@cianni I'll have to try out this hair mask! I love the in shower ones, but haven't ventured to an overnight just yet! Thanks for the review!
@missjeanie I definitely love an overnight mask because I feel like the results are more noticeable, and I donโt always have enough time (unfortunately) to take a shower long enough for an in-shower mask ๐ฐ I definitely recommend the SC ones!
@cianni I still haven't tried the Sephora clay masks! I don't use a lot of clay/mud masks because of how dry my skin feels after โ but these sound so great! Love the clay masks that don't dry down hard! I'll definitely have to pick some up soon! Thanks for the detailed reviews! ๐๐ค
@Shosh85 yeah I totally agree! The only downfall is the fragrance, but Iโll take that over a super drying mask any day. For the price theyโre worth a try for sure!
@lmaster right!! I do have some bleached ends but it usually is WAY more subtle ๐ and I havenโt had curly hair like that since I was a little girl. So weird!! I felt like a lion hahahhaa
@cianni I actually like that wild look ๐ minus the filmy and super crunchy ๐๐
Yes, I can see the crunch @cianni ๐ Love those Sephora Clay masks, and that they donโt dry down is soooo nice. Thank you for the tip on using warm water, too-I did not know that!
@eshoe all my pro tips are the result of trial and (a lot of) error ๐
It will be a good one to share during Mask Hacks week @cianni ๐
Love how you multi-mask with the Sephora clay masks to tailor it to your skincare needs @cianni! ๐๐ The Sephora Collection Coconut Hair Mask is my favorite from the line! Love the coconut ๐ฅฅ and the rose ๐น hair masks!
@itsfi the rose does sound nice too!! as much as I do prefer sheet masks, sometimes my skin just doesnโt want to cooperate with itself hahah I need to keep some more customized skincare options in my routine as well ๐
Slowly catching up. Here are my Friday night and Saturday night masking sessions. Friday night was all about the letter โKโ and in last nightโs case, โKโ was for The Crรจme Shop Keroppi Sooper Soothe Sheet Mask and the Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack.
The Crรจme Shop Keroppi Sooper Soothe Sheet Mask is limited edition and noteworthy ingredients are rice water and green tea. The mask has a light clean scent that leans a little soap-ish; not full on soap but maybe that shower fresh clean scent. The mask claims to work at exfoliating, brightening, balancing and hydrating. @sonnydee used this mask earlier in the week and posted good feedback on it (see link - https://community.sephora.com/t5/Skincare-Aware/2019-Mask-of-the-Week-Challenge/m-p/4598314/highligh...). Iโm not sure whether all the maskโs claims were satisfied, but my skin felt soft, smooth, and hydrated. It looked brighter and refreshed, too. The results are really quite nice and Iโd give the mask an โAโ.
Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack is yet another lip product I own and itโs one I love, too! ๐ This one has a nice consistency to it โ if the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Balm is too thick and sticky for your liking and if the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is too tacky and not thick enough for you, then this Klavuu lip sleeping pack might be a great fit for you. Thereโs a picture of the Klavuu in the spoiler so you can see the texture of the balm. This was part of a sampler set I purchased at sokoglam dot com and I plan to pick up a full size.
Last nightโs masking choices also centered on the letter of the week and โKโ is for K-beauty and โKโ is for Klavuu, Dear, Klairs (both masks) and LaโDor Keratin Power Glue. And, spoiler!, after using all these items, these beauties are also all favorites!!
LaโDor Keratin Power Glue is a leave-in hair treatment that I apply after shampooing and towel drying my hair. Directions say that you can skip the conditioner and thatโs what I did. I usually let my hair air dry and did the same thing last night. I was a little nervous about something called โPower Glueโ but thereโs nothing sticky about this product. Itโs applies easily, has a nice, light scent that I canโt describe other than as subtle and pleasant โ itโs maybe a cross between something fresh, clean and ever so slightly sweet and floral. This works really well as a detangler and leaves my hair soft, silky and smooth without weighing it down. Itโs an โA / A+โ for me and it will definitely be a repurchase.
Dear, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask is a soft, 2-piece charcoal mask that leans on the thinner side and other than being too long at the chin, fits wonderfully. It has a very subtle herbal, but not medicinal, scent. This mask felt very comfortable on; directions suggest leaving the mask on for 15-20 minutes, but I kept it on for about 40 minutes and could have kept it on longer. Thereโs a bit of essence that needs to be pressed into the skin to help with absorption but it absorbs fairly quickly and thereโs just the slightest bit of tack to the touch. Some redness that I have on my cheeks seem to have decreased and calmed down, and my skin looks and feels brighter and more hydrated. I have a small pouch, my mini skincare emergency kit, where I include a few things I might need in a skincare emergency โ things like aloe, blemish drying item, calming/soothing moisturizer or sheet mask. I plan to repurchase a couple more of these sheet masks and keep one in my kit. Itโs an โA+โ mask.
Ingredients (Dear, Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask):
A few great K masks @itsfi ! And entry into your emergency kit is high praise indeed!
Awww thanks @missjeanie! ๐ฅฐ I try to keep it to minimum - just what I need in the kit in the event my skin freaks out or responds really badly to a mask or skincare product. Thereโs only a few masks in there and I *try* to go back and rotate items a couple of times every year so nothing expires.
@itsfi Great masks! I enjoyed the Keroppi mask as well. ๐ The little doodles on these masks are pretty cute! Glad you liked it!
I still haven't tried a Dear, Klairs mask yet, but this one sounds like one I need to try! Happy to hear you got such great results!
The little doodles are super cute @Shosh85! The sheet masks that came from The Creme Shop and Hello Kitty collab have been great! Dear, Klairs has some great skincare products; I think they only have 2 sheet masks but theyโre both really good. ๐๐ผ
Really interesting masking sessions, @itsfi - this was a great read; "K" turned out to be a really good week in terms of masks! The Keratin Power Glue would have scared me off by the name alone, but it sounds fantastic and very unique. Thank you for finding and sharing such fun products, you are a 5-star enabler ๐
I have a lot of sheet masks that fall in the Kbeauty category so it was both easy and difficult to pick masks for the letter โKโ; it was also nice to read about peopleโs favorites. @eshoe
I LOVE the idea of a skin emergency kit!! Thatโs such a smart idea - Iโm definitely going have to borrow it haha, @itsfi ยฉ ๐๐ that calming sheet mask sounds dreamy, itโs basically everything I could want in a skincare product!!
@cianni, if you put together an emergency skincare kit, Iโd love to know what you decide to keep in it. The idea for mine came about when I had an actual skincare emergency a couple of years ago (my face broke out in red splotches and hives) and I was tearing my drawers apart looking for various remedies to help. ๐๐ค๐ซ๐ This Klairs sheet mask is really nice - yesstyle dot com and roseroseshop dot com both carry the sheet mask and both deliver to Canada, but Iโm not sure which one has better rates for the product and for shipping.
