@PrettyPaint I really like the Sand & Sky mask as well. I dont mind the hard dry down and like how its an easy wash off. Definitely leaves my face feeling clean and soft too.
Glad to hear you are a fan too @GalPalVal17. I agree that it's really easy to wash off, especially for a clay mask. That's definitely a plus! 🙂
I haven't tried this Sand & Sky one yet @PrettyPaint , but I really liked the scrubby one and after hearing your review, I'll be ready to try this one! And I just got that birthday cake mask from @lmaster in Unicorn Mail!!
@missjeanie I think you would love the sand and sky clay mask, I think it smells so good actually
@missjeanie Oh, I haven't tried the scrubby one! I'll need to check it out if you like it. I'd love to hear what you think of the birthday cake mask. I seriously still am craving birthday cake now after using it.
Oh I'll have to try it this week @PrettyPaint ! I kinda wish I had it with me right now!
I have the sand and sky mask on order, @PrettyPaint ! Can't wait to try it.
@l8totheparty I really hope you like it! Can't wait to hear your thoughts! 🙂
Glad you like it too @lmaster. My nose tends to detect random things, so I will definitely see if I can notice a fruit smell next time I use it!
I still need to try something from Sand & Sky, @PrettyPaint - the consensus is pretty positive on the brand in general. The I Dew Care is cute! I especially like their mask brush, makes application soooooo much easier than using my fingertips!
@eshoe I definitely recommend the pink clay one for anyone that needs to clean out their pores. I just looked up the mask brush. It looks great, and easy to clean because it’s silicone. Thanks for mentioning this. I will probably add it to my ulta cart next time I need to meet a free ship minimum.
It is SO easy to clean, @PrettyPaint. I can’t imagine masking without it now!
@PrettyPaint Even though I have dry skin, I enjoy using the Sand & Sky mask - I love the cleaning and brightening power it has! I'm happy it worked so well for you!
I feel like a lot of I Dew Care products are more fun than they are effective. This one definitely sounds fun with the rainbow sprinkles and nice scent! 😃
@Shosh85 Glad you like the Sand & Sky too! I was surprised at how much yuckiness I had in my pores, so I'd say it definitely works. The "I Dew Care" was definitely fun, though now I'm wanting to eat some cake!
Week 30 - Jul 22 - 28 - D - Weird Masks
So @Shosh85 did the 23 years Cocoon Willow (I did this one during W week!) and wanted to do another 23 years mask with no mouth hole. We both had the rosegold one though I noticed our packages are different. Shout out to @eshoe for sending me both 23 years mask. They are definitely an experience.
My face:
Upon opening the package I immediately recognized the scent. Brain: what is it what is it?! Luckily it didn't take long for me to figure it out. Anyone remember that goat milk lotion they had at Cracker Barrel in the 90s and early 00s (I don't know if it is still a thing). This smelled exactly like the one in rose. Maybe @lmaster and @faeriegirl should try this mask for the smell alone. 😉
Anyway, this is one of the thicker masks I've tried. Though from the pictures it seems more transparent than the cocoon willow. I also wasn't able to smoosh it under my chin as easily.
I wore it for just under 40 minutes. My chin area was still sopping wet. Forgot to mention the mask was dripping out of the package. The forehead and nose were getting drier though but still moist when I removed. I folded it in half and placed it on my neck as has become my norm. After that it was still very wet so I rubbed the mask up and down my arms and legs.
It is supposed to help with dryness but since my skin wasn't really dry I don't feel I can rate that. I think my face looked a little plumper. This morning I put the little bit of extra serum on my hands and face.
Grade: B-. Honestly the mouth hole thing doesn't bother me too much since even with masks with mouth holes I try to avoid talking so I don't disturb the mask. The smell lingered while wearing and although the smell was pleasant I worry about that much fragrance on my face. The frustrating part was not being able to tuck the chin correctly and it did drip down my neck while wearing.
I think @Shosh85 had a comment that it is worth a try like the butt masks and I agree. Though I would personally opt for the cocoon willow over the rosegold. Though I probably should verify that by looking at my old review first since I don't recall how cocoon willow smelled. I do remember having dry skin while wearing the cocoon willow and liked that it covered the entire mouth area to help heal my skin. Maybe different circumstances are impacting my opinion. Either way, fun weird mask!
Lol... @ShortErica I just adore your photos! Something about the no mouth makes me squirmy. I believe I have one from @itsfi to try out, will keep a towel handy in case of drips!
Definitely give it a try @missjeanie. I think no mouth hole works well if you have dryness around your mouth which I get (especially the philtrum area) after a cold. Also I think @Shosh85 cut her own hole to breathe better.
@ShortErica @missjeanie Yeah, with one of them I ended up having to talk a lot and it's challenging to do with there's a mask covering your mouth 😂 I made myself a breathing hole 😉
I’ve never tried a mask without a mouth hole before @ShortErica . Might help those mouth hole issues I seem to have with nearly every mask I have tried so far.
