Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface

@lmaster, I really like that Leaders + Sephora hair mask combo. The Sephora hair mask is so convenient for travel as well. The coconut one and the rose one are my favorite from that line.

It's funny that the Mamonde mask smells like a dryer sheet – doesn't sound too bad, especially compared to some of the masks I've smelled before! 😂 

Glad you liked the Detox and Chill mask! I can always count on Leaders for great masks!

@lmasterI'm sure it wasn't the intent... but you've sold me on that Mamonde mask with the gain scent!  lol I love the scent of fresh laundry.  Am I the only one who smells at least 5 or 6 bottles before buying a new one?

I'm curious about the hair mask, did you wash your hair before or after the mask?

I needed some pore care so I reached for these. Started with the Ole sauna scrub which I've used a few times and just love the warm sensation of it. I like the Bare Minerals claymates duo masks as well because you get 2 in 1 so it makes it easy to multi masking. I used the pore cleansing mask on my t zone and jaw line since that is where I needed the most pore care and the hydrating masking on my cheeks. These 2 particular ones do dry down but don't tighten so it's not so uncomfortable for those that don't like the super tight dry down. Easy wash off. 

Then I went for the for my multi masking sheet mask/eye mask. I didn't like the Burts Bees eye mask for the sake of the scent. It was very strong for me and not so pleasant of a scent. Thank goodness the sheet mask didn't have a scent so when I layered it, it completely masked the eye mask scent. However, when I removed it, I could still smell the eye mask scent. So that one is a no repurchase for me, at least that particular one. I don't know if others from Burts Bees have a strong, long lasting scent as well.

I continued with pore care and went for the Tony Moly set. I've tried many of their other sheet mask but not this one nor the eye masks before. This sheet mask in particular was fine. Wish it smelled like wine 😉 but it didnt. not much of a scent. Fit was ok. Gel mask were fine too. I wore them long enough were it all absorbed and my face felt hydrate enough but not tacky. I didn't put any moisturizer on at night but partly because I also forgot to.

Thank you for your thoughts on the bareMinerals mask duo @GalPalVal17! I saw the mask in Ulta the other day and wondered about it. Will put it on my list to revisit once I have gone through more of my masks.

There is another clay mates duo mask from Bareminerals "be bright/be firm" and the firm one on that set does dry down quite a bit and tighten. Still easy to wash off. I don't mind it but just an fyi if you dont like that kind.

@byme4u I've had lots of success with Ole products. The Sauna scrub is great esp for the warming feeling, I like using the Walnut scrub along with the foam cleanser for a gentler exfoliation (as opposed to just the walnut scrub alone), and Love the Cold Plunge mask for the cooling sensation. Many other products Ole I love as well. 🙂

When I first started using sheet masks I finished with a sheet mask @GalPalVal17, nothing more. I had no idea it wasn’t the last step😄 The Tony Moly Eye Gels look like something fun to try!

@eshoe Well, since I still feel kinda newer to the masking but quickly learning from this group, I didnt realize you can do so much more than just use a sheet mask. I thought it was just a sheet mask and nothing more but boy was I wrong. Of course for a simple night a sheet mask will do, but it's so much fun doing a whole routine for your face and learning all the different products.

I have that INSbyN sheet mask and need to use it soon – how did you like it? That's good to hear it doesn't have a scent. 

I tried the Burt's Bees eye mask a while back and I don't remember what it smelled like, but I do remember not liking the scent either.😉

@Shosh85 yeah I couldn't really pin point the scent, probably one I just didn't recognize but just wasn't very pleasant. As for the sheet mask, it was fine. Nice and calming on the skin, fit was typical, a lil tacky but put some moisturizer on after.
