Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

@ShortErica It seems odd that you were able to try the Bite before without a reaction – did you use it several times? I feel like if it was an allergic reaction it would've already happened with your previous uses.🤔

I am also super curious how many uses you get out of that Laneige... I have a FS and 3 minis to get through, so I think I might have enough to last me til I die 😂

Last year I used an entire mini of the Bite lip mask and don't believe I had any issues. So I thought it was super strange too @Shosh85. I know you can develop allergies over time but this seem quite extreme. I used the Bite lip mask on and off during the earlier part of the year. I was also trying to use other lip products for color (two of which were Bite) as part of my project pan. I have used Glace since the lip craziness. I felt like I got some flakes around my lip border but nothing like the reaction in February. I could easily attribute it to general lip dryness from wearing lipsticks that aren't the most moisturizing. So I'm just as confused as all of you.

I have the full and 3 minis of Laneige too (holiday kit?) and keep one mini at work. Hopefully I can finish one mini by the end of the year at least. *Crosses fingers*

@ShortErica For what it’s worth (everyone is different, of course), I can’t use my Bite lip masks consistently or I develop allergic reaction bumps on my lips that are painful. I can get away with one or two applications per month and that’s it. Anymore than that and it triggers the allergic reaction.

In 2017 I bought the holiday kit and loved the bite mask - that's why I bought the mask trio this past Christmas @lmaster. But when my lips went crazy, and I know others have had reactions, I'm now concerned I could be one of them. I so hope I'm not though cause I agree - Bite > Laneige.

They were constantly cracked and peeling @lmaster. The memory is now a bit foggy but I would have lots of dry skin around my lip border especially the bottom lip and the middle would have cracks.

For my face I've used the same lotions, sunscreen, and bareMinerals Original Loose Powder Mineral Foundation SPF 15 Fair Ivory 02so it's highly unlikely it was a non-lip product causing the reaction unless the combination of a face product and the Bite interacting could cause it.

Yep! That's why I'm so hesitant @lmaster but I have such amazing memories from last year. I may give it a try next week. I really hope it isn't the bite lip mask.

True @lmaster , last time I used original and this time was maple. But I do love that it smells like breakfast to me.

In the holiday kit it was original, maple, and candy cane. If maple fails I will try the original again to see if it would be just that flavor. Then venture to candy cane if that goes smoothly. Have they all worked the same for you @lmaster?

Love Candy Cane @lmaster !  Do you guys have permanent access to the maple now? I believe for a bit it was exclusive to Canada?

@ShortErica oh man... I'm hoping to use mine up faster than this! lol.  I don't mind this one, but I prefer the bite.  Have you had a reaction to lanolin before?  I think that's the bite ingredient that most people aren't good with.

I don't recall having a problem last year but this February my lips freaked out @missjeanie. I eventually just stopped using almost everything on my lips. Then I started the Laneige and have determined it isn't the problem. I've since used other lip products (lipsticks/lip crayons) but haven't had that reaction. When I've used the bite lipsticks my bottom lip does get dry and a bit flakey but nothing compared to the reaction.

Part of me wants to test because I did preferred Bite due to its lasting power but part of me is scared for my lips.

@ShortErica I'd test it out again, but I'd make sure I didn't have anything important coming up in the next week or two so that I'd have time to heal them should another reaction occur.

I don't know what happened to your bite maple mask, but I'm curious as to how many lip uses it takes to use the laneige...I have it and I think it will last for years lol.
