Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

Yes @lmaster!! I was hoping the PTR Thermal mask would warm up like the Farmacy one. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I got a dud with the Orchid mask. I think I have another one; I'll use it for "R" week - R for re-do. 😃

@itsfi I can't recall what orchids smell like, but this mask smelled like rose and lilac combined

That sounds lovely @lmaster! I have orchids but I don't think they smell like anything. I just assumed (maybe hoped?) that the orchid face mask would have a subtle floral-ish scent to it and it sounds like it does.

@itsfi Oooh, great masks! I need to try more Leaders from this line – this one sounds fantastic!

I still have sort of mixed feelings about the Honey Potion. I love the warming sensation and the awesome results, I'm just not so sure about the messy goopiness and stickiness of it. Being that the texture is the only thing holding be back, I'm sure I'll be buying the FS in the near future. 😂🤷‍♀️

@Shosh85, I don't know if they still do this but sometimes when Hautelook has a sale on Leaders products, they have a bundle/set with every mask in this particular line. 

For the Honey Potion, is the goopiness/stickiness from getting it out of the jar to your face? Or the massaging it into your skin? Or both? The full size has a spatula that would help with the first ; with the samples I use a spatula that came with a moisturizer or eye cream I've used up.

@itsfi I just not sure I Ike the stickiness on my face.... even though I put my hair back when I use it, I still get a bunch of strands that stick to it! That really is the only issue I have, but love everything else about it – So I'll most likely order the FS once I'm out of samples. 😂🍯

Yep, the oldies are still hits! Love 'em @eshoe! ❤️ I'm still trying to figure out what's a good ratio of tried-and-true masks and up-and-comers to use in a given week. My stash could easily get out of control with both. 😉

Funny you say that @itsfi. Yesterday I watched one of the Facetory videos, and they mentioned using no more than 3 function masks a week (brightening/detox/firming) and the remainder hydrating/moisturizing. I’ve never heard this, but this might help me when planning and introducing new masks🤔

That's interesting @eshoe. I don't know if I've thought about that breakdown before. I imagine hydrating masks make up 75-90% of my weekly masking, depending on the state of my skin and what I have going on that week, with the remainder being brightening and/or mud/exfoliating/detox masks. I sense an experiment in the works - a science project, if you will. ha! I'll try to be really good about keeping track of my mask usage for the next 4 weeks to see what my average/ratio is or hydrating vs. brightening vs. detox vs. anti-aging masks.

It kinda makes sense if you want to leave wiggle room for trying out new masks @itsfi. I don’t really pay much attention to what a mask claims to do, so it would be interesting to see what (if any) changes to my skin there would be if I was more intentional🤷🏻‍♀️

@eshoe, it seems like the longer I've been masking, the more intentional I am and the more attention I pay to a mask's claims & ingredients. 😊👍
