Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

Oh I love snail mucin products, glad to hear others love them too. I have a few different types of products I keep around. In the winter they become a heavy part of my routine. @itsfi

Hahaha! 😆 Oh @quspork!! I have to confess that when @missjeanie first mentioned these, I kept thinking “why is she talking about snail mucin 🐌🐌  when it’s a collagen mask?” Then I too saw the cute little snail illustration. 🐌  So I’ll also smack my palm to my forehead - 🤦🏻‍♀️

This looks really great @itsfi. I actually have been meaning to post about the yadah collagen mask you sent me. It seems like yadah has two collagen masks, huh? I will have to compare the ingredients to figure out what the differences are.

@PrettyPaint, the Yadah collagen masks are from different lines. I think but am not sure that this one has snail mucin but the other one, the one in the purple package does not. I’m not 100% certain about that though.

@itsfi  Yup, like @ShortErica said below, it looks like the purple version has "snail secretion filtrate" listed as an ingredient but not the mucin. I'm curious now and will try to figure out what the difference is because I have no idea! 🙂

@itsfi @PrettyPaint the purple one has Snail Secretion Filtrate but no snail mucin. I assume there is a difference so please enlighten me about it. 😁 If I recall correctly the purple package had the edge for me because of a slightly better fit and slightly less smell.

@ShortErica  @itsfi  Hmmm...from what I can tell, snail secretion filtrate is also known as snail mucin. It looks like the snail mucin is usually processed into a filtrate. The "snail secretion filtrate" may just be the more official cosmetic ingredient name for snail mucin/extract. So I think it's all basically just snail slime 🙂

Yaaay @mrsmouse, another TeamSnail 🐌 masker. 😃💗 I have enough masks that I don’t need to use a pack designed or marketed for daily masking. Lol! These ones will have more serum in them. I’ll definitely keep folks posted about daily masking with these. I’m a little more than halfway through the daily mask pack I have; after that, I’ll give my skin a little break from masking everyday and then I’ll try these out.

Id lové to see what failing masking with this one would look like @itsfi ! To me it’s exactly as you described. Great value for the price, and so easy to throw on without thinking about!

@missjeanie, I feel like these types of masks would be perfect for daily masking. It’s mindless masking BUT with confidence that the results are going to be something your skin will be happy with. 👍🏼😃

@itsfi I really liked that Yadah too! (but really anything with snail is fine by me)  Id be very interested to know how it does with consistent use! I have a bunch of these to use up as well, so I'm really considering copying your idea 💡 😉👍

Oooh, do it @Shosh85! 🐌 Daily masking definitely has its pros and cons. I figure I have plenty of filler masks or masks that are good but not necessarily great that I could use everyday and that would be economical to do so. It seems like consistent use of the serum in this one would be really good. If you end up daily masking with these or other masks you have, I’d love to know how that works for you.

hahaha @eshoe! These are decent masks and I picked up quite a few to gift to friends and friends-of-friends with whom I've been trying to cultivate a love for masking. LOL! 🙂
