How fun would it be to work in the marketing dept. of some of these companies @heartsmyface?!?! That packaging is great!
The YTTP Superberry has maqui berry and I LOVE that mask. ETA: Love the “Dry Itchy” on the bad guy’s arm👍🏼
sounds like a dream job!!! And ouhhhhh, That sounds really goood!! Does it smell like berries? @eshoe
Oh darn!!! That sounds too good to be true!!! Okay adding it to my cart but not hitting buy yet. I have already messed up my mask no buy by buying a few yadah masks and...,well, I guess my shame will be known soon. @eshoe
This mask sounds wonderful @heartsmyface ! It hugs the face, such a great fit ! Did you find this mask during a trip to Japan ? I’ve never heard of this brand before?
Yeah, I got it at the 109 mall in Tokyo. They have all sorts of shops in there with fun sheet masks:). The packaging was the real lure but now I’m in the hunt for the masks for the actual masks! @keana1
Thanks @heartsmyface ! The packaging is very attractive, I would have bought it also had it been available at a US or Canadian website!
@heartsmyface This sounds fantastic! It's hard to find a mask with awesome results AND cool package art too! I love it! It looks like a good comfy fit! 🙌
PS: I spy a cute little guy in adorable onesie pajamas in the background 😉😍
Today has been another fantastic day of gross masking for me! I started off my day with a pair of eye patches I picked up in hopes of finding something that doesn't sting/burn. The Vitamin C Collagen eye mask from Azure Kkosmetics were tossed on this morning when I realized I had more time to get ready. They really are extra large and darn near covered half my face. My under eye area felt quite moist, though I noticed nothing with my fine lines. Not too bad for a random pick up. I'll use up what I have for sure. I'd grade them a B+.
The Yadah Collagen Mask Pack is where the gross comes in, Snail Secretion is actually the third ingredient in the serum. I went through the ingredients on this mask and couldn't find anything that stood out as a pass to me. The mask had no scent to it at all, it was a bit less slimy than the Tony Moly Snail Mask of Monday, but the serum stayed wet on the mask for about 35 minutes when my nose started to dry up (it's always my nose that dries first). The mask was a smidge longer in the chin, but stuck to the underside of my chin just fine and I liked the thicker piece between my mouth and nose. The eye holes also had slits already in the mask to help it fit better which worked out great for me, as that's where I usually need to snip, if I need to. My skin feels great right now after having had it off for about an hour. My pores still look more or less the same, but my skin feels plump, bright, and well moisturized. This mask gets a solid A+ from me. I'll pick up more to have on hand if they still have any at TJ's!
ooooh another snail mask @missjeanie . Looks like you've really grown to like them. I think I have something snail in my stash I need to pull out for this weekend. I'm very interested to try it now that I've seen so many great reviews on snail slime 😄
@GalPalVal17 oh you really should! I'm loving it now that I've tried it! From all the touted benefits it sounds like it really is for every skin type! well if your skin type can get past the ewww factor lol
@lmaster who knew that gross week would be such a successful week?? lol I'm loving everything this week it seems!
sounds great @missjeanie - glad it worked out for you even if it's a little yucky
The yuck factor is there for sure, but if I keep seeing results, I'm okay with it lol
I think I have a box of these Yadah snail masks, too. 🐌 Love finding good sheet masks in bulk at TJ Maxx, etc. - pricing is a great score! 💗 Wow, you and snail masks have made quite a pair this week, @missjeanie! 😃
@itsfiI've really been enjoying the results from them! I'm so glad you've introduced me to them, I can see them being in regular rotation in my routine! I just love TJMaxx pricing lol... one of my goals this year was to only buy things with some kind of a discount. If I'm going to buy as much as I do I need to save somehow lol!
@missjeanie, one of things I’m hoping to figure out this year is to pick a handful of masks to have on a regular rotation. I’ll come up with a rotation once I figure out what masks (sheet masks and rinse off) are in the mix. 😉 Snail masks are definitely in the rotation.
Yes!! The buy-if-on-sale/discount rule is a good one! It helps you use what you have (because the amount of stuff I do have doesn’t seem to reflect that I only have one face for all of it 🤣), and your wallet likes you more. 😂 I’ve been on a low buy/lower buy for most beauty things and on an almost no-buy for masks - if I see a ridiculous deal on a mask or skincare product I know I’ll use (usually at TJ Maxx type stores), I’ll pick it up. The low-buy / no-buy gets lifted when I’ve made a significant dent in my current stash (with exceptions for certain sales). I’m moving through my skincare at a really good rate, using up the makeup is coming along at a slower clip. 🤷🏻♀️
@itsfiYes!! I'm hoping that through these challenges I can find some good solid easy masks to keep on hand as everyday masks and maybe a few that are a little more pricey for special occasions or specific circumstances.
I went on a low buy last year mostly because I saw how much stuff I had in every category versus how much I was using. I tried to only repurchase a few staples when I really needed them as opposed to getting excited over launches. I noticed over the year that I really use the same make up products all the time... I don't need new eye shadow palettes, I use the same 5 types of colours endlessly. And lip products, that I loved to buy, were sitting unused as I just kept reaching for the easy to toss on tinted balms and stains. I doubt I could use up all my eyeshadow and lipsticks in two lifetimes. But skincare is where I started to get picky. I found that I was using up samples and figuring out what I like and don't need. I also slowed down big time on purchasing just to get a promotion code, especially if it was a bigger gift bag type promo where I knew I wouldn't use half the products. I'm also at the point of cancelling Ipsy, I think I'd rather just spend the 20$ on products that I actually want. By forcing myself to wait for a sale at Sephora to make purchases there I'm getting over the excitement of new products and seeing what I still want after that initial launch rush. So far it's been a good strategy for me, though I do tend to do most of my purchasing at the October/November/December sales anyhow.
@missjeanie, you just described me. 😂🤣 I canceled all but one subscription box and it’s a quarterly box so it’s not every month. This year is about curating the products that will be the workhorses in all the different categories - skincare, makeup, hair care, fragrance, bath and body products. It’s coming along, some categories more quickly than others. Last year, I tried to branch out with makeup to pick up colors I don’t have (ie, a green shadow I could wear and that would pair well with any of the hundreds of neutrals, nudes and browns I seem to be drawn to like a magnet - hahaha 😂)! Now I just need to use them. 🤪
