@Shosh85 Haha I think that’s why I like it too 😁
@lmaster Yeah, probably not a mask for you... or anyone sensitive to alcohol. I don't seem to be sensitive at all, but I do try and space out when I use them. 😉
F is for fruit again, but this time, it's all about strawberries!!
Narikiri Face Pack – My Melody is part of a pack containing 2 sheet masks – this strawberry one and a yogurt sheet mask. I was hoping that this sheet mask would smell of strawberries, but it did not. It had a subtle clean scent which I’m happy with – definitely beats a bad smelling mask. Besides, I had the yummy scent from The Crème Shop My Melody Handy Dandy Cream – Strawberry Cake, a gift from the thoughtful @faeriegirl – thank you! 🙂 This smells so good. It makes me hungry for strawberry shortcake. Probably not the best choice for breakfast so I may have to see if anyone wants to take a dessert break with me later this afternoon.
Back to the sheet mask, in terms of fit, length and width are not bad, just a smidge too long and wide. The eye and mouth holes are too small for my features and the nose bridge is really wide. I didn’t make any adjustments to keep the mask intact so you could see the design on it. The results from the mask are nice – lightly hydrating and my complexion looked fresh and a bit brighter. I’d say this is a mask that would work well for most of the year for those with normal, combo or oily skin. For those with dry or dehydrated skin, it might not offer enough hydration on its own to dry or dehydrated skin types in the fall and winter, but could be a good one to reach for in the warmer months. I also think it would be nice as a morning mask.
After the essence from the sheet mask was fully absorbed into my skin (it didn’t take long), I reached for the Bybi 100% Cold Pressed Strawberry Seed Oil, which I had purchased a few months ago. I had walked into a nearby boutique that specializes in clean beauty products, without any intention of getting an oil. I actually went in to buy one of the Bawdy butt masks for the meet up earlier in the year. This beauty was on display next to the basket with the bum masks so I picked up the tester to see how it smelled and oh my goodness! it smelled amazing!!! I couldn’t stop smelling my hand as I was walking around the store so I had to take it home with me. Other than the delicious strawberry scent, this oil makes my skin feel soft, hydrated and nourished. I alternate using this one and the Farmacy Honey Glow Oil in the mornings, but as I am typing out this post, I’m wondering how they would perform (and smell really) if I combined the two oils – the thought of a strawberry honey scented oil sounds divine, doesn’t it? Okay, that just got put on the top of my to do list. 😉
@itsfi - what a cute mask! I see these in the store and always wonder if they are any good. Sounds like they are worth checking out at least.
Agree @nuinui933; the design on these is pretty cute. 😃 The masks themselves are pretty good too.
1. Dessert is good to eat anytime
2. The mask is adorable
3. Can't wait to hear how the old mixing smells and works
Thanks for the review @itsfi
@ShortErica - I'm all for your first point. lol.
The mask design is very cute @ShortErica! I wonder what the yogurt mask that came with this one will look like.
Ok this masking session was just too sweet @itsfi! I noticed the mask first, adorable 🙂
The BYBI Strawberry booster sounds absolutely lovely and somehow I've already found it online, huh. I wonder if you mixed the two (with the Farmacy as you mentioned) how it would stack up against the Volition Strawberry serum. I think @faeriegirl has tried that - does it have a scent?
@eshoe, I have a DS of the Volition strawberry serum, but I don’t think that contains honey in it so not sure if that would be comparable to the blend of BYBI strawberry and Farmacy honey oils. @faeriegirl
That’s great that you found the BYBI booster online. Are you thinking about picking it up?
I am, @itsfi. It’s on revolve’s site, I’ve never ordered from them before but they’ve been around a little while I believe. Also found the brand’s site, will have a looksie after the morning activities. Time for a bakery grand opening 🧁🍪🍞😋
@eshoe It smelled like cucumber instead of strawberry. I really liked it at first but about halfway through the bottle it started smelling nasty.
Oh no @faeriegirl not at all what I was hoping to hear:/
It’s a nice one @mrsmouse! Wore well, good results and yes, the design on this one is very cute. 😊
@itsfi That is an adorable mask, and that strawberry booster oil sounds absolutely lovely 💗
Agreed! That oil- I can smell it from here @PrettyPaint @itsfi
The strawberry booster oil is good @PrettyPaint! Glad I found it. 🙂
Thanks @lmaster! 🙂 The oil is a good one; I think you'd love the scent.
