Each week features a different theme, as well as a letter of the alphabet for coming up with new masking ideas. Feel free to post as frequently or infrequently as you would like, with or without following the challenge; they are guidelines and just something we do for fun. We love hearing about every masking experience, and suggestions are always welcomed!

Please include the brand and name of the mask you are trying out, as well as a photo if possible. Any other details are greatly appreciated, including scent, if it's an exfoliating mask (include acid info if known), your overall experience, and whether or not you would repurchase. Don't forget to include a grade (thanks to @ShortErica for the idea) to help others along the way.

Mask Hacks - Here are a few to get started thanks to our lovely BIC-ers, a big thank you for these fabulous ideas!

Trim off long chin and add to forehead for sheet masks	itsfi
Squeeze tube lip balms (like Bite) into pans and place in magnetic palette	sonnydee
Layer lip sleeping mask (such as Laneige) over regular balm	cianni
Derma plane prior to a peel-off mask to ease the pain of removal	heartsmyface
Warm water helps remove clay masks quicker than cold	cianni
Lay sheet masks flat prior to use so the serum is more evenly distributed	eshoe

So my choice of mask tonight qualifies for both H & gross. BUT it back fired on me for gross week🙄. It wasnt gross at all😏. The smell of Tata Harper products are usually stinky & the color green. Not this one, it's a honey colored like jelly substance that's a bit citrusy. Very pleasant (@Shosh85 you may want to look into this😉) it does dry down but doesn't tighten too much- I did leave it on for a good 35 min though. My skin did feel smooth, soft & did have a glow to it. I have a bigger ds & quite a few foils, so happy to add this to my rotation. I dont know if its $60 whatever worth. Not my pic, I took out my contacts before I snapped a pic of the foil!😜

@sonnydee  @lmaster I've only tried a sample of the illuminating moisturizer and that one time has made me disinterested in Tata Harper because of the scent. Glad to be part of the club!

Oooh I like this one @sonnydee but it’s been while since I used it. Too bad (and glad🤷🏻‍♀️?) it didn’t live up to your gross hopes but glad it was a good masking!

Am I the only one that enjoys the smell of Tata Harper’s serums? @sonnydee . This mask, according to your review sounds like it also has a great smell ! Honey and citrus, yummy! It’s 78$ CA for 30g and contains BHAs, sorry not for me ! 🤑 and I can only use BHAs for 20 minutes maximum before my face swells up! Glad it worked well for you, smooth, soft and glowing skin, wonderful!

agreed gross fail. I've tried a few Tata products so I immediately thought I would be ok for gross week with stinky& green (especially the clarifying mask🤢) @heartsmyface it is a good mask😁

it washes off pretty easily. I was able to do it with warm water & my hands without the aggravation of grabbing a washcloth. You are going to want to grab your moisturizer afterwards, but it isn't for hydrating. My cheeks felt a lil tight afterwards but the moisturizer saved the day @itsfi

Tonights Holiday Monday Masking for H week...

The By Nature, purifying charcoal & Manuka Honey mask... I opened the packet and found there to a be a light scent of sweet honey, maybe a bit of warmth to the scent as well.  This was also the same time I discovered that not only was the mask itself black, but so was the serum.  The serum was fairly runny but I may have been more concerned with it only because it wasn't clear.  The mask felt like it was warming on my skin the entire 15/20 minutes I had it on, it wasn't burning by any means, but it was definitely warm.  I pealed off the mask and there was quite a bit of serum residue on my face.  The instructions say to rinse off your face with water and pat dry.  As soon as the water hit my face it felt hot.  It wasn't hot on my hands at all, but it must have interacted with something in the serum.  I turned the water to straight up cold and rinsed the rest off.  My skin looked really good after the mask though.  My pores looked tightened up and clear without any tight feeling, my skin also looked a bit brighter.  I'm not a huge fan of the mess with the black serum so I wouldn't purchase again, but the mask did have some nice effects, I'd use it again, if I had another.

@lmaster Neither had I!  lol I sat down on the couch, put my laptop in front of me to check in on here/use the camera as a mirror... .opened up and the pouch and what the heck??? Next time I see a black serum I'm getting up  and going to the sink!
