Yeah, a communication gone wrong @lmaster! My fault. I should have been more clear, especially since it was busy in there and there were multiple conversations going on around me, but it was one of those things where it dawns on you that it might have been unclear just as you see more of your hair flying everywhere and onto the floor in that "oh nooooo...." slow motion frame you thought you only saw in the movies or TV shows. Ha! The main crux of it was that I asked for 2 inches off the length and face framing long layers beginning at around my jawline and then she said she didn't think 2 inches was enough (it would have been fine) and I said what about 3 inches and I should have said to cut an extra inch because she took it to mean an additional 3 inches (which ended up being a very generous additional 3 inches ... lol). She did give me long layers, but she also gave me long bangs (I didn't have bangs to begin with - hahaha!) My lesson learned. My hair does grow pretty quickly so the long bangs have grown almost to where I had wanted the long layers to start. It's all good. On the bright side, I can go longer without needing another hair cut. 😉
Oh wow @itsfi I mean what you are describing sounds super cute! But gosh I could imagine the feeling that you were experiencing!!
@lmaster You are a lovely peach! And yes, the chin area is where the fit was strange for me too.
It's just so flipping cute @PrettyPaint some masks make it hard to grade lower,, especially with this adorable image 😆
Wow, you're killing it as a peach @lmaster. Looking nice!
Biobelle's Peachy for mask meetup! As others have noted, the mask is made of botanic fiber. Overall, it was slightly thicker than I might prefer, so it didn't adhere quite as closely to my face as I would like. The mask is quite cute in appearance and made me smile. The fit was decent enough. It actually fit pretty well around the eye area (which is rare for me), although it was a bit large/long overall and didn't fit as closely as desired due to the thickness.
It is meant to replenish and hydrate, and it contains hyaluronic acid (which my skin tends to like). It states to leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Due to time, I only kept it on for 15 minutes. In the future, I would recommend leaving it on longer because it was still quite moist and could have used more time to soak in. There was lots of extra serum remaining in the packaging; I used this to rub into my neck, etc. It smells like peaches (not surprisingly), and the scent was pleasant for me and not too strong.
After removing, my skin still had lots of the serum sitting on it, and it actually took a couple of hours to soak completely in. There was a bit of noticeable tackiness, but it wasn't too bothersome or sticky. My face did feel nicely moisturized the the rest of the day, so I feel it did a very nice job hydrating as claimed. Overall, I would use it again and would probably rate it as a A- or B+ (pros: moisturizing, lots of serum, fun; cons: fit a bit off and slightly tackier than I prefer).
Great review, @PrettyPaint! Overall, this sounds like a nice one!
Thanks @quspork. I definitely enjoyed it, and I love mask meetups. So fun doing the same mask at the same time as others 🙂
@PrettyPaint you took such great care to describe the mask! Seemed like we all wish it would have adhered better. I agree about the tack, after 15 minutes I have to add some moisturizer so I no longer feel it. It sets the tone for the whole night!
@eshoe Yes, I thought the tackiness was definitely noticeable. I had so much excess serum on my face that it may have been part of the reason! 🙂
@PrettyPaint Sounds like overall it was a nice mask for you! I wasn't crazy about the material, but I agree it did turn out pretty decent and smelled nice! 😉
@Shosh85 I agree that the material wasn't the best for me either!
@PrettyPaint - wow, it took a couple of hours for the serum to soak in? Would you say that is because there's so much of the serum or because the serum was thick?
@nuinui933 Probably because there was so much serum. I applied the excess, so I put a bunch on! 🙂
I loved that this mask smelled like peaches @PrettyPaint, but I did pick up some very slight floral notes to it too. And that it was hydrating; this one should be really good for my skin come winter. 🙂
@itsfi Yes, I do recall some floral notes as well, but I wasn't totally sure how to describe it. This one will definitely be a good one for cooler weather for me as well! Glad you found it hydrating too.
I’m the same way @PrettyPaint. Floral scents fall in 3 categories for me - rose scent, white floral scent, and floral-y. Hahaha! 😂
@itsfi Oh thank goodness. This makes me feel better, though it's even more complex than I can describe floral. I would probably not be the best floral fragrance reviewer. 🙂
