Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

You’re giving me the incentive to retry the mask @faeriegirl ! The first and last time I’ve tried it I used it as an overnight mask! 😂 I’m sorry about the awful smell that the serum and cream have, just like @eshoe  wrote, you might get used to the smell? I’m glad that you enjoyed the mask!

@faeriegirl I have this trio as well, and it's funny, the first 1-2 times I didn't like the smell, but I think I must've just got use to it or something because it doesn't bother me anymore. 🤷‍♀️ I'm with ya on the mask! That'll be a FS purchase for me too! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 👍

@faeriegirl @the first time I tried the mask it had such an off-smell I tossed it. It was awful! Then I ended up trying it again and loved it-the first sample must have been old😆 I wonder if that’s the scent you are referring to...

I spent yesterday morning at the Special Olympics and received a pretty nice sunburn on my face. I decided to use something with aloe in it. I used The Beauty Diary Aloe Vera mask. It was a little long at the chin. It was thin, but felt a little stiff. That totally could be because of my sunburn and not the masks fault.  It had plenty of watery serum, that I used the extra to wipe down my arms and décolletage. I was hoping for more of a gel like serum.   I’d rate it a B+

Tough to judge a mask when you're skin's in distress isn't it @emaisgr8 .  I agree with you that a thicker serum is often much nicer.  Hopefully your skin is feeling better after a few masks!

Too bad that the serum was watery instead of gel like @emaisgr8 . I’m almost sure that if it was like a gel you would be feeling better after your sunburn! Give your skin some TLC!

@emaisgr8 what a great way to spend your morning! Not so much the sun beating down on you, but still...that's awesome:) So far the Aloe Vera masks don't seem to be best performing ones out there. Hope your sunburn heals quickly!

@emaisgr8 I love using Aloe masks after being in the sun! I do feel like they are always better with the gel consistency – it's too bad this didn't have that, but it sounds pretty decent otherwise! In general, I've heard positive things about this brand – I've only tried one so far, but thought it was really great! 😃👍

Q is for sephora collection Quenching and replenishing aloe mask.

This one fit really well I left it on for 20 minutes and my face does feel hydrated and refreshed. It did leave my face feeling a bit sticky so I’m giving it a C.

@faeriegirl, sorry about the sticky feeling from the mask; I find that can be the case with a lot with masks with aloe in it.

I'm not fond of sticky,, unless I plan to use it as a primer for makeup,, which actually works pretty darn well @faeriegirl

yesterday morning I decided to try the broccoli plumping mask. it smells like broccoli lol not my favorite but oh well, better than medicinal bandaid smell 😅 this one was pretty saturated in serum and the fit was so so. I left it on for 20 minutes, and i literally had to peel it off my face it was so dry 😯 it didn't feel dry from the outside, so this was a painful shock to me. I didn't notice any tackiness, or much plumping. definitely didn't notice any added hydration from it either. I didn't really see any point to this mask. I do have another one, I may try soon and leave it on for 15 minutes and see if it dries down as quickly, but this one is a big Nope for me D it gets, not an F because the fit was not bad at all, just not great

Hmmm... Broccoli scented huh? @lmaster, I am pretty sure I wouldn't be a fan but at the same time I have to give kudos to the brand for matching the scent to the primary ingredient for the mask. I think I may have this mask in my stash and was saving it for veggies week.  Will have to take a look.
