Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

@eshoe  Not gonna lie - I was scared lol 😂 I forced my husband to do it with me at the same time, though, so we’d both be suffering if something went wrong lol 😄 But it went well and I’d definitely do it again — just not at that price point, if I can avoid it.

@eshoe  Haha, I’m not sure if men consider it much of a gift 😂  If you do it, make sure you can sit him in front of a big game or the Xbox for two hours. Walking around in those sloshing booties is a no-go 😏

@ShortErica  I honestly thought my feet would go back to being scratchy within a week because I’m forever walking around without socks or slippers. But they’re so smooth I can’t get over it!

@PinkEvergreen, I don't think I've tried the boscia foot peel before. Foot peels vary in price range and it's great that there are less expensive alternatives out there! Love the idea of using the pore cleansing pad to help slough off the dead skin on your feet. I may have to look into picking one up just for that purpose! 🙂

@itsfi  I’ve now accumulated four Sephora scrubbing pads. They’re inexpensive, super gentle, very compact, versatile, and very durable. I have yet to wear one out. They even work nicely as a brush cleaner when I’m travelling 😊

X is for x-tra tlc. I felt a bit ambitious, so it was a four-mask night.

MegRhythm Gentle Steam Eye Mask - This was gifted to me by sweet @Weetart. It smells like lavender and it heats up. What’s not to like? I’ve stalked these on Amazon. I will have more eventually. This mask gets an A+. I was totally relaxed after this, but I wasn’t done. 

Sephora Coconut Hair Sleeping Mask - It was supposed to be nourishing and repairing. My hair looked good after sleeping in this. It soaked up all of the cream and was soft. I put some curl cream in my hair after I rinsed the mask out of my hair. My curls were curly. That’s all I need to see. If I can find this again, I may buy some to use when I want a hair mask to sleep in. Because I didn’t wake up with Q-Tip hair, it gets an A. 

Sephora Orchid Face Mask - The mask itself was okay. My face felt soft afterwards. It was supposed to be anti-aging and smoothing. I assume it would take more than one use to see results. I won’t be using this one again if I can help it. The smell...oh my lawd! So overpowering! And at the spot where the mouth part of the mask slightly hit my upper lip (all the Sephora masks I’ve done so far fit me like this) burned after about 20 minutes. What?! Oh no you didn’t! This had to go! This mask gets a D and that’s only because my face felt soft. 

Sephora Argan Hand Mask - This mask felt good on my hands. It’s supposed to be anti-aging and evenness. Again, I think more than one session would be needed to see results. My hands felt soft and moisturized. I actually got mad when I had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and washed my hands. I figured my hands would get dry after they got wet, but they didn’t. They stayed moisturized. This mask gets an A.

Love that the overachieving worked out for you @divaknits , but hate that the SC mask was a D grade.  I tried a few older ones a few months ago and was pretty disappointed as well.  I'm hoping the newer ones are better.

I liked the hair mask quite a bit @faeriegirl. I think that may have been the second one I’ve tried, but the other was a long time ago. I’m pretty sure I liked that one too, although I don’t know why I didn’t buy it again. I don’t think you can buy it anymore.

It’s definitely not one I’d recommend for sensitive noses @lmaster . What I don’t understand is why it affected my lip and not the rest of my face. 🤔

Excellent blend of masks, @divaknits! I think someone else here has had a not-so-pleasant experience with one of the Orchid face masks. Did you check the expiration date? It may have been past its prime. Sorry it was a bust but it sounds like everything else was lovely!

I didn’t check the expiration date @eshoe . It may very well have been old. It was one of my older masks. Everything else was fire!
