Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

Wednesday night's masking was about surprising masks, including a sample I thought would just be a sleeper 😉

Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack was part of a sampler set I picked up earlier in the year and it's the sleeper hit, and not just because its a sleeping mask. Ha! This one has a nice texture and consistency - not too thick, not too thin. I don't technically need another lip balm, but that probably is not going to stop me from picking this one up sometime this year. Another surprise hit for me has been these Shangpree Gold Black Pearl Eye Mask which work quite well on their own or under a sheet mask. I often forget to use an eye mask or put on eye gels like these; I dunno why that is the case, but it is. I'm hoping to do a better job at it over the next couple of months because these eye masks really do work nicely - it brightens and hydrates my under eye area and that's always welcome. 🙂 

Orgaid makes 3 sheet masks and I've had a set with all three for a while - a vitamin C mask, a yogurt nourishing mask and this one, the Orgaid Organic Sheet Mask Anti-Aging Moisturizing. To me, this one is unscented, a huge plus if your sensitive to fragrance and, in line with the brand's focus on natural and organic, this one has some nice ingredients, including aloe, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and green tea extract. After half an hour of wear time (10-20 minutes is recommended), my skin feels soft, refreshed, cool to the touch, but also tacky, and hydrated. Like other sheet masks, a little moisturizer after removing the mask is enough to make the tackiness a non-issue, but without the moisturizer (or something else following the mask), my skin does feel more tacky than it ordinarily does following a sheet mask. This one's not bad, but it's not my favorite of Orgaid's sheet masks; that would be the yogurt one, but this is still nice.

I don't know if there is a thing as too many lip masks/balms/glosses @itsfi 🙂 This brand sounds familiar and I'm not sure why...glad it was a hit though! I am looking forward to trying the yogurt mask, maybe for "Y" week.
