@lmaster The results were wonderful and I especially loved the brightening effect! 😃
Some "D" Masks I just used this week!
First off, we have Sand & Sky's Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask (so "D" isn't in the name, but it's meant to Detoxify and Brighten). It's supposed to clean out pores and help with blemishes and oiliness. You leave it on for about 10 minutes (I got distracted and left on for 15) and then wash off with warm water. It's hard for me to describe the scent, but I could smell clay (haha) and witch hazel mostly, so the scent isn't enjoyable exactly but it's pleasant. There's definitely a tightening feeling. It applies pink, but it turns whitish as the clay dries down (and it completely dries down to where you can see cracks). I really like this mask because I can actually see the results. My skin looked much smoother after removing it, and I could visibly see it cleaning out my pores. Again, you can definitely feel tightness while wearing it, so it may be slightly uncomfortable if you have extremely sensitive skin. I probably wouldn't be able to use this much in the winter, but it works great during the summer when my skin is more oily. Based on the results and cleaning of pores, this is an A for me and I would repurchase.
Ingredients:
The next mask is I Dew Care Cake My Day Hydrating Sprinkle Wash-Off Mask. I think I must have received this one in an ulta sample bag at some point. The actual mask is quite pretty - there are rainbow sprinkles in it, and the main ingredients are hyalouronic acid, squalane, and glacier water. You keep it on for about 5-10 minutes (I did around 10). It stays creamy the whole time. Then you wash it off with water while massaging in the sprinkles. It smells very good (like birthday cake), though the scent isn't very strong. It was enjoyable to use, though I didn't see any huge results. My skin was maybe slightly more moisturized, but it seemed fairly temporary, so I wouldn't say it's quite as hydrating as I might like. I didn't experience any sensitivity, though, so that's always a plus. It's a fun one, but the results weren't amazing so I would probably give it a B/B-.
Ingredients:
SAND & SKY - Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask
@PrettyPaint I really like the Sand & Sky mask as well. I dont mind the hard dry down and like how its an easy wash off. Definitely leaves my face feeling clean and soft too.
Glad to hear you are a fan too @GalPalVal17. I agree that it's really easy to wash off, especially for a clay mask. That's definitely a plus! 🙂
I haven't tried this Sand & Sky one yet @PrettyPaint , but I really liked the scrubby one and after hearing your review, I'll be ready to try this one! And I just got that birthday cake mask from @lmaster in Unicorn Mail!!
@missjeanie I think you would love the sand and sky clay mask, I think it smells so good actually
@missjeanie Oh, I haven't tried the scrubby one! I'll need to check it out if you like it. I'd love to hear what you think of the birthday cake mask. I seriously still am craving birthday cake now after using it.
Oh I'll have to try it this week @PrettyPaint ! I kinda wish I had it with me right now!
I have the sand and sky mask on order, @PrettyPaint ! Can't wait to try it.
@l8totheparty I really hope you like it! Can't wait to hear your thoughts! 🙂
Glad you like it too @lmaster. My nose tends to detect random things, so I will definitely see if I can notice a fruit smell next time I use it!
I still need to try something from Sand & Sky, @PrettyPaint - the consensus is pretty positive on the brand in general. The I Dew Care is cute! I especially like their mask brush, makes application soooooo much easier than using my fingertips!
@eshoe I definitely recommend the pink clay one for anyone that needs to clean out their pores. I just looked up the mask brush. It looks great, and easy to clean because it’s silicone. Thanks for mentioning this. I will probably add it to my ulta cart next time I need to meet a free ship minimum.
It is SO easy to clean, @PrettyPaint. I can’t imagine masking without it now!
@PrettyPaint Even though I have dry skin, I enjoy using the Sand & Sky mask - I love the cleaning and brightening power it has! I'm happy it worked so well for you!
I feel like a lot of I Dew Care products are more fun than they are effective. This one definitely sounds fun with the rainbow sprinkles and nice scent! 😃
@Shosh85 Glad you like the Sand & Sky too! I was surprised at how much yuckiness I had in my pores, so I'd say it definitely works. The "I Dew Care" was definitely fun, though now I'm wanting to eat some cake!
