@itsfi I love the comparisons you did between the Boscia and Milk masks! I've been super curious about the Milk one and have it on my list of masks to try. It definitely would be great for travel!
Its been awhile since I've tried that Goodal one, and actually totally forgot about it. Haha! I remember thinking I liked the results, but didn't remember much else. I reviewed my notes to jog my memory, and this is one thing I wrote: "It was a bit of a challenge positioning it on my face due to how rubbery and slippery it was"...haha! It seems almost half the time I just end up removing the bottom part, long before the top – plus, it just makes it easier to eat anyway. 😂😂 I'm glad you liked it despite the fit and slippery-ness! 😉
@Shosh85 oh, I feel better; I thought the slip-sliding of the Goodal mask might have just been me. If I got one part to stay something else would start slipping. There were several "ohhh, nooo!" and "oh, oh, just stay..." coming from the bathroom when I was trying to adjust it. hahahaha! 🙂
Comparisons are always fun and helps make only having one face more efficient. LOL! It'll be nice to see how the Milk green tea mask performs when the weather is warmer and my face oilier.
I love that the ‘notable ingredients’ of the Goodal mask include snail mucin, @itsfi 😆 The things we do for beauty. Sounds like a great mask and I have to Gree that anytime I’ve used a mask with that notable ingredient, it’s given my skin a pretty glow.
Funny you tried the Milk, I was doing a last-minute run through of my masks for the week and green was on my mind. I was wondering if you had used it. A mini of it or a double mini set would be great, especially as a holiday ornament this year!
@eshoe, a mini set of the Milk masks would be a great idea. There's a lot of product in the regular size. Haha! Yeah, I've gotten good results from snail mucin products; I was definitely skittish about it before I used anything with it in the ingredients list, but now, it's "oh, a snail sheet mask. I wonder if it's a good one." LOL!
Any gross mask sneak peeks for next week, @itsfi 😉
@eshoe, I have a placenta and snail sheet mask I'm planning on using tonight - because why not just go with a mask with not just one, but two, ingredients that can make someone squeamish?! LOL! 🙂 Probably going to try a bee venom and snail mask later in the week. I thought it would be the first time I used both - placenta and bee venom, but nope. It looks like I used sheet masks with both of those ingredients last year. I didn't recall it immediately - I think I was trying to not remember. Hahaha! I'm still masking so they can't be thaaaat bad, right, eshoe?!
I'm glad that I didn't have a reaction to the bee venom one last year; puts me more at ease to use the one with bee venom and snail mucin - that was an 'iffy' mask for this week. I also set aside a bunch of hydrating masks and aloe ones as well, just in case any of the 'gross' masks I use this week don't agree with my skin.
Now that just might take the cake @itsfi 😆! I picked up a placenta mask for this week’s challenge and it makes me cringe just to think of it. But I *think* it might just not be as bad as it seems.
I think I remember that bee venom one-only because masks like that tend to stick out😂
@itsfi I'm so excited to see you review the Milk stick! I've been looking at these sticks since they came out. The ease of application really hooked me in. I'm hoping to grab one during the next sale. Glad to know they really are that easy to use! It's funny... when Milk first debuted at Sephora I kinda wrote them off (remember the mini mini barbie lipstick samples?). But slowly they're growing on me!
@missjeanie, hahaha! 😆 I also had the same feelings you did about Milk when it first debuted, but the Milk Makeup masks (green tea 🍵 and the watermelon 🍉 ones) are getting me more interested in the brand - masks usually hook me in. Masks, lipsticks, foundation, brushes, eyeshadow...fine, pretty much anything skincare or makeup related will hook me in. 😆 I know I’m weak!! Hahaha! 😂😂😂
@itsfi The watermelon mask is the one that's calling to me the most. I recently tried the Milk mascara and I don't mind it at all. I prefer dryer mascaras and after a use or two this one was the perfect consistency for me. I also tried their cheek colour in a mini from the Black Friday sales... I think from those sales? I quite like a cream blush and this one is lovely. Easy to blend, lovely colour thats just the right amount of pigment. I'm really excited to try the mask now!
@missjeanie, the watermelon one is probably better suited for my skin year round. I tested it on my hand in the store and it glides on well and has a nice cooling effect to it as well. Is that the Kush mascara from Milk? I'm the same way with mascara, a dryer formula is best, not so weighing on my lashes. I prefer waterproof but if it's on the drier side, that often works just fine as well.
@itsfi Yes, the Kush one! I usually love the MJ Velvet Noir or the TF BTS mascaras because I prefer a natural brush and the drier formula. The Milk has a great brush for me and the formula is similar in "dryness' to the ones I love. I don't usually need waterproof so I can't really speak to that aspect. The watermelon is the mask that I think I'd get the most use out as well.
@lmaster the boscia pudding mask is lovely! 😊 I’ve had some good results with boscia masks! 💕
I picked up a pack of 10 of these masks last week at TJMaxx for about 6$. I figured if they were a huge dud it was only 6$ and if they were at least ok, then I could stick them in the fridge and use them as a cool down option during the summer. The masks are made by Mitomo in Japan and I figured a Geisha on the front sorta counts as a G mask lol. This wasn't the mask I intended to use today, but for some reason I keep putting that mask off. This mask says that it's a collagen & lithospermum essence mask. I googled some of the ingredients and some sound great, some sound iffy, but none sound flat out bad. Fragrance is listed as the last ingredient, but I didn't notice a scent at all. The mask fit well, it had lots of slits to help adjust. I left it on for about 40 minutes and could have for another 5-10 longer. The instructions said 20-30. There was enough serum left in the pouch to cover my face again, as well as my decollete. My skin didn't necessarily look any better after taking this off, but it did feel nicely hydrated. I used this mask in the afternoon and didn't apply moisturizer after until I went to bed. I don't think I'll have any problem using these guys up. And for the price, I'd totally recommend giving them a try!
@missjeanie I've heard good things about these! Glad to hear you like them! I've seen these at TJ Maxx a lot, but have been trying to stick to my rule of not buying packs of masks unless I've tried them first! It's a very hard rule to follow! 😂 I may just pick them up anyway if I happen to see them. 😉
@Shosh85 your rule makes total sense! I was a little hesitant at picking up so many as well but figured if I didn't like them I'd pass them on to someone else to try out. I'm starting to see them pop up on clearance now as well!
I'll keep an eye out for the cherry blossom one too! If I remember correctly there were at least 4 or 5 varieties at TJ's when I last looked @lmaster.. Glad everyone is liking these!
@missjeanie yes I know there are more varieties with this particular mask, unfortunately my tj Maxx only had that Cherry blossom pack 🙄
Oh I'll let you know if I find anymore next week if theres one you want to try! @lmaster
