Hello lovely masking mavens! Please continue posting on the Q4 Thread which can be found here:

Spoiler

Many thanks to the wonderful @Aaliaa for beginning this thread and excited you are here.

To Post:

Spoiler
Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Most importantly, have fun and merry masking!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

This sounds nice, @Shosh85 plus the little chick on the front is so cute!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@quspork The little chick is what lured me in in the first place! It's always nice when the mask turns out great too 😉🐥

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85  Awww this looks so cute! Glad to hear the results were good too!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@PrettyPaint It was a great mask and the cute packaging is a nice bonus 😃

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85, the packaging on this one is so adorable! I'm happy to hear that the results were good too. I feel like the more sheet masks I try, the more discerning I am about which ones I'd actually go out of my way to find and purchase/repurchase. 😉 It's nice to know though that there are a lot of variety of great masks out there.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi It's a great mask and loved the results, but I think if the scent was just a bit more exciting, It'd definitely be a mask I'd rush to buy more of. 😃

2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

E is for Essential oils this was gifted to me by the super sweet @missjeanie thank you so much!! scent was pleasant not strong at all, just a typical light sheet mask scent. medium thickness, adequate serum, fit would of been great, but those darn thicker masks seem to not want to stay put in my chin area 😂 kept it on for 20 minutes, my face was much brighter and moisturized. definitely took the redness away, which I greatly appreciate 😊 I did enjoy this mask and it is a great mask, I just tend to purchase one that I know are thinner in material. or I probably should venture out into the sniping world 😆 the serum is excellent! and I did slather my face again with it 😉 would I seek it out, personally no, only because right now I just don't have the time to do those kind of adjustments to the mask. But it is a solid A despite thickness

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Wow I am with everyone else here, @lmaster  - that limited ingredient list is mighty attractive! As is the ascorbic acid and aloe.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@eshoe totally agree!! I found a pair of small medical scissors,, I'm going to start to just snip at thicker masks before when applying them to see if that does help me

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster Good to know I'll need my scissors near by !  I'm with @itsfi , I think I liked the shorter ingredient list on this one, it's something I like when I see it.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@missjeanie I think what I'm going to do is automatically cut these thicker sheets before even applying them on my face, to see if I have a better experience with them, I love love the ingredients

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Looks like a good one! @lmaster. How nice that it helped to reduce redness.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@PrettyPaint it was an awesome mask!!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster, I'm diggin' the shorter ingredients list on this mask. Great to hear that it worked out well for you despite the thickness. 🙂

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@itsfi the serum is amazing!! They need to do away with all the thicker sheets!!

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster, sometimes these brands really just need to bottle the serum in these sheet masks. 🙂

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Agree!!! @itsfi just call it an essence. 😊

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@lmaster I prefer the thinner masks too, but I'm happy to hear this turned out so well despite that! 😃

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

@Shosh85 if I see they are thick, I should just go ahead and snip it lol

Update on Foot Peeling Shoes by TONYMOLY @RGbrown @Weetart @divaknits

2019-07-29_14-14-43.jpg

Tagging few people who were interested in the review.

I kept it on for 2-2.25 hrs. Washed my feet afterwards, put on some moisturizer (you are not supposed to do that, I didn't know and didn't see anything in the instructions). Put on some socks, felt bit of heat (probably from all the acids working)

Nothing for about 6-7 days. Then after that I took a very long shower that day and when I came out, saw skin bubbling up on both feet.

Lots and lots of peeling for next 5-6 days. I slathered Aveeno lotion and kepts socks on.

At this point I was super worried rather paranoid about providing feast for all the dust mites on the carpet and bed sheets so kept socks on the whole time and man !! it is hot here, took socks off only for sleeping. Changed bed sheet every 2-3 days and vacuumed the heck of of bedroom, changed and washed socks everyday or twice a day.

How have other people done it and found solution for peeling skin, feeding dust-mites and worsening allergies ?

Results - Pretty nice, soft and pink upper feet and all of bottom feet except for heels. did not see much peeling in the heels and still rough cracked skin there (whole reason I braved this foot mask was to get the soft the heels).  Very minimal (dust like) peeling in the heels.

Will I do it again : Probably stick with my Amope Pedi Perfect heel scrubber/ scrapper. Also, I might try the sample of acid peels that I get (and wouldn't use on my face) on my feet for gentler exfoliation. I can wear those gel socks (on amazon) after applying the peel liquid to reduce the risk of wiping it all on socks. Combination of above two will probably give me the same results this foot mask but without all the crazy peeling.

If this trick doesn't work and I do muster courage to try foot peel again, I will definitely do it in Mar-Apr so that keeping socks on the whole time will not be so terrible without all the heat.

What's not to do/ to-do: I read instructions on the web after not seeing any peeling for 6 days, you need to -

Not use any lotion

Soak the feet everyday for 10 min or longer

Maybe my results (on the heel) would have been different if I did the above two steps.

Re: 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge!

Thanks for the review @naturalooks15 . I have a different foot mask from Bath and Body Works that’s supposed to do the same thing. I can’t imagine not using lotion on my feet. My feet are DRY! And all that shedding. 🤔 I’ll use it when I feel I can wrap my head around all the steps.
