a row @lmaster 😂
@keana1 I just can't stand cold, I think I told you before, when it's 80 degrees or below, I'm cold! So living with these past few Winters has been tortuous!
I’m happy when it’s 60 degrees outside @lmaster . I even wear shorts but with a thick fleece jacket! We have temperature extremes, in winter it can be -30 F and in summer it can reach 100 F ( when we have a heat wave ) so you have to be flexible.
Haha!! @keana1 flexible,,, yeah kinda forced to be at the moment
It’s definitely forced flexibility @lmaster !🙄
What a great combination of skincare goodies @keana1! Love the DDG peels and I really need to remember to pick up that LRP Cicaplast Gel - it sounds fabulous. I may need to take a walk to the store today to pick that up. 😉
Thanks @itsfi ! I never thought that I would use the LRP gel as much! I don’t regret buying it!
@keana1 What a great roundup of products! I love the DDG peels! – but like you, I only use them every now and then.
I really need to try the Skyn Eye Patches, everyone makes them sound so good! I'm glad to hear they worked so well for you! 🤗
Thanks @Shosh85 , if I used the DDG peels everyday, my face would melt! 😂 You should try the Skyn Iceland eye patches, they would be perfect since you’re a busy mom ! They wouldn’t fall off !
Two masks today! Pyungkang Yul and Pearl Power. I have been so curious about the Pyunkang Yul mask! This will be the third mask I've used this week that was given to me by the wonderful @itsfi! Thank you so much for gifting me some awesome masks!
Pyunkang Yul Mask Pack
This is a 3 step mask that has a peeling gel as the first step, a sheet mask as the second step and balancing gel as the third. I massaged the peeling gel into my wet skin and it did an amazing job peeling up sooo much! I rinsed and dried my face and placed the mask. It was such thin cotton that even adjusting it just the tiniest bit made it tear. There wasn't really much of a scent, if anything it was just that signature sheet mask type of smell. It had an ok fit – just a smidge to large at the forehead and a little too long at the chin. It adhered very well and was comfortable to wear. I kept it on for about 25 minutes. When I removed it there was still a little bit of serum on my face and didn't seem to be tacky at all. I then applied the last step, the balancing gel. It was a strange gel consistency and was pretty tacky. I now understand why @Kim888 said she'd skip this step if she used it again. The tackiness took a little while to absorb, but when it did my skin felt very soft and smooth and my face looked brighter and clearer. My skin didn't feel dry, but also didn't feel too moisturized either – just kinda somewhere in between. I don't think I'd go through a lot of trouble to purchase this one, but I'd definitely use it again if it happened to fall into my lap. I think I'd give this one an A-/B+
Ingredients:
Bath & Body Works Pearl Power Illuminating Sheet Mask
This is a biocellulose mask that was sandwiched between two protective layers. It had a fresh and clean, slightly perfumy kind of scent. It does have fragrance listed near the middle so that makes sense. Added fragrance definitely isn't my favorite, especially that high up in the ingredients, but it wasn't a strong enough scent to bother me at all. It had the perfect fit for me, adhered very well and was super comfortable to wear. I left it on for about 20 minutes. When I removed it there was just a little serum left that was slightly tacky, but everything absorbed on its own very quickly. My face was noticeably brighter and felt very soft and smooth. The hydration was also excellent and lasted for quite a while. Bath & Body Works doesn't sell this one anymore, (seasonal) but if I happened to come across it again I'd definitely repurchase. This one gets an A!
Ingredients:
Something so satisfying about those peeling gels @Shosh85 ! Glad you had two good masks! That B&BW one is such a pretty package.
@missjeanie I loved that peel! I gotta see if I can buy just the peel by itself! 😂🤔
The B&BW package really is pretty! I'm sure that was one of the main reasons I decided to buy it initially! 😆
No shame in loving the label @Shosh85 ! It’s how I pick out wine 95% of the time too 🤷🏻♀️
@lmaster These were both great masks! I think the peeling gel from the Pyunkang Yul mask was my favorite part! It really did peel up a bunch! 👍
Pearl powder extract AND hyaluronic acid? In a bio-cellulose sheet mask?!!! How did I not hear the B&BW Pearl Power mask screaming my name when it came out, @Shosh85?!!! That mask sounds amazing! I really hope B&BW brings back some of their sheet masks. I tell myself they are doing a seasonal rotation until they find out which ones they want to make permanent. I don't necessarily think that's the case but it keeps me hopeful that some of their good ones will come back forever and not just be a one season appearance.
