Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe
Remove clay/difficult masks in the shower to keep towel clean and removal easy	itsfi/BIC

@ShortErica  Swedish berries were the fragrance of 1980s/90s candy grab bags from the corner store. Their “subtle” bouquet permeated evvverything 😉

@PinkEvergreen  Yes!  It’s also the scent of the blackberry Laduree perfume.  Gotta love smelling like a candy store!

I feel like I missed candy grab bags @PinkEvergreen. I remember my nose being filled with candy perfume smells though. Was it Juice Bar?

I had another night of ambitious masking. Seems like I can rarely use just one or two. 😄My husband cracked up.

Y is for “You’ve gotta be kidding me, Babe.” The reason will be clear shortly. 

Sephora Pearl Eye Mask - This was supposed to be for perfecting and brightening. I left this on for about 20 minutes and the serum was GONE! What the... Nothing to massage in - just dry. I don’t like that, especially in an under eye mask. Maybe I left it on too long? Whatever it was, I probably won’t get these again. I have other SC eye masks. I won’t leave them on as long. This gets a D. 

Hydrating Gel Lip Mask With Cherry - I hated this mask, and I picked up a second by accident. It kept slipping off my lips. I don’t know how they expected it to stay on. Won’t be getting another of these either. Another D. 

The final two masks feature a guest appearance by my husband. Keep in mind that he’s easily entertained.

Refreshing Panda Face Sheet Mask With Apple - I liked this mask. It had lots of serum and it smelled good. Fresh. And it had a panda face. What’s not to love? My husband found this hilarious. As soon as I walked downstairs he cracked up. But as I was finishing up about 30 minutes later, he asked me how long I was keeping it on. Then he asked if he could take it off. I said ok. He did and then he massaged the serum into my face. Sweet! He said my face looked smoother. He’s never seen me mask before. I started while he was out of town. I love a facial massage! I need to mask in front of him more often. The mask plus the massage gets an A+.

Finally we have Bawdy Slap It, brought to you by the letter Y and my nutso hubby. I had him help me put this on. 🥶 OMGoodness! And he slaps me on my assets. He kept smoothing it out. Here was the conversation that follows.
Me: You’ve gotta be kidding me, Babe!
Hubby: Well, it says ‘slap it.’
Me: Really?!
So I lay there for about 15 minutes. 
Hubby: How long are you keeping that booty mask on?
Me: I’m about to take it off. 
Hubby: I’ll do it. 
(Slap!)
Me: Are you kidding me?!
Hubby: *much laughter*
He rubbed the serum in.
Me: How does it look?
Hubby: Moist. 
Me: Does it look brighter?
Hubby: Yep. 

So there you have it. I have a moist, bright butt. 🤣 I won’t buy this again because of the cost, but it gets an A for being thoroughly entertaining. I can’t wait to try the other three. I’ll spread them out though because I wouldn’t want my husband to get bored with them. He loves to help apparently. I’ll have to get him to mask with me.

Well the lip and eye masks sound like busts @divaknits...but the other two sound great, especially the panda mask! Did it have an apple scent? I've only tried one other mask with an apple scent (the Hello Kitty one) and it was soon refreshing.

The Bawdy mask, worth every penny for the laughs but I agree - as a 'mask' it's pretty passable. But definitely fun 😉 What a great helper you have, ha!

The panda mask has a fresh smell, but it didn’t quite smell like apples to me @eshoe. I was distracted by my husband’s laughter to remember anything besides that it smelled good. I want some more of these. Unfortunately, my local source won’t be selling these anymore so I’ll have to look elsewhere.

I think he's awesome, but I'm a bit biased. If I ever have extra money I'll buy Slap It for him to try @PrettyPaint . I just told him what you said and he laughed. He always thinks it's funny when I mention him in the BIC. He's been pictured twice (on the 100 Days of Lipstick thread and an engagement thread), and now I'm on a mission to post a picture of him here masking with me. We'll see. 🙂
