Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni

I found myself with a bit of extra time this evening so I went for a bit more masking than normal.

This morning I used the Skyn Iceland Eye Gels that @eshoe sent me and I was so happy they didn't sting at all!  These threw me for a bit of a loop sine they weren't exactly the type of gel I was expecting.  They felt more like a gel/sticker hybrid.  I wasn't mad at it though, my under eye area felt great and looked a little plumped for me to finish off my skincare and get my makeup on. I happened to see that they'll be included in Ulta's 21 days of beauty... now to figure out how to get myself to an Ulta about two hours away on a Monday?

After work I started with the Consonant DHE mask.  This is my second go with this mask and I found that I liked the herbal scent this time around.  I did have a little itching, but I'm thinking this was just random me being itchy since it didn't last the whole time I was masking and was only in one spot.  My skin looked clear after the mask came off and I felt like it did detoxify, and while it didn't hydrate, I don't think I was dry either. J is a consonant so I'm calling this within the schedule lol

I washed my hair using the Living Proof Triple Detox Shampoo tonight and I feel like I didn't need quite as much shampoo as the last time I used it.  Again, my hair felt like straw as I was washing, but as soon as I used the hair mask after, it felt great. 

The Amika Triple Rx Mask is a favourite.  I've repurchased a few of these. The brands co-founder and creative director is Vita Raykhman.

I used the Yadah Collagen Mask Pack post shower as my chaser to the mud mask.  I like this.  Had it on for a good half hour, no discernible scent, a solid snail mask. My skin was plump and moisturized after.  Yadah cosmetics was founded by Anna Kang and she is currently their CEO, so that's a second woman in charge!

And then I put on a watermelon sleeping mask from the Cream Shop.  @eshoe mentioned she was going to do a watermelon mask tonight and I remembered that I had this to try out.  It smells beautiful, little like fake watermelon, but super yummy none the less. It's called a Gelee mask and when I scooped some out the dent I left in the jar fell back and self leveled so that it looked like I hadn't touched it.  Odd, but cool.  Felt nice going on, and my skin feels great an hour later.

The Bite Beauty lip mask was my last mask for the night.  A winner in my books, Bite was founded by Susanne Langmuir.  I know she's not an owner, and honestly I don't know if any of these women mentioned are owners, but I figure founding a company is still pretty bomb!

@lmasterIt really is great.  You get a huge tub of it for maybe 12$ at TJ's.  I used to pay full price for it at a salon and was ecstatic to find it for less than half price. It's really helped with my dry, split-ends lately... Must get haircut soon!

Wow you did load up on the masking last night, @missjeanie! I share your exact sentiments with the LP Detox. I was going to pick up a DS for someone the other day and noticed they are OOS, bummer 😕

After you use the eye gels, take a close look at the area they covered - they leave an almost slight pinkish shimmer that really makes the area appear brightened. I love them because I haven't found another eye mask that does this. It's a similar type of shimmer that's in the Touche Éclat.

@eshoelol I was inspired to add in the watermelon mask, then figured, heck... lets just do this up!

Did you notice the LP full size is only 5.5oz?  I had just assumed it was 8 since the bottle was the same size as other full size products.  I'll gladly use this up, but I'm still on the fence about a re-purchase... I likely will unless something else comes along that catches my eye in the same catagory.

I'll have to take a closer look for the shimmer next time!  I really enjoyed the eye gels, and noticed that they're going to be a part of the 21 days of beauty at Ulta so I've got it on my list to get down to an Ulta after work on that Monday... I mean if you can't make a semi-random road trip after work for eye gels and a quick qdoba fix, then are you really living life? lol

That’s the only time I buy the Eye Gels @missjeanie, just stock up! They go on sale at least twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall. Works out nice😉

So many goodies here @missjeanie! The Amika Triple Rx mask is amazing! I never would have known about it if were not for @Shosh85! Love that mask and I have trained my eyes to be on the lookout for it whenever I go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls. 🙂 It's good to stock up on the favorites, right?! LOL! I did not know that Yadah was a woman founded company - love learning that. I have some Yadah masks I may have to see if I can incorporate into this week's masks. That's very interesting about The Creme Shop Watermelon Gelee mask - it reminds me of the Dear, Klairs mask I used that leveled back to its original shape as if I never scooped any out. Interesting.

Always good to stock up on favourites!!  Lol... I may or may not have a back up tub on hand already.  I was actually stuck trying to find women owned companies and then just started working my way through some brand names to see what google could help me out with.  I didn't know that Yadah or Amika were women founded.  I love that I'm learning so much not just about the masks through the challenge but about ingredients and companies as well!  The watermelon cream mask was a surprise for sure, I've never seen anything like that!  The scent was just divine putting it on, and my skin wasn't over hydrated this morning at all, but it's doing well considering I bumped my retinol up to every night this week.

Smart and resourceful @missjeanie! Love Google, what did we do without it? I'm sure the encyclopedia set I had would not have had all this information regarding skincare and brands. 😉  That watermelon cream mask just sounds more and more amazing - love that it's keeping your skin hydrated but not overly so and has been good with your retinol use. Wow, every night this week? That's great missjeanie; something I aspire to get to; my approach to retinols is the ultimate 'baby steps' plan - hahaha!

I'm thinking I'm going to bring the watermelon sleeping mask with me on vacation next week.  I love the scent and it'll be lightweight enough in the warmer weather.  I wanted to be patient with the retinol, but I figure I've been using a different retinol for a while, so my skin's already semi acclimated... and ya... no patience. lol luckily I think all the masking I've been doing lately has been a real help with keeping things hydrated and moisturized.  I really think this thread has saved my skin with how brutal the winter has been. I'd be a flaky mess without this push @itsfi  !

@Shosh85That's where I grab the Amika mask as well... I couldn't believe I'd been paying full price when I see how often it's there now!  I'm on my third tub of it from TJ's now and if they stop carrying it at some point I'm going to need to find a new mask lol!  I've gotten so spoiled by the price that I use it as a conditioner at least twice a week.  I picked up the yadah masks there as well.  I bought one pack of 12 and loved them so much I went back and grabbed another.  I have shopping problems lol

Extra time?!!!  Wanna switch lives? 😅 hehehe, i’m so excited to try those yadah masks!  I made a facestory order just to get those and it all arrived today!  I had a hard time controlling myself in a store that just sold sheet masks so any progress getting through my stash has been foiled.  @missjeanie
