I haven’t tried this one @lmaster, it doesn’t sound very pleasant😬
@faeriegirl I'll say this,, it did detoxify if that helps any lol
@lmaster Oh no. The scent is usually pretty important to me and can make or break a mask. Okay we’re not having the best masking week are we? I’m glad the redness went away quickly though.
@heartsmyface I was more so expecting a typical sheet mask scent, not something that could literally be interpreted as algae 😂
Mmmm, algae. 😄 I thiiiiink I remember what algae smells like, and I think I like it, but maybe wouldn’t want that scent on my face. @lmaster
Idk @heartsmyface I don't know what algae smells like, but this scent, was gross 😂
Did my survey questions jinx us @heartsmyface @lmaster? I really hope we don't all have a bad mask week!
@lmaster thanks for the great review - it's always annoying when the mask smells bad - it's make it so much less relaxing!
I don't go typically smelling algae.... @Kim888 but I'd have to say,,, it could very well smell like this funk 😂
Masked with the Slice Strawberry sheet mask last night. I got this in Facetory. This is my first time using this brand and honestly I think it's impractical. Why would I only want part of my face to get the benefits of a sheet mask. I mean it's very cute but the pieces didn't stay on all that well and while it was fine for the areas that I put the patches on overall I was not left with particularly hydrated skin. I'd say a C.
@Kim888, I like the different ways the slices can be used but agree that it can be a bummer that they don't cover the entire face. I can see myself using these in the summer as part of multi-masking sesh, with a clay mask on my T-zone and a few slices on the drier parts of my face.
@Kim888 Yeah, I was confused when I first tried out these masks! Haha! Like @heartsmyface mentioned, I first learned these were made to cover dry patches, like on your elbows or knees. I feel like these are more of a "fun mask" to use. I just bought a bunch of these from TJ Maxx to bring to my teenage nieces birthday party. There's enough of them that they can take two packages and cover their entire face with them and even with two different flavors! Pineapple and strawberry sound good to me! Another thing @itsfi mentioned before, is you can use these and make you own layered mask like Tony Moly does. You can put these on, then place a mask of your liking or one that pairs well with the Slices on your face, or even get a blank sheet mask and make your serum. So many possibilities! 😉👍
@Shosh85 those will deff be fun for a teen birthday party! plus they can mix and match i'm sure they'll love it
I have a different flavour of this mask and I was wondering how to decide where it went on my face lol @Kim888
I definitely prefer the one piece masks too @Kim888😊
@Kim888 I find these fun for just messing around and find that the serum gets all over my face anyway but yeah, I prefer masks that cover your face without the gimmicks.
@Kim888 lol I think some people might enjoy it if they have combo skin, but yeah I would rather just use a whole sheet mask
@lmaster totally fair - I guess I hadn't put a lot of thought into it but when I saw people use it I thought there was an overlay mask and then it sounded great because you could put the patches where your face needed extra help but still have an overall mask. I do like the idea of different areas of the face getting different benefits but it seemed weird to just give some areas no benefit at all
I know the tonymoly ones come with a mask that goes over the slices, maybe next time if you find you have slices, no mask, grab a hydrating mask and plop it on top 😉 @Kim888
@Kim888 @Thé first I was ever exposed to these was through pure smile body patches. These fruit shaped patches weren’t originally meant to go all over your face but on dry patches on your body. (Knees, elbows)
